I normally only write positive Yelp reviews, but our experience here was so disappointing that I felt compelled to share. We came with a group of about 15 (parents and high school athletes) after checking the 4.2-star rating and thinking it was a safe bet -- unfortunately, that rating is wildly misleading. They were out of half the drinks we tried to order. We were literally one of only two tables in the place, and yet food came out one by one -- with 15 to 20 minutes between each plate. It was awkward and frustrating watching others eat while waiting. We even asked if we could help at one point because they seemed so disorganized, but the staff of two on a Friday night just said they were really overwhelmed. How a nearly empty restaurant can be "overwhelmed" is beyond me. The food itself was just okay, but definitely not worth the hassle. It felt like they either paid for reviews or asked friends/family to inflate their rating. Buyer beware -- this is not a 4-star spot in reality. read more

The ambiance and service was so bad just minutes after entering that I had to leave before trying the food. The bartender completely ignored me and talk to her friend instead. The sound from every TV was reverberating so loudly that it made me ill to remain there. Update: I decided to give this place a second try, unfortunately the results weren't much better. I was able to order a drink this time, but they never came back to take my food order and when I asked for my check, it took them another good 15 minutes to bring that. I think the main problem here is they are extremely understaffed and until they fix that problem, I cannot advocate for this establishment. read more

Went to Texas tap house recently for some food and drinks with a friend. We were just visiting the area and wanted a chill place to watch the game. Based on the pictures online, Texas tap house seemed like it would be a great spot. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was pretty big with lots of table and bar seating, large screen and multiple tvs to watch the game.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]All was true however, once we got there it was pretty empty and we were surprised.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] But nonetheless figured we'd give it a shot. The waiter, was very nice but informed us they did not receive their latest food delivery so they had a scarce menu. With that being said we did not receive a menu at all, instead he listed the items we could choose from. Went with tacos, however, before we could ask what the specifics of the orders would come with he was gone. I got the veggie tacos which were okay, no real flavor except that comes from the Sautéed veggies. My friend got the chicken tacos and mentioned the meat was a bit tough. Maybe the food is better on days where they have all the ingredients they need. The service was not great, not attentive at all, once we were served our food, we didn't see the waiter back at table again, for a very long time instead the staff seemed to be hanging out with friends or familiar customers most of the night. But one good thing about this place was they had a great selection of local beers on tap and drinks available to choose from.
