Met up with some girlfriends to try the updated Mutiny dining. We loved it. Steak night here was very good, and we paired that with a wine flight- amazing! Parking was easy in the back lot and side street. Service was attentive and friendly. Now we can't wait to come back and try more things from the new menu.

I used to live down the street from Mutiny so I was super excited to finally get the chance to experience it. The building and interior decor is really beautiful (it also looks beautiful at night when you drive by). Our server Trevor was super kind and energetic which I really appreciated throughout our experience. We ordered the Rose Flight and it was really gracious pours of each of the 3 flavors. We also ordered the green Thai curry mussels, meatballs and the pepperoni pizza. We also ended up ordering 2 glasses of the only rose that wasn't included in the flight just to try. The food came out quickly, the wines also came out quickly and the service was amazing. It was quite loud inside due to several events going on but it didn't detract from the experience at all. Overall, I'd highly recommend for an event, date night or solo dinner. I had a great experience (special thanks to Trevor) and I'd definitely return!

This place is gorgeous from the moment you walk in. The vibe is serene yet chic, and I really enjoyed sitting outside. Our server was attentive and on point. The food was delicious and flavorful, with a great variety to choose from. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I would definitely love to come back.

Parking is crazy but Valet is free (please tip). Restaurant is super cute. I like that they have an outside patio. It's a little warm for me to sit out there right now and there were people letting there unruly kids run around so....I really don't care for the plastic chairs, especially after sitting for two hours but it is what it is. The food however, was delicious. We decided to share a bottle of wine and order off of the restaurant week menu since it was our first time here and I'm glad we did. Everything we had was very good. Several of the staff members checked on us throughout the meal, including both managers on duty. We will definitely be back.

I was really impressed with this restaurant, did not feel like I was in Houston, or in the Heights. I went on a good weather day, beautiful sunshine from all the windows and the food was great! I wanted to get the seafood charcuterie board, but it was too much food, and I was with a group, and no one to split with. I got meatball appetizer and thai oysters on the halfshell. Delicious, beautiful presentation. Will return.

My sister, niece and friends came here for Spanish Palella. We had reservations for dinner and were immediately welcomed and sat us at our table of 5. They had a live singer with a guitar and people sat outside enjoying the weather and ambiance. Staff would stop by and chat with the table about wine pairings and specialty drinks. The chef cooked the beautiful Palella outdoors and the smell was heavenly and it was really a treat to watch. Incredible service start to finish! Can't wait to come back.

Empty and tired feeling on a Sunday evening, valet available but street parking was a block down. Cold evening and patio was empty and we sat outside but no one offered to turn any of the heaters on. Pluses 1) short rib 2) crème brûlée 3) waitress was nice Areas to improve 1) wine flights are still pricey and the cab flight was $40 and just okay, not very medium bodied and forgettable wines. I had forgotten that I was less impressed the first time. For a wine bar, I was disappointed when one of our glasses was full of cork see pic. 2) cheese board was just okay 3) hot tea only had 3 flavors and it was the standard Bigelow tea you can find anywhere 4) bland lamb Pricey meal and beautiful space but I felt unfulfilled.

All of the food was amazing but the lamb shoulder A1. It had a smooth cut like butter, and it was tender with lots of flavor. As amazing as the lamb shoulder was, the sweet biscuit with strawberry ice cream was the best part of the entire meal. The biscuits was sweet and almost salty and paired very well with the ice cream. The bartender was great, he helped me select the perfect flight of wine for my liking and he was accommodating to the risotto that was a little undercooked. Service 5/5 Food 5/5 Environment 5/5 10 out of 10 I recommend!

Delicious and beautiful patio to hang out for a wine night. Recommend all the boards and the sever was knowledgeable about the menu so gave great wine and board pairings.

We went for happy hour and were pleasantly surprised! The service was fantastic and it was very easy to get a table. They had a solid selection of wines and the server recommended some based on what we usually like. The parking is easy and we will be back to enjoy more of the menu.

    Steak frites, pasta, lemon fish

I expected tasteful, pleasant, timely experience - this was not that. In fact, if you want any of those things then I suggest you check out other wine bars. We were guided to our "table "on the patio. It was a very tall coffee table, with a taller bench, and then two ridiculously short chairs. Whoever chose the furniture didn't consider their patrons comfortability. Later on in the evening we observed several patrons having a difficult time bending down from the bench to pick up their plates of food and seat the plate on their lap to eat. After making a request we moved to one of the proper dining tables on the patio. All four of us ordered from the HRW menu for their $39 options. We placed an order for our full course at one time. The waiter told us "the appetizers are usually ready very quickly " - I wish that was the case. We waited so long for our appetizers that the managers came out and apologized to us. The second manager asked what we would like in compensation for waiting about 30 minutes for appetizers with no communication, we told him "whatever you would like to bring us we are happy to receive." Eventually they came with our appetizers, they were OK. A friend and I ordered a bottle of wine but only she and I split it. The entrées were all lackluster. I expected this to be a flavorful and curated dining experience but it just seems like they took cuts of meat, roasted them in plain butter, and put them on a plate. Two of us got the steak, one got the pasta, and another got the fish - none of us liked our food. The entrées were flavorless, but albeit they did not taste putrid. I steered away from a portion of my dish because the jus from my steak make contact with our waiters hand, and he seemed nice but I didn't want to consume that... All of us found the desserts to be unpleasant . The chocolate cake was dry but somehow accompanied with a mousse. The crème brûlée was very liquidy on the inside and the entire top was not caramelized, only the center portion. My buttermilk pie was extremely fluffy and squishy unlike a custard and more similar in feel to a hydrogenated whipped cream . The pie was paired with a sorbet which was an interesting and unpleasant flavor combination. My sorbet was partially melted by the time I got it. After finishing our desserts we had to wait roughly 20 minutes to get the check. It was at this point that we realized not only did the manager not bring anything out to compensate for us waiting so long for our appetizers, but there was not a discount on our bill either. After sending the check back and asking to speak to the manager he did give us a $12 discount on the bottle of wine, the bottle of wine that half the table didn't even touch. He claimed that he originally had planned to send out some hush puppies until he "realized that they were out of them". This interaction struck a nerve, because hush puppies are not even on their menu right now and he acknowledged they are serving a very condensed menu, the same condensed menu that they have been serving for the last 20 days - so how did he not know that they weren't making any hush puppies? I'll never know. Even if the kitchen had no hush puppies, his lack of communication felt like a signal of the overall team's lack of intentionality to curate a dining experience worth the $260. The best items that were brought out to our table were the bottle of wine in the charcuterie board, which makes sense because Mutiny didn't have to make those... When we gave the manager feedback, he assured us that the desserts were made fresh daily by chefs who come in earlier in the day. They should probably just stick to buying their desserts from a restaurant supply. We were told that hopefully our next dining experience could be more pleasant - I think it's safe we are not going back to Mutiny. Their staff had such a hard time managing a condensed menu and still providing a pleasant dining experience. 3 hours of our lives and $40 a person wasted on flavorless food.

The place was dimly lit and there was a lot of seating, both indoor and outdoor. A lot of the seating inside was arranged as couches with low tables, which made for a very casual and relaxing vibe, while the overall atmosphere remained very classy. - Padre's Hotdog (4.5/5): I was told by my friend that this was the best hotdog ever so I had very high expectations and I wasn't disappointed. The bread was very buttery and nicely toasted. The frank itself was very juicy and I loved how the pico and mustard help cut through the fat. The thing that made this hotdog stand out was the cheese sauce. The cheese sauce was delicious and I could probably have just eaten that alone. One thing though, the hotdogs were a bit on the smaller size, you probably would have to order something else or a second hotdog if you were hungry. Would come back again just for this hotdog! Parking/Service: There was a small lot on the side of the building, but other than that you might have to street park in the neighborhood right next to it. The ordering system was a bit of a surprise for me. You have to walk in to the bar and order there.

Our friend booked a reservation and was able to add a fourth person without any issues. It's on Westheimer where all the restaurants and shops are, so it's pretty busy. You can either park on the street or in the neighborhood behind. There's bar, small table and booth seating available. One of our friends who arrived early got to switch us to a booth since we'd have a few plates to share for the four of us. My friend and I shared the NA red sangria. I liked that there was a NA option for that, and you can choose either red or white. We ordered a pitcher since we were sharing. It was delicious and refreshing. I think I had about 3 wine glasses of it. Our group shared the red fish à la plancha, patatas bravas, spinach frittata, olive oil pancakes and bacon-wrapped dates. Some of the dishes were bigger than others. Tapas is meant to be small plates, and they were, but it's a little overpriced. For example, the red fish was $15.50 for maybe 2 oz of fish. The stack of olive oil pancakes were small and thin for $8.50. If you're sharing, it's not that much food. I was going to order another personal stack of olive oil pancakes because that cinnamon butter was so good! I decided not to after I let all of what we ordered and drank settle for a bit after. The valdeon whipped blue cheese under the bacon-wrapped dates didn't taste very good and seemed grainy to me. It was my least favorite. The standouts for me were the olive oil pancakes, spinach frittata that was actually loaded with more veggies and bell peppers and the patatas bravas which was piled with potatoes topped with mayo that melted down and looked almost like melted cheese on top. It's a fun place for friends to gather or a cute date spot. You may or may not be hungry after depending what you order. There are larger plates/entrees like paella and branzino to share.
