This place was a hit! All the bartenders were so nice and friendly. Most staff wore a mask. The inside was spacious and wasn't too crowded on NYE but has a nice size crowd. DJ was lit & the MC made me feel special for celebrating my birthday! They brought out a cake for me which made my night! Now the wings...the food was literally amazing!! This is by far the best (chill) hookah lounge I've been to in Houston thus far. It's in a perfect location (Washington) and right by a lot of bars and restaurants. The interior was really cute and I loved the layout! You can tell they actually put in effort to decorate and they stuck to the same theme throughout the lounge. This would be a great place to take your date and great place to chill w/ friends. I absolutely LOVED the music! They played hip-hop/rap and their speaker system wasn't too loud so you can still hear the ppl around you. I ordered the fries which was only $2! They were SO good!.. probably the best fries I've EVER eaten... and they were a good portion. I also ordered a hookah which starts off at $15. The hookah had a good flavor and lasted long. The service was the best I've had at any hookah lounge. It was nice that I didn't have to chase a server down to get my coals changed. This place is BYOB and it costs $5. My only issue is that they didn't have any toilet paper in the women's restroom and the toilets were a bit clogged because ppl were using paper towel instead of toilet tissue. read more

This was my first time at Azuza and I will absolutely be back! First of all BIG SHOUTOUT TO ALICIA FOR BEING THE BEST SERVER/BOTTLE GIRL! Her customer service was literally impeccable! She was was so sweet to us, always checked in on us, served us amazing drinks and just ensured we had a great time from beginning to end. I highly suggest you ask for her if you come here and you won't regret it! Overall I really enjoyed the vibes. It's a great size and you can either sit at the bar if, a table or get a section. The music was cool (it was a Friday night). They played a variety of music: hip/hop, pop, reggaeton etc. we ordered two hookahs and they were very smooth and fresh which I greatly appreciated. Terrible. Parking - there were 5 cars in total with my group. One paid his $20 parking with cash. I paid through cashapp for the 4 others. $70 was our "deal" for the 4 other cars. Azuza - Alex the manager gave us a whole spill about rules and said all the tables were full/booked (there were only about 6 people inside at the time) and the only way to get a spot was to buy bottle service for $300 but even then someone could buy our spot from under us. Is this bidding wars? We decided to leave after hearing all the BS. we were only here for 5-10 mins max. The one person who paid cash for parking was refunded. The parking lot attendant refused to refund me on cashapp for the other 4 cars. The manger Alex had me give him my number and insisted he would get my $70 back to me and we exchanged a few texts and it's a week later and still no refund. Don't go here unless you want to be ripped off. We went to cafe Luxor down there street and had NO issues. read more

I've been here twice in the las 2 months .. once on a Thursday afternoon .. again on a Sunday night. The Thursday afternoon was smooth .. the wings were good .. chilled with some good friends of mine over hookah .. very slight, yet enjoyable. Sunday night, the DJ .. thank you fam. The hits I love and keep in the arsenal along with the ones I've forgotten that still go. Makes for a vibe worthy experience every time. This is by far the nicest hookah spot I've been to in Houston. Great bar selection, and the staff is extremely friendly, and gorgeous. The General Manager Ray even came by, introduced himself, and was extremely pleasant. I would come back mainly because his customer service was superb and most managers won't even speak to the patrons in an establishment unless there's an issue. We had NO issues at all. Me and my bestfriend drove in from Grand Prairie for her birthday and were desperate to find a cool hookah spot to chill at. Azuza did not disappoint. The music was bomb and they DO serve alcohol here. Drinks were about $9. The hookah was a bit heavy on the smoky side ( not in a good way) but after a while it smoothed out. Hookah was about $30 for the two of us. There is onsite parking for $10 and overall we just had an amazing time. Will definitely come back next time we are in Houston. read more

GREAT service! ***Kali, Kelsey, Angel, and Jordan*** are some of the nicest servers ever. Came here to watch the Rockets lose (whomp whomp) with some friends. Sat down and immediately was serviced. If I could give this business zero stars I would. My friends made a drink and hookah order at least 45 mins before I arrived and had not received anything by the time I arrived. There were only 2 waitresses. The waitress for our table came by asking if she left someone's card on the table. Someone else came to take our order and said they were short staffed. My friend went to the bar to order a crown apple, they said they were out.. I started drinking regular crown.. An hour later another one of my friends show up and he goes to order more drinks. All of a sudden they are out of regular crown but they have crown Apple.. The coal on the hookah started to go out so I asked the guy for more coal, he says "That's brand new coal." I give this place 3 stars for the cool chill setup but that is about it. I am here now and have not had a good customer experience from a service prospective. We have been here for 2 hours and have not had any changing of our coals. They do not have coal runners going around refreshing coals. After asking our waiter for fresh coals, she comes and only changes the coals on 3 of our 4 hookahs. Waiter (Caucasian woman with long blonde weave) clearly doesn't want to be here as we have received nothing but bad energy from her. Nice looking spot but any hookah lounge that requires me to go ask for more coals is underperforming. Not to mention the lack of service and attention to their customer's experience. Place has potential and good music but the poor service and lack of attention to the hookahs and customers makes it a place I will not be revisiting. read more

I'm so surprised at the ratings on here. This place is awesome! Great strong hookah! Some things to note. If you want to park in their lot it's $10 BUT they take off the BYOB fee if you park in their lot. Don't forget to bring the booze if you're planning on drinking because they don't serve alcohol. We got placed next to a random group of people in a crowded corner and then we decided to move outside instead. Next we got sat in an area that someone had just thrown up and didn't even get cleaned up. What kind of establishment leaves throw up in an area where people can be seated.
