We stopped in for a few drinks instead of sitting in traffic - the bartender was a doll... she was on point and attentive. $3 Coors or Lone Stars!!'

My last stop of my Saturday adventure was here at Woodrow's and it never fails. The place was filled with good people and laughs. Everyone was eating, drinking and enjoying the games that were on. I stopped by the food truck and had a cheese steak and damn it was on point. This is a mist stop anytime on Shepherd.

Bar was clean and had decent vibe. Bar tenders a little snarky. Food menu very limited. Great location. Beer was cold.

Great burger, ice cold beer, attentive friendly waitress, and reasonable prices. I've enjoyed several visits.

What a delicious gem! It was my first experience with Ducky's and I ordered to go…read more I got the Kobe burger and the fig and pig panini. The Kobe burger was huge! The meat was perfectly cooked and the fries were a great addition. For the panini, I subbed chicken for prosciutto and it was SO GOOD. The flavors were incredible. Def recommend both. I also got the vodka pizza and a "create your own" with jalapeños and chicken. Both were exactly what I wanted. Def a NY style pizza with the right amount of crust to topping ratio. The taste was 10/10 for both. Next time, I'll definitely have dine in. The ambiance seems fun--there's tvs inside and games outside and plenty of parking in the parking lot!

Thought it would be tossed in the sauce rather than on a bed of it. Good flavor though. Next we had the Italian chopped sandwich. Fluffy bread. Contents of the sandwich is when everything went downhill for me. I'm pretty sure there was more of a layer of lettuce than the lunch meat and what not. I was so disappointed with the amount. The pastor pizza wasn't bad. It wasn't something I'd care to order again. The meat was big overcooked chunks that made it hard to bite. The balance of flavors was decent. The restaurant was full but still sat quickly. Beyond plenty of staff to keep the table clear. Our waitress left a lot to be desired in service though.

I like a good dive bar, but I was surprised to find The Railyard on the edge of River Oaks. Even…read morethough it's in an affluent area, the bar is very laid back. I stopped in on a Friday evening for a night cap. The bar is a pretty decent size and they have their own parking lot. They have a large patio out front and there was plenty of seating indoors as well. It's a sports bar so there were a lot of TVs throughout. They also have arcade games including Skee Ball and Pop-A-Shot. The menu had beer, wine, and cider, but they do have a full bar. I didn't see any specialty cocktails on the menu so I just asked the bartender, Marc to make me a gin based cocktail. Marc came up with his version of a Corpse Reviver. It had a tart, yet fruity twist to it. I can't recall all of the ingredients he used, but I liked it. I also had a Gimlet which was really good. Marc informed me about The Railyard shot special. Any time a train rolls by, you can purchase a vodka based shot for $2. I'm not much of a shot person, but I went ahead and ordered a White Tea shot. It was really good. Everyone in the bar was friendly and I appreciated the diversity of the clientele. Super chill place, just as a dive should be.
