At first glance, you'd think there's nothing special about this place. From the outside, it looks like most strip center liquor stores. You'd be wrong, though, this place is excellent! I've got a birthday coming up, and after this mess of a year, I wanted something special to sip on: a nice bottle of Blanton's. So I started calling around. The big chain stores were not gonna happen. One laughed at me, in fact. I found a couple places that had it, but for prices that seemed much higher than I remember: $115 here, $120 there... Finally, I saw a $200 price tag and about lost hope. Then I called Spring Liquor Meadowhill. In speaking with Carlos, he made it a point to tell me he tries to take care of his regulars, which I respect. He had a couple bottles that had just come in, and he would need to check his waiting list, but told me to call around a bit more, and if I didn't have any luck, to call him back. There's lots of things Carlos could've done. He could've sold those two bottles to the highest bidder, or the first one through the door. He could've price gouged the heck out of it like the other stores had. But Carlos didn't do either of those things. He went down his waiting list, calling each person, and I was fortunate enough to get the last bottle. When I got there, he could've charged $120 for the bottle - heck, I probably would've paid it, and I'm sure he knows that - but that's not the kind of place this guy runs. $65 + tax for the bottle, the retail price, and not a dime more. That's a guy that cares about his customers, and realizes that loyalty to your clientele pays off. Spring Liquor Meadowhill is not close to me. It's about 40 minutes out of my way. I'll still be making that trip any chance I get, because it's absolutely worth it. read more

He breaks down flavor profiles with the passion of someone defending their dissertation, and I found myself nodding along like I, too, had spent years studying the emotional journey of agave. By the time I left, I had two great bottles, a better mood, and the sneaking suspicion that Carlos could sell me on literally anything if it came in a glass bottle. I walked in on my birthday to buy mini liquor bottles and they saw my birthday sash and went above and beyond to give the best customer service I've ever received. Everyone there was super friendly, they all knew what they were talking about and we even got some free chapstick the prices were amazing, they have a pretty great selection. Definitely Going back and making it my regular liquor store. They also have a drive thru which is a huge plus and they mentioned that they're going to have pizza and wings soon so thats something to look forward to! Me and my girlfriend went to 'Twin Liquor' for the FIRST time to buy liquor and was asked to leave followed by a racist comment. So, we came to 'Spring Liquor' as the next best thing, and immediately accepted them as our home liquor store. First off they have a DRIVE-THRU!!! This place is where its at! Carlos treats every person like a friend, and has the most well stocked store I think I have ever seen. He will order what you like and keep it in stock! Theres a drive through in case you have a pet in the car and just cant get out and run inside for any reason. I would come here or Specs any day of the week. Walked into the store and was acknowledged right away. While looking around I noticed the staff was very friendly to other customers.
