I will say that it is a very, very lively environment to watch games because of how many TVs are everywhere and people there get really into it. If that's your thing, this is your place. We came here to hang with some friends everything was good but I hate places with small parking lots to have valet parking, so inconvenient. And secondly who taught these bartenders how to make old fashion's - why would you water down the drink first that it's already to go out the bar. The true way to enjoy the drink is to let the ice melt in the drink while you slowly sip. When I initially ordered the drink I noticed the bartender pour the bourbon in the shaker over a ton of ice and just wait a few minutes I mean why take the bell curve out. C'mon do better. read more

The Bier Garden never disappoints. At this point I can't count how many times I've been here. But it's always been a good time! I love that they have free parking on the street. Loved a a recent Sunday afternoon at Bier Garten. They have both indoor and outdoor space and the outdoor space, even on a hot August day was comfortable with lots of fans and shade. Very cute place to come have some drinks with your friends. There are plenty of seating options to choose from and the place itself is decorated nicely with all the lights and greenery. The music isn't too loud thankfully so you don't have to scream to have a normal conversation. The drink menu is quite extensive and there's something for everyone as they divide the menu into different flavor profiles. I tried the heart center and it was a refreshing, tart, and citrusy drink that was easy to sip on. The bartenders make your drinks pretty quickly so you don't have to wait too long in line. This place is cute and unique outdoor sports bar/lounge feel. It's a large space with most of it being outdoors. The outside area is in the middle of two bars and lounge areas. One side is beer and wine with a wrap around bar to enjoy drinks, food and the games. The other side, equally as big but serves craft cocktails and feels a little more lounge like. The space is great for big groups of people and I did see reserved signs so it appears you can sit anywhere unless you reserve a table. The drinks were great and is a good place to hang out if you want a proper made cocktail. I love that they have the drinks broken down into categories so you know whether you're going to get sweet vs boozy, etc. The food was the highlight of the show. We came for brunch and had a veggie quinoa bowl, bruschetta and falafel. They were all stand outs The veggie quinoa bowl was just the right amount of food, it was flavorful and fresh. I dont really care for Falafel but I added a few pieces on my bowl and it gave the perfect crunch. The falafel was a little on the dry side as typical and one of the reasons I don't like them but it paired well in the bowl. The bruschetta was in stiff competition with the bowl. It had the right amount of acid from the tomatoes and vinegar and the bread was well seasoned. It the best one I've had to date. That entire meal for two was extremely filling. However we came on a Saturday and wanted to watch the US Open Championship. Asked a couple times but the response from the manager was "college football is on, we can't put on tennis". Like, bruh, nobody cares about South Florida vs Florida. We sat in the back area that was completely empty and requested to change one of their many TVs to ESPN and the manager refused. I am not the biggest fan of beer so it was nice to see other options available. Their spiked rootbeer was great, highly recommend if you like rootbeer but are looking for a little kick. We visited here for the first time, as a party of three, on 12/27/2024 at about 7:30PM. There is limited parking; however, if you cannot find any in front or out back in the free lots, there is $7.00 valet parking in the back, which is affordable. We were here with a friend who has been here several times. Essentially, there is a beer side, a cocktail side, and then all the seating between the two. It is a very lively place, with lots of room to sit back and just chat and talk. It is also a beautiful place. We mainly stuck to the cocktail side, and the bar was well staffed with about 4 or 5 bartenders who worked very fast to get everyone's drink orders. When we first arrived at 7:30, it was still pretty empty; however, when we left at 9:30, it was crowded and wow they were working fast. I only had one cocktail myself and that was The Skeleton Key. It had Tequila, Watermelon, Lime and some other ingredients. Although I may not remember all the ingredients, it was plain down great. Our table also shared the house made pretzel, which was yummy. While there is indoor seating, majority of the space is outdoors - making your experience here largely dependent on the weather. They do have fire pits placed around for cooler nights and misters in the covered areas for when it's hot out. I found myself at Heights Bier Garten for a few drinks with friends after a nearby Elite Event. I'm a novice when it comes to beer, but I do enjoy it from time to time and it looked like a great place to unwind after a day of traveling, so off we went. As with most beer gardens, the majority of the space is outdoors - they have several circular and rectangular tables set up and a long pavilion in the center that houses more tables and some TVs. The space has bars on both sides - one side serves beer and the other serves cocktails (called Worcester's Annex). I was feeling cocktails, so made my way over and started browsing the menu. But first - aesthetics - the interior was warm with some bar seating, and the low lighting really added to the vibes. They have a vast selection separated by flavors (smoky, sweet, tropical, etc.). We ultimately had three rounds and all of the drinks were quite good. Service was good - everyone I interacted with was friendly. Overall, I was really impressed with HBG - they make good use of the large amount of space they have and created a comfortable vibe whether you are sipping inside or outside. read more

We both got the Harvey colada and WOW. Bruleed sugar on top that you're supposed to let burn for a while before flipping into your drink, completely changing the flavor profile. I mean, how creative! Excellent drinks. I only have good things to say. They also have swings and fire pits outside which makes for a very comfy cozy bar sesh. Heights version of Woosters Garden in Midtown. It's a fun outdoor space that has both a sports bar and a chill bar vibe. Parking is a mess; they have some valet service and street parking is abysmal. Would recommend parking in the parking lots adjacent and walking there. There is a cocktail and a beer bar service. Obviously being very busy, it may take 15min to get your cocktail. I came in for some drinks and food before going to a concert at White Oak Music Hall and this place was close enough. Plus, I'd never been here before, so might as well check it out. I love that they have a private parking lot, albeit small. But you can also find parking on the streets. The ambiance is really nice: you have the courtyard in the center, a bar for beers on one side and a bar for liquor on the other side. It's worth mentioning that the courtyard had plenty of fire pits when it's chilly out (it was kind of chilly and windy when I was here). The bartender who had taken my drink and food order on the beer side was NOT friendly at all. She had a "what do you want? Now leave" attitude when she was taking my order. No smiles, no asking me if I had any questions about the many beers that they offer here. Probably one of the least friendly bartenders that I've ever encountered. When I had asked for, "whatever's similar to Blue Moon", she just walked away, poured the beer in the glass, and gave it to me and didn't even bother to tell me what it was. My experience at other bars? They would always tell me the beer before pouring it. Some other bars would even ask if I'd like a taste first. I ordered the Chorizo Grilled Cheese to split with my sister. Her half had all the meats and my half had none. I had to pick the meats from her half to put in mine. Also, the chorizo was kind of tough to chew; "The grilled cheese is better without meats" was my sister's comment. The fries were on point though. I wouldn't mind coming back for some drinks but will definitely avoid that bartender who served me. I'd order the food again only if I happen to be hungry when I'm here. There are tons of tables, some with umbrellas, swings and swinging benches, and standard tables can accommodate large groups of 6-8 people. There are two indoor areas - one for beer and one for speciality cocktails. Their cocktail offerings are numerous and cater to all flavor profiles (examples: sweet, spicy, coffee). Cocktails were not watered down and contained multiple flavor notes and special touches like fresh fruit, herbs, and flower petals. Additionally, there is a large food menu that can be ordered at either bar. The burger was juicy, not overly messy, and came on a substantial sesame seed bun. We also added sweet potato tots - which were perfectly crisp and well-seasoned, and an order of nicely roasted Brussels sprouts. The large patio is dog friendly as well. Minor downsides include the parking situation, which can be hit or miss depending on the day (there is a valet option for $7 in their rear lot and a few spots in the front), and pricing on certain food items. Overall, however, it was a great experience and a new addition to our Houston collection. read more

One of the trainees made my first drink the "fortune something" but it wasn't good. Not sure if it was the drink or if it wasn't made right. It was to the point I had to take it back to the bar. Surprisingly the bartender was really cool about it and offered to make me a new drink. He asked what my usual drink of choice was and proceeded to make me a new drink and even said "if this one isn't for you no worries, I'll make you a third one of your choice". The first thing I noticed was the parking was pretty decent- there's a lot in the back but also a line in the front for parking. We sat outside but with the afternoon heat I was happy there were fans plus mist coming from the fan. Definitely made it a bit better. There was two different sections one where you order beer and one were you order cocktails. I didn't order a cocktail but I tried others drinks and they were really good!! I ordered food- the veggie flatbread which was different than I thought it was gonna be. It had pesto carrots black peppers. For some reason I didn't read the ingredients but I was expecting something like a pizza. I was pleasantly surprised! The food was pretty good.
