Texas Sunset wine
Aida P.

This is the second time we have visited this out-of-the-way winery. Anytime we are in the area, we enjoy stopping here for wine and a fun atmosphere. We are sweet wine drinkers, so we thoroughly enjoyed the Texas Sunset wine. Our sweet bartender was very attentive and enjoyable to talk with.

Nice backyard area to sit and relax. Bummer though the day we went. They were out of all but three wines. They did give complimentary samples of the three, but then you purchased either a glass or a bottle. Prices seemed high, and not worth the price. Very nice staff though.

This place is awesome! Great location with nice picnic tables outside and warm Texas weather! Staff is great and very welcoming! The staff did a great job of explaining the wine and where the wine grapes are from. Space is very inviting, both inside and out! Wine is very good too! I was surprised the white wine was delicious! I'm normally not a white wine drinker, but this was nice and sweet, but not too sweet! Red wine was very tasty and again, not too cold nor too sweet! This place is great for large parties, like mine! Plenty of space, tables, outdoor picnic table and a new pond coming soon! Lots of grass area to walk around and plenty of parking! Pricing is very reasonable! I'd recommend this spot for anyone who is in the area to have a great time with good wine!

This little vineyard is quite the small gem. While there isn't too much scenery i think it's a great place to sit back, escape city life and have a lovely glass of wine. We came here as a part of wine tour. Very nice place to sit back and relax. Quiet, serene and calming.. would go back for a nice day date.

Hidden gem! If you think you have the wrong directions, don't worry, just keep driving. It's in a mixed residential/ business spot, but once you get there you'll be glad. Such a pretty location! We had red and white wine, all were great. Even took home a limited edition bottle. Live music played when we visited on a Saturday early evening, which was an added bonus. Will for sure be back! The story behind the place is a great one.

We enjoyed our day at the winery! It was nice to get away from the roaring traffic sounds from the freeway in Houston. It's a great place to get outside to appreciate nature and enjoy a nice glass or bottle of wine. I only wish they would of had more white wine selections in semi sweet to dry.

Great place to sit back and relax in a pretty location, the wines are very good. Also a good place for pets.

Outdoor seating

What an awesome place hidden in Conroe. We came here with a large party before Thanksgiving and this space easily accommodated. The outdoor seating was lovely with a nice view of the property. There were games both indoors and outdoors. The owners/workers were all very friendly and well informed about the wine. The wine itself was also not bad. This isn't the absolute best wine in Texas, but I was very impressed by the location and overall quality! This is a great place for a group or date. Highly recommend if you're in the area.

Are the grapes local?

No. It looks like there was an attempt to raise grapes locally, but it didn't flourish.

We came across Blue Epiphany, located off Frasier and Bryant Street just north of N Loop 336 sitting on 15 acres with plenty of party space.

She had been wanting to celebrate here the past couple years, but the Texans were usually still playing, so she'd pick a brewery in Spring with TVs instead. The entrance is inconspicuous and is one way in/out. Parking is decent. You can take tours when in season. When we were there, there was a baby shower happening in the small barn-looking building and a cooking class on the covered patio. So, we sat outside in the cold with some sun shades covers. It was a huge, open area. The sun was out, so it wasn't too bad. They could use some outdoor warmers or a fire pit. You go inside and order wine and food. They had limited options and didn't have any non-alcoholic wines. They had water and soft drinks for NA drinkers. No charcuterie since they had so many different events happening. There were 2-3 people manning the bar, and they seemed a little unorganized or critical of each other's help. It was strange. I tried a few samples of their rosè, one Chardonnay and a sparkling before I settled on 2023 Laren's Wild Rosé with strawberry and rose petal undertones. I liked it because it was less dry than the other rosé. Other than the baby shower and cooking class, it wasn't very busy on a Saturday afternoon. There were a few parents letting their kids run around the area and on the stage. There was live music inside. Staff would come out to pick up wine glasses and serve the flatbread that some people in our party ordered. The pepperoni pizza looked good. I ate before I got there, so I didn't try. I particularly wouldn't return unless it was a family or friend celebration of some sort. While not a vineyard, there are other wine bars in the city that offer NA options, a larger wine selection and food.

As for food, they make their own homemade pizza which was excellent. Except for the fact that it's on the smaller side, I would actually put this up against any place in Fredericksburg.
