My first impression of the humble establishment was that it lacks pretentiousness and offers an aesthetic of a hole in a wall minus the grime. While H-Town Brewing primarily focuses on adult beverages, it has an on-site food truck. I was full from an earlier lunch, but my friend offered me his fries and tortilla chips, which were really good. I kicked myself for having nothing but plastic because the food truck accepted only Zelle and cash (I lacked either). It was a bit quiet, but I imagine with football season just weeks away, it's the place to be to catch a game.

They don't offer beer flights, as that would have made it easier to sample more of their beers. There's a large indoor and outdoor space great for large groups, events, or simply hanging out. The brewery is located in the East End/Second Ward and it's owned by the same folks as Brash Brewing. The building was built in the early 1900s. The taproom is moderate in size and there were quite a few tables. I had a pint of the Oktoberfest which I really enjoyed! I also ordered a flight with the following: 3 Seashells, Brash EZ 7, Spin Jammer, and the Exotica Scorpion. I didn't care for the Exotica (it was too sour for my preference), but I did like the other three that I tried. We didn't see any food during our visit, but they do have rotating vendors that sell food on site. You can also bring in food or have food delivered to the brewery. They don't have any TVs, so this wouldn't be a place to watch a game. They do allow free parking at the brewery if you want to take the train to the stadium which is pretty cool. They have weekday specials and they host events like Music Bingo and Yoga on the 4th Sunday of the month. Check their website and social media for events and specials.

The space itself is very nice inside, the kind of brewery my girlfriend would like. It's bright, large windows, clean and lots of plants. They don't do flights on game days even if no one is in line and there are like 10 people in the brewery. The 1st time I came, this rule made sense but the second time they had damn near as many workers as customers. So, I have only tried 3 beers. A stout that I didn't care for and 2 IPA's that were pretty good. There is no food onsite and the 2 times that I was there, I didn't see a food truck either. They also offer free parking for the Astros games if you have a 15,00 tab so that alone is worth the visit.

I enjoyed how there was space for the plant show/booths as well as a singo event on the other side. There is still a bar with select beers, cocktails, and drinks. The servers were friendly and explained why the menu seemed sparse (focusing on event space vs brewery). I got a rice lager and enjoyed it, very refreshing on a hot and humid Houston day.

They didn't serve food but they had a food truck right outside the door. I tried out a couple of beers (phaser fight, fighting windmills) but they also had soda, cocktails, mocktails and water. I really enjoyed the fighting windmills the most. It was described as a mexican lager. The staff were friendly and were able to provide input on the drink choices. It was spacious, family friendly, and cool inside despite the heat. They even had games to enjoy. I'm giving a 3 because the beer was good but not great. With that said, it's worth trying and I would return.

I got my usual flight and for a small brewery, they had a solid sized selection of 14 different styles. I got a Hazy IPA, a Kolsch, a stout and a rice lager. The Hazy Town was my favorite, but I really liked the Koln Kolsch too. They also had a refrigerator for soft drinks and a few different nonalcoholic which was great for my buddy who no longer drinks. Most of the seating is outside but most of the seats are in the shade. The beertender (is that a word...it should be) was very friendly and knowledgeable. I would definitely be a regular if I lived nearby.

The Luck It Irish Red has more weight than some Irish Reds, but in the best way. The Basti Bear Milk Stout is perfection. 2112 Black IPA, just 6.7 ABV, it's a powerful drink. The Jubilee Kolsch was enjoyable. The perfect go-to.
