Felt like going to a brewery on Saturday afternoon and decided on Paradigm Brewing. This place is a pretty decent size indoors and has a ton of room outside. There's even a little playground and soccer goals for the kids. So definitely a family friendly place for sure! My husband and I both got a flight and there was an updated menu to choose from, according to our server. All the beers were pretty good, but my favorite was the Unforgettable Blonde. I ended up getting the Candied Bacon & Bleu Burger. It was cooked so to perfection! Super juicy with great flavor! The only thing I didn't like was how soggy the candied bacon was, but I'm crispy bacon girlie. The fries were also really good, very crispy but fluffy on the inside. Had an absolute amazing experience here at paradigm brewing! The atmosphere was great, i loved how friendly everyone was, I had such a nice conversation with the staff Sydney and Kayla when i came in, they were so funny and were so helpful with my questions about the menu and gave me great recommendations. it's nice to find a place where the servers seem like they really love their jobs! Paradigm is an outstanding brewery that also happens to have a legitimately great kitchen--a rare and welcome combination. They typically feature a dozen or so beers on tap, and most of them are excellent, offering something for every type of beer lover. I don't remember the exact date of our visit, but I do remember this: the place was packed. Parking was a bit chaotic, but once inside, the experience made it all worth it. The staff did an amazing job taking care of our large party of eight, keeping the beers flowing and the vibes high. Every meal hit the table quickly, and everything we ordered was delicious. Waited a bit longer than expected before the host "suggested" seats by the bar because a party was going on.... Only to be told by a aggressive, overbearing service attendant that we couldn't sit where directed by the host because I'm not sure why, I couldn't hear what she was saying because I was taken aback by her nastiness, the other two servers immediately jumped in to soothe things over we were asked to wait by the chairs that were occupied by two people who were just about to leave. What a way to start an evening out.... Food and beer were great, just didn't feel welcomed, I think I'd rather spend my hard earned money somewhere else.......I would never recommend this place to anyone in my circle. read more

Absolutely the rudest and worst service ever! The wait staff was rude from the minute we set foot on the property- it told us we "had to sit with our group and order from her(?)". My son-in-law and his friend wanted to be inside in the air conditioning and sit at the bar. The bartender was also very rude. He acted disgusted that our guys were looking at the beer menu board trying to decide which beer to try and turned his back to them to chat with the staffer. (The guys were not part of the party and wanted to sit inside!) Why was that an issue for the rudest server assigned to the party? There needs to be some serious customer service training! We have came a couple of times and it is always a decent experience. Lots of space outside for kids to run and play. The food is tasty, but I wish the flavors matched the description more. Cheese curds were a yummy twist to typical ones, the sandwich was good and the chicken was tender but I thought the cilantro/lime flavor didn't come through much. We enjoy a good IPA and we really only like 1 on their menu. We continue to come back and see other items they add, but it is a drive for us so not often. read more

Over the last year the beer has become just above adequate but the food had gone way down. A few average burgers and salads and wings. This place is huge. They have a mini soccer field, a playground, ample outdoor seating, good amount of indoor seating, a large on-site brewery (that offers tours) and a full service kitchen. Although yours truly was here to enjoy a liquid repast, the pizza and burgers did look pretty appealing - next time. Of the aforementioned beers, I enjoyed the Oktoberfest quite a bit; malty, roasted and light enough to knock back a few. High marks for the Revelation, a cuvée, that packed an 11% ABV punch that you never would've guessed. Good service, super clean and a good spot for a family outing or a boys night alike. Don't Tell Comedy brought us out here and I'm so glad it did! The comedy show was hilarious and the brewery was awesome! Unfortunately, we got there 30 minutes before the show so we rushed to get some food and drinks since food was not allowed in the area where the show was which didn't spoil anything but I forgot to take pics so I'll definitely have to be back. There were a few of us so we enjoyed the queso, Brussels sprouts, cheese pizza, pork belly and ribs. Everything was tasty and washed it down with a few of the house beers, frose and I had the seaglass rose which was perfect. Service was quick and attentive. I love visiting new spots when I am in Houston and this one is one that we will definitely return to. We came here with some family friends for dinner and for the kids to run around because they have a playground and large outdoor area for the kids to enjoy while the adults hang out. The menu here has a decent amount of variety I went with the smaller size pepperoni pizza which was the perfect size to share for 2 people if you are not too hungry. They had a variety of their house beers as well as a couple wine options and frosé for drinks. We also started with the giant pretzel that comes with cheese and mustard, safe to say our group demolished that one quickly! Look. I love this place. So I'm willing to give it another chance but my most recent visit was a bit disappointing. First off, I settled on my beer. I prefer a more malty beer instead of the ever popular IPA. I o ow it's an unpopular opinion but there used to be some solid choices here. Not so much this trip. We had a GIANT pretzel that was buttery and salty and divine. HOWEVER.......one of the best things in the menu is the best no more. The pork belly bites. LITERALLY the reason we came here this weekend and apparently there was new management who changed the recipe? They tasted like they were covered in a burnt, bitter sauce. Asked for some honey for them, and that helped very little. What a let down. These need to be changed back to the old recipe PRONTO. Overall experience was lesser than previous trips. My husband and I visit many breweries throughout the country. The beers here were very IPA-like. Not our favorite, but we still tried them all. Unfortunately, we didn't like any of them, but if you love a good IPA beer, this is the place for you. The service was great, and the place is super kid-friendly. The whole place looked nice, with a huge patio and backyard that includes a playground and soccer goals. We didn't get to try the food. Beer as always has been good but the kitchen has definitely gone downhill. Quality has dropped drastically since I first started coming and today I decided to order the pretzel which is very large but only came with a small cup of cheese sauce and mustard. Stopped back into Paradigm Brewery as the first time we went there, we really enjoyed our experience. But this was quite a while ago. Not so this time. First of all, the receptionist was extremely unpleasant when we walked in. We rarely bring our dog out to places, but we have NEVER run into a brewery that was not dog friendly. Especially with our very well behaved little Frenchie. We were seated outside instead of inside where we preferred, but remember, the receptionist was very unpleasant with us. Ok, nice day, will sit outside where the waitresses fawned over our Frenchie. Never had to be seated at a brewery so this was a first. The waitresses were nice but kept pushing us to buy food. No, we came for a couple of relaxing beers but it was very hard to relax and enjoy a beer with a bunch of unsupervised children running around the brewery. Paradigm seems to have changed from a really good brewery to more of a restaurant and the beer was secondary. Not what we were returning for. There were no menus, only QR codes which did not load correctly on our phones. Not how I want to order my food or beer. Overall, a very disappointing experience at Paradigm Brewery (if you can still call it a brewery) and this is one place my wife and I (and Frenchie) definitely will not be returning to and will seek out friendlier breweries that actually want people to come in and drink their beer. read more

Second time for me to try this place; wife and son I think have been 3 or 4 times now. It's right outside of our neighborhood, which is probably why we've given it as many chances as we have. I'll start with what's good. The appetizers are pretty decent. On this trip we had the pretzel and the sweet chili Brussels. The pretzel itself is good, the beer cheese is runny and not that great, and the mustard seems like a run-of-the-mill deli style mustard, nothing special. The Brussels are roasted and have sweet, semi-spicy sauce that they're drowned in which takes away from the roasted texture but tastes good overall. Hard to really mess up either of those two appetizers. You can go further into Tomball at another Brew Pub that rhymes with Pyre-Pant where both of those items are found and executed better. Now for what's bad. Service is always spotty; tonight if we didn't actively seek out our server, she wasn't checking on us or refilling drinks without us waving her down. We were there around 7pm and the place was honestly clearing out, so maybe she was more pre-occupied with her closing duties than checking on her tables. She was friendly when she came around but that's about it. I had the pork belly BLT for my main, my son got the same, and my wife got the standard burger. For $15.50 you get the sandwich and your choice of fries or tots. We all opted for the tots which were good. Hard to mess up frozen tots. The BLT comes on sourdough bread with an aioli, bacon and pork belly. There were 2 tiny pieces of pork belly on my sandwich and a single piece of sad looking bacon; it was more bread than anything else. This sandwich couldn't cost them any more than $3 to make and they're charging $15.50. There's a growing trend around here where restaurants charge exorbitant prices for gastropub style food but then don't even give you your money's worth when it comes to the overpriced ingredients. The sandwich tasted fine but for $15.50 I expect more than a couple ounces of meat on it and a single piece of bacon. Truly pathetic. My wife got her burger and it looked pretty good when it came out, despite her ordering it medium (when she was asked) and it coming out well done and dry as a hockey puck. For reference, my first and only other time going here I ordered some burger that was $17 and had the same experience; cooked to hell and back, dry as hay. So that is no longer an "off day" for the kitchen in my opinion. They ask you how you want your burger cooked for whatever reason, but I guarantee you it's coming out well-done and then some. I imagine this place does well because the beer is decent and they have a large playground and ample amount of space where you can ditch your kid while you get day-drunk. That must be how it survives and even thrives, because drunk people will eat anything and enjoy themselves as long as they aren't being hassled by their kids. Food sucks (mostly) service is 'meh', beer must be good because otherwise people wouldn't keep going back for the food. Why 3 stars? Because the company was better than the food. --- --- --- I came here to meet up with some family after a tough week. While I didn't necessarily have Paradigm on my radar, I was excited to visit because the weather was perfect outside and I was happy to see the fam. It was a pretty crazy day here with not only the amazing weather, but they were also hosting some kind of Oktoberfest. My aunt arrived way before us, which worked out well because she got our name on the list for a table, which was an hour wait. I doubt this happens on a more typical day. We ordered a couple of pretzels, which ended up being the highlight of the meal. They were the biggest pretzels I've ever seen and I loved every bite. 5-stars. As for everything else? I was a bit disappointed. I ordered a flight of beers and didn't like any of them: Hefeweizen, Coconut Blonde, Cafe Rogue, Oktoberfest. The first two were probably 3-stars, while the latter were more like 2-stars. For my entree, I went with The Texan. It was... fine. Not horrible, not great. 3-stars. First time to Paradigm for Father's Day. Great food and beers with the family. I tried the Hefeweizen and the Italian styled Birra. Both were very good. Parking was easy and the location is conveniently off the Grand Parkway. Pro tip: get the pretzel. It's huge and filling! We will be back soon for more fun! read more

We had to wait 40 minutes for them to arrive, and at that point--the sausage was charred beyond recognition. We also ordered the "Italian Job" sandwich. Omg. It was atrocious. The bread was 85% of the sandwich and the bread was thick and bad. The meat and dressing--they were ok, but for nearly $16????? The bar staff tended to people they knew rather than customers. There was a full plate of the pork belly bites when we arrived, and the bartender said, "oh. I didn't even know they left." The bartender was inattentive and I think she forgot to put our order in. Much time has passed since I've written an update for Paradigm. And many visits have occurred in the meantime! Paradigm has become our go-to place for a Saturday or Sunday lunch. Opening at 11 AM, we tend to meet family here quite often for multiple reasons: **Kid friendly! Superior grounds and activities for the kiddos. There's always something going on, and my grandchildren beeline outside as soon as we get here. They meet up with friends (either new ones or ones they've already met) and play, play, play. Then they'll come in, have a quick lunch (also kid-friendly menu items and great root beer!), then out for more play! **Great menu. Paradigm has perfected what they offer, and nothing disappoints. Their pulled pork fries, although listed as an "appetizer" are worthy of having as a meal by itself. They are my personal choice, seemingly every time we're here. **Quality beers. Ask for a taste and it's brought to you. Take your pick, or pick a flight. All different brews, ranging from the low-ABV variety to the pretty potent ones. Their Coco Loco remains a fave. **Great service. Quick delivery of food and drinks. Pleasant servers. **Seating inside or out is generally designed for large groups, so don't hesitate to come here with your whole crew. There are some smaller tables for up to 4, but those are not abundant. Reservations are not accepted. This is a cashless location, so be prepared to pull out your credit or debit card when you're done. Receipts can be emailed if you choose. A fun place with great beer, food and fun for the little ones. So glad that I gave Paradigm another try after our first below-expectation encounter. Ok, we were just there having dinner this evening. First of all, the food is delicious. The service was even great, friendly and personable. However, I was a server for around 10 years before I dove into my other career. Two things I noticed. The waitress was wearing extremely long, painted, pointy nails. I mean Looooooong. Which shouldn't be allowed. The second thing is when she served us all of our drinks, she grabbed the entire top of the glasses, surrounding the lip of each glass with ALL her fingers. That is so unhygienic. I was taught as a server to NEVER handle customers glasses that way. They should be grabbed by the bottom of the glass. It's just not sanitary, especially with long fake nails. Please, management, train your staff better. It's just gross. read more

The beer is 5 stars. Your service is terrible. You have a patio built for 10 people when it's full you refuse to take 20 extra steps to take the food out to the benches because the patio is full. I would recommend you visit any of Tilmans restaurants/hotels or casinos if you want a lesson in hospitality. Stopped by this spot twice so far. The winning aspect of this brewery is the building and land itself. Huge huge huge wooded yard with playgrounds and basic nature for kids and dogs to pick up sticks and play in the dirt. I was pleasantly surprised by the small business market. Good variety for the suburbs and a small market. I love their support of the local School of Rock. The kids were jamming out in the outdoor stage. It was far enough not to disturb conversation at the outdoor patio and you could move closer if you wanted the music. Bring camping chairs for the stage- only 3 picnic benches close by. The indoor space matches the outdoor in its impressive scale- soaring ceilings and huge glass windows really tie it to the land. Service- still working out the kinks. Online menu wasn't current. They were out of some items my party wanted- the 9" pizzas. Also they are unable to move your bar tab to a table tab. The Crown Pretzle is where it's at! HUGE and great compliment to the beer.
