Unfortunately, we were told they had run out of champagne and would not be honoring the special. A'dor wasn't what I expected. I honestly didn't know what to expect, but it didn't give what they show on social media. The food was really good! And the vibe was pretty cool. Our server was really sweet, but she seemed preoccupied, and a bit inattentive. It took more than an hour for our food to come out, which I thought was a little unreasonable. Honestly deserves 0 stars, advertised a $5 special flyer from 8-10 & proceeded to tell us we had to spend $450 at 8:30 to even sit in a section. Asked to move inside then and waitress said no space available but manager said all inside tables are $500+... at ador? K. Waitress and everybody else who came to the table were extremely slow & barely came back every 40 minutes to make sure the ended and forced us to buy the bottles. When we Asked to speak to the manager she was EXTREMELY hostile, basically threatened us to buy the bottles or leave and made sure our service went downhill from there, sat at the front just pointing and looking at our table and toh I couldn't tell her apart from the people walking into the club. Manager threw in some bs about it being spring break and everything had a bottle minimum, contradicting given they literally had $5 mondays advertised and we asked the table next to us and they'd been given completely different requirements. Food took forever so i asked for a refund because i was leaving and the "waitress" who was dressed in house attire might i add disappeared for an hour. Avoided me all night, spelled the sign wrong purposely despite us buying the $450 extortion bottles plus $200 "taxes". I wanted to go here for some time and finally made it here on a wed. On Wednesdays, they have happy hour until 7 and 20.00 bottles of wine with a complimentary hookah. They also had a DJ and a band. This was a nice vibe. Service wasn't the best when I first arrived. There was only a bartender working. After we moved to a table and had a server, things were better. I had the appetizer sampler with southwest egg rolls, wings and mozzarella sticks. This was pretty decent. They have all day happy hour on Monday. It seems like they have a different special daily which is a plus because they're so many places to go. When we arrived it was empty both inside and outside and the hostess named we'd only be able to stay for 90 minutes unless we pay $250 and then we'd be granted 2.5 hours instead of 90 minutes. Initially we were quite irritated with that esp since NOBODY was there. We opted to sit outside. Menus are avail through a QR code and we all came for the hot reviews about their pizza! When the waitress arrived (she was amazing btw) she told us that the only menu available based on how much table time we had would be brunch so we in fact couldn't enjoy their pizza. This is an on trend nice new spot. It's a kitchen lounge that was converted to a house. I came with a friend while visiting. A friend of hers was hosting a birthday party. It's not the biggest place but it can work for groups. I think their were 10 in our group. They have seating at the bar, tables which typically seat 4, along the wall they have booths to sit in with a living room style table, and they have a lot of seating options outside. The DJ was great played new and older music with great transitions between. It has a nice vibe with kind of a soft blue lighting. We got there around 9 and the place was full, pretty much only a few tables were open. I did not order any food, but I did order a pineapple drink. It came in a pineapple that was carved out. So it had the pineapple juice and Patron. It was about $30. I like the aesthetic of it so I wanted to try it but would not get it again. They have cocktails for about $12 and shots for about $7. Came here for their Wednesday R&B night with a couple of friends. It gets pretty packed, so you better arrive by 8:30 if you want a free table. By 9:30 all the free seats are taken and the tables are reserved. There's both I sore and outdoor seating. The artist who performed was pretty good, but the host who kept the crowd growing in between her sets could sing too! I got the southwest egg rolls and French fried. Egg rolls were good but not great. And the fries were....fries. Drinks are reasonably priced, but the service wasn't great. It was difficult to put my order in at the bar. That was until yesterday around 5:30pm we had decided to go to A'Dor after work to "EAT, DRINK & SMOKE HOOKAH"...you know spend money in a "BLACK OWNED ESTABLISHMENT" but little did we know that on this day they would adopt some of the "CRAZY PROFILING METHODS" that Midtown is known for when they don't want "CERTAIN BLACKS" in their club! So you know as an establishment you have a horrible "PARKING SITUATION" and some folks literally have to walk blocks in order to get to you which is already a turn-off. But after we found parking and walked a couple of blocks to get to the door...they tell my wife that she couldn't enter their establishment with her "BACK-PACK PURSE"!!?? Consider this, we've been there plenty of time & she's had the exact same back-pack purse with her every time (It current fashion), mind you it was early in the day and they weren't even popping & mind you there was no signage or anything posted like that at the entrance or on their website & to top it all off...who do they think wants to keep walking back & forth for blocks in this Houston Heat!!?? #gtfoh If you gonna start treating your black customers poorly & screening based on who want in your establishment by having the doorman start finding lame excuses to turns us away...don't complain later about "US / YO PEOPLES" not supporting your establishment anymore‍‍‍‍....& no we didn't walk back to the car to put her purse up, we walked back to our cars & went somewhere else to spend money! ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍ read more

The only issue I had was with the security guards. These security guards on duty are former workers at the Address and have no respect for paying customers. A'dor management, that's bad business for the future, because these particular security guards (former workers at the Address) have always been they type to patronize the customers.
