I believe it's fairly new, but I'm not sure how long it has been open. Although I mainly favor Spec's for my spirits, I've recently discovered Civic Liquor store conveniently located near my new place of residence. I must say it's an exceptional establishment and a rare find! The atmosphere is so friendly and inviting, and the store manager, Monica, is extremely welcoming and pleasant whenever I visit. She greets me with a warm smile and a happy "Hello!" each time, and I especially enjoy our small conversations. She's definitely a people's person, successfully engaging the customers and offering her assistance if needed. Furthermore, the pricing on the products really surprised the heck out of me! They are jaw-dropping lower than Spec's and other liquor retailers that I've patronized in the past. A bottle of Patron Silver is priced at $23 at Civic, but it's $30 at Spec's! Talk about competition! Also, they always have my favorite miniature bottles of Amsterdam Vodka in stock, which are so hard to find at other liquor stores. I can never find them anywhere else, except for Spec's, so this was surprising to me. Overall, Civic Liquor & Wine is the perfect establishment where you can find your favorite spirits conveniently stocked at conveniently affordable prices. As I previously stated, customer service is always on point and consistent. Also, the store is very clean, neat, and exceptionally organized! They have many of the big name brands in stock such as Crown Royal, Hennessy, Tito's, Grand Marnier, and many more. A points and rewards system is available, which you can sign up for at the register using your cell phone number. Parking is plentiful, but it's a shared parking lot with other businesses. Luckily it was still under warranty, but we'd need to stuff all of our food in large coolers for nearly a week until the manufacturer sent someone over. We went to Spring Liquor, right down the street from our home, because of their prices on bags of ice; my dad had gone there the night before. My goddaughter and I needed nine bags for the night. As we strategized how we'd muscle nine bags of ice out of there, trying to avoid two trips, the owner gave us empty boxes to carry them in, while giving us an extra set of hands for what ended up being three boxes--each of us carrying one. Maybe it's because of the many questionable experiences I've had with other businesses in the area, but this tiny deed had a lasting impact on me, and just for that, I will continue doing business there.

The atmosphere is really relaxed and friendly with a large choice of different styles of drinks that they are able to make for you using the Silver, Gold and Dark Rums that they distill. They also have some really delicious Whisky; A White Dog Whiskey and a Single Malt Whiskey which my wife and I really enjoyed. Some many options to choose from and well worth stopping in and having a few tasty drinks and chill.

I first thought it was wallpaper made to look like Life magazine pages, but some pages seemed to be peeling. I don't mind reading hemorrhoid ads from the 60's while drinking my beer per se, just an observation. The furniture was mismatched like estate sale items picked up from people who wanted to think they were high class in the 1960's. You could probably still smell Lucky Stripes every time you sat on the seat cushions. There was no music playing and there were only 6 or 7 (don't you dare do that 6-7 thing with your hands while reading this!) other people inside. So, I had to listen to this pretentious group talking about opera, the child welfare system and other topics while their noses were up and pinkies were out. There was an older guy on the opposite end of the room that seemed to be loudly mocking them. He thanked me for coming as I was leaving.... was he the owner? LOL. I ordered my standard flight from a very nice lady that seemed to be new. I got 2 IPA's (Mongoose Slayer and Striker IPA) that were solid, a Black Venom stout that was ok and a Belgian Quad (Medusa) that I wasn't fond of. There are no food options, but I assume there are food trucks from time to time. The outdoor area has a few games and tables and a more normal atmosphere. If they had some music to drown out Lilith and Frasier, I'd go back and give them a try.
