Finally!!!! A brewery with a majority dark beer selection!!!!! I have lived through the gauntlet of IPAs since I came of age in this lovely city. I have frequently felt under-represented in the beer categories. I love my stouts, and porters, and generally darker heavier beers. Had I no income to the yelp event, I would never have known!!! This place rocks. They have quite a selection, and they have a great space too. Situated in Old Town Spring, quite close to Corkscrew BBQ (my current HTOWN BBQ favorite), this place is a bit of a drive for me. But entirely worth it! They have a smaller indoor seating area, if you're looking to get out of the Sun or get some air. They have a larger outdoor seating area with tables, chairs, benches and the such. They also have pop-up markets, and food trucks that come through. I would definitely check their calendar if you get a chance to get out there and see what else is going on. read more

I came here for the first time after going to Corkscrew BBQ with some Yelpers, 2 blocks away. This is an easy neighborhood micro brewery. Theres a large patio both covered and uncovered. The day we visited there was some pollinators buzzing around us, so we retreated inside. Where there are a few big tables. The vibes were relaxed. Service - was great. Kristin let our group sample all the beers we wanted before deciding on an order. They had some sweet sours like a chocolate one, which I decided against. One of the sours was the most sour I have ever tasted, I wasn't in the mood for it, so I passed on that too. It tasted like a sour patch kid plus a warhead in one- if that tickles your fancy try it! Drinks- I was about to order the blonde, when she told me about there arthurian lemon wheat bear. It was great for the sunny but chilly day. So easy to drink. I enjoyed my summer/spring beer. What a gem! They now have 2 locations but this original old town spring location has my heart! They always have an impressive variety of brews for both the brewery lover and those yet to discover. From sweet and sour sours to IPAs, they have it all, and there's always a seasonal favorite or two to try . Their flights come on King Arthur's sword (ie Excalibur...get it). Hidden gem in old town Spring. I came here for the first time in June 2025 with a friend to try out a different brewery. They are located in old town spring but away from all the other shops/restaurants (near corkscrew). I was very impressed with the two IPAs I had - they have several sizes of pours and I opted for the half pours for both beers. My friend had a flight of sours and really enjoyed them, plus took a 4 pack to go. They do not have a kitchen, but the adjacent building serves food and you can order and bring your food to Excalibur. I overheard the staff say they have an air conditioned room if you can't tolerate the heat, so that's an option, too. The staff was very nice and accommodating - high praise for the gentleman and lady from Georgia (Forgot y'all's names). Overall, great experience and I will be back. Peace. read more

If you are a craft beer aficianado this is the place for you. Quite a selection in a variety of styles. Limited Seating in the main area but we were fine inside when we went. They also have a separate building with AC if you want to be a little cooler. There is a place to order food with some good choices that match with your beer, nothing fancy but good burgers, dogs, and Frito Pie. Service was solid. read more

Excalibur serves up an impressive variety of brews that won't tone down the temperature outside but will certainly go a long way toward making you not care. The menu consists of about 30 beers (and a couple seltzers) that span just about every beer style imaginable. A couple of my favs were the BA Scotch ale and both the plum and tangerine tripels. It's a great way to relax, beat the heat and take a break from the nearby Old Town Spring shops. I jumped in for a quick visit while in the area. It's small, with what I presume is no a/c. The beers are good. I liked the selection quite a bit, and I sat outside because it felt a little cooler than inside. They have some really cool swag: stickers, T-shirts, and I believe there's a pint/founders club. Anyway, it was fun and worth the visit. I liked the vibe, but I can't imagine what it'll be like in the thick of summer heat wise. Hopefully they have fans outside or close up and crank the AC. ‍ They did not have food and there was not a food truck on my visit, but I think they do have one that comes from time to time. read more

Left feeling uncomfortable tonight after a bartenders unwelcoming behavior. We always look forward to visiting this brewery when we are in the area and recommend it to friends who are in the area. Tonight, a bartender walked up to grab a glass from our table and when I told her there was still beer it, she looked genuinely offended, rolling her eyes and walking away. Moments later, I observed her pointing at me and loudly recounting to another bartender how she tried to take my drink but "I wouldn't let her" she then rolled her eyes again at me as if we were the worst and most inconsiderate customers she's ever seen. We have always had great service here and this unprofessional behavior was not only unwarranted but it's enough to make us not want to return. Not sure what has changed, but this new employee attitude is disappointing, to say the least. read more

We decided to come here after having some BBQ at Corkscrew. What a great recommendation from the homie Jason D. This place has indoor seating and a good amount of seats in the patio area. It's also pet friendly so bring your fur babies. This brewery offers varieties of beers from IPA's, to sweet to sour. I'm not really a huge beer guy but I don't mind something sour. I got the blueberry lemonade & I thought the drink was very good. It was sour but the blueberry flavor was subtle. Overall, this is a solid spot if you like breweries. The ambiance is laid back with friendly staff; they even let you try samples. This place doesn't serve food but they have rotation of food trucks in the back. I think they have a hot dog stand next door as well. You can grab some bites and eat here. They also have some classic arcade games for you to play (Street fighter & Pac-Man). Will I come back? It's out of my way but I'll definitely be back when I'm in the Spring area. read more

I had a decent experience at Excalibur brewing. It was cool and I'd probably go back, but I was a little disappointed. Me and a few friends went for trivia on Tuesday @ 7pm. The trivia was fun and I thought it was cool how they had a food truck. It was very small though. I was expecting it to be a little bigger. Also - doing trivia outdoors in the summer heat wasn't super fun. I'd probably go back (although not in the summer), the location is unique and once it cools down it'd be fun. read more

This is my new favorite brewery. I love dark beers and this place specializes in brewing them! It's such a down to earth vibe here. They have some games you can play and great outdoor space. If you want to have food you can go to their other indoor space and grab food from Galaxy Concessions! After a few tasters, I fell in love with their barley wines Barrel Aged Blue Ben V.II and V.III. I got two half pours of these guys and they were amazing. The names of these brews are also the best... It's a kid friendly place so that is also a plus. If you need a place to have good beer in a chill environment please check them out. They are also having a stout fest in a few weeks that looks to be fun! read more

Very cute little brewery! Inside does not have a lot of space, but outside has lots of room! Inside has 5 tables with not a whole lot of space between them. But outside has about 20 picnic tables and 4 high top tables that are more spaced out. My husband had the "Blood of Brian", which he liked. But liked the Camelot Christmas draft better They have quite a few types of beers, about 30 kinds. I, not being a big beer drinker (but coming here for the hubby's birthday), had the "fruit punch hard seltzer" which was DELICIOUS. Tasted like straight up fruit punch koolaid. Staff is very friendly. The second I told the beertender that I wasn't a beer drinker, she asked if I liked sweet and gave me a sample of the fruit punch drink I ended up having a few pints of! I'm going to have to come back because apparently around Halloween time they have a hard seltzer made out of actual candy, so I'm excited to try that (as long as it's not nasty candy corn!). Definitely recommend stopping in to try this place out! read more

Wes looking forward to going. Had not been there in 6 years. When we arrived there parking lot was blocked with a couple of barrels and a rope. No expansion. Could find a place to park. Very disappointed there was no expansion of why the lot was closed or an alternate parking area. The place looked open but not busy. Wish there was a sign or some explaining why there lot was closed. Only complaint is that there be a better option during the warmer months..not HOT months so there's a fine line (LOL). I've only come here during the colder times so it's been uncomfortable but I do like the beer choices. It's a small building not too far of a walk from the main attrations of old town spring. The biggest group I'd recommend would probably be about 6 people, other than that you'll have to get a seperate table and hope there's two avaiable right next to each other. read more

Hidden gem in Old Spring! Apparently they opened last March just as the pandemic was beginning...I'm glad they managed to stay open and hope they thrive. Beers are GOOD. Much better than I expected. They made it on my list for breweries in the Greater Houston area, up there in top 3 with B-52 and No Label. IPAs were top notch, and Key Lime High was pleasantly citrus-y and refreshing. It's also kid friendly with a large outdoor seating area and a little play area with cornhole and giant tic tac toe. This place is pretty cool. Came in on Friday with my boyfriend. Place was pretty dead for being a weekend night. Beers: My boyfriend got the Dirty Pants Lancelot and I got Cletus Blonde. I really liked my blonde, the Lancelot was good. I got the Servin N Fallin and the bf got the Young Merlins Gluteness Sack. I prefered the Merlin over Servin n Fallin. They don't serve food, there is a food truck that comes and leaves by a certain time. We ordered burgers and they were pretty good They have bar games like giant Jenga, connect 4 and cornhole. This place has a lot of good options and all are good. It's a fun place to go even with the kids- they have games and activities. They are pet friendly and have water bowls for your dog.
