The Barn is a picture perfect place to kick back and listen to great live music while sipping with some DeepRoots wines and beer, and since you can BYOF, any snacks of your choosing. We've been here a few times this particular time we went when they had llamas there for you to meet up close and personal. The ticket entry included a glass of wine and they had free music going on by a local artist., the llamas were awesome very tame and very fluffy. My Wife loved him and we got to take some good pictures with them! on the ninth of this month we're going. To a wine and paint event which looks to be very fun. This place holds concerts that has really good covers of the classic rock bands they have excellent food and the service is more than outstanding, especially on the concert nights. They do a Pledge of Allegiance before they start everything. read more

We absolutely love to go to DeepRoots! They do have events for the entire family during the day but we generally go in the evening to listen to the live bands. There is generally a different food truck each week and they also serve charcuterie boards. Various wine selections and non-alcoholic beverages if thats how you roll. Amazing getaway in the country Northwest of Houston. Not far past Magnolia. Very friendly staff and excellent live music. Bring the family or just getaway yourself. If you need that pure country living feel, this is the place. Tried their Cabernet wine, WOW, balanced right in the middle of dry and sweet. Absolutely perfect. This is a country Concert venue in Plantersville, Texas. They are both a Vineyard and a brewery, so they will offer you some excellent Beer and wine selections as well as food, both bar bites and a barbecue food truck as well. Prices are reasonable, parking is free. Eight dollars a pint for a good ipa is reasonable. All in all, this is a great fun location, with adequate free seating. read more

I didn't know what to expect because we went for an event, Alpacas & Wine. The drive was nice heading to winery from Cypress as well as the Winery itself. It was quaint and a lot more people than I thought there would be. You get there, park, show your tickets, can take pictures with alpacas, feed them, visit the rescued donkeys, drink wine (beer available as well), order from a food truck (wish they would have had more than one), relax and listen to live music. This is a very nice and peaceful vineyard. The owner greatly greeted us in. The security guard was very kind and other staff so nice and ensured we were enjoying. The winerita is a very good choice for me because I love frozen drinks, it was so good. The alpacas and donkeys were so friendly to people. The BBQ is from Trail Boss Enterprise food truck. The wines and craft beers are excellent, and the cheese pizza is as good as (or better) than any I've ever had, but the venue itself is really great, too! Finally managed to make a visit here after passing it countless times on road trips via the new SH249 stretch. DeepRoots is both your typical regional "winery" -- and not. It has all the usual characteristics: show grapevines, wines made elsewhere, live music, etc. But it is also different -- more of a beer hall vibe (that's a compliment), lower on the Snooty Scale (and I'm not anti-Snooty -- just giving you a feel for the place). Everyone at DeepRoots was very friendly. We had reserved a table (not necessary if you get there somewhat early), so the onboarding process was easy. Our pre-ordered food wasn't ready when we arrived, but was ready shortly afterward. Caesar salad was so-so, and a brisket sandwich fared somewhat better -- given the newness of this place, it all met expectations. DeepRoots offers a decent wine selection -- I'm often disappointed in the reds choices at these sorts of wineries, but DR had a decent syrah at the dark end of the spectrum to make me smile. They also had a few beers on tap, including Yellow Rose, so extra points for that and the frozen winearitas, useful during the worst of summer. Enjoyed a fun live music show -- the available indoor seating will make this tolerable through the worst of summer. As with similar places, you WILL drop some money here -- you're paying for the experience as much as the food and drink. And be warned -- the entrance/exit onto a single-lane 249 could be harrowing. They've going to have to address this somehow. I didn't see if the entrance via FM1774 is still open -- if so, I'd recommend using that one. The wife and I have been wanting to check this place out so when we saw that an 80's tribute band was going to be there and with the weather turning nice, we pulled the trigger and ventured out to Plantersville. DeepRoots sits on a beautiful piece of property and the family that owns it and all of the staff are very warm and welcoming. DeepRoots is a very patriotic place and they make well know that they love and appreciate Veterans and First Responders. DeepRoots is a great venue to see live music. There's plenty of room for lots of folks and it is a great place to sip a nice wine and enjoy the nice Texas weather. Be cautious of the wanna be tough guy security guard. Texas Style Security? More like Texas Style A**hole! Gives you an attitude for no reason because of the parking situation. There's no arrows to point to where you need to park so you eventually get yelled at to move and park on the grass. Music is loud so you can barely have a conversation and the menu is very limited.
