Love love love love this place whenever you in Houston area you need to go and visit this brewery. It's just amazing. The service is great. They're so pleasant so nice and amicable. I tried the New Year's Ale hands-down, one of the best I ever had!

Cool and chill beer spot. One of the bartenders, Jason, helped me pick the Full Bloom and I found it was a great choice. They have a few snacks, namely pizza, a ramen burrito and pretzels. They do also feature beer flights.

Had a tasting event here. Tu night trivia. We'd pm 2 beers and a pizza $20. It's a runners bar and I can earn free beer for running. More details to follow.

Until Southern Star opens back up, this will remain one of my favorite public houses in the area. While they are not huge, their theming is on point and they have terrific brews. The throwback to a simpler turn of the century pub ambiance is perfect. I was a huge fan of the newest offering, Electric Sun. The pricing is just right, and they have some good pub fare to pair with the offerings.

Stopped in to checkout this brewery on a Saturday night- John expertly served us and made recommendations. My takeaways: (1) Living in Germany most of my adult life, finding a local spot who crafts German styles was an instant hit with me- and the beer is good. (2) the music is on-point, smart business decision- don't change it. (3) food options: doing some research there used to be food trucks which seem to no longer be the case so appropriately soft pretzels were on the menu. We order the jalapeño pimento with pork rinds snack- the pimento was a bit hard to navigate being cold and challenging to scoop. The pizza was Pizza was pretty good pretty good but the beer is the main character here. Maybe bar snacks- nuts, popcorn etc. would be a good option to consider here. Will be back!

While exploring downtown Conroe we stopped into Fass Brewing. Now, we are big craft beer fans and really know our craft beer. Fass is not your typical craft beer. Fass brews authentic German style beer. A lot of places brew Germany styles of beer, but not anything like Fass. The styles they brew are a cut above the rest. From the Dusseldorf-Style Altbier, the German-Style Pilsner to the Nuremburg-Style Red Lager. These are outstanding biers! The beer tenders are knowledgeable and friendly and the atmosphere is very relaxed. I highly recommend visiting Fass Brewing for some great German style craft beer

Nice selection of beer! Alpenglow was our favorite. Nice fun vibe and helpful staff. The flight was a fantastic way to try various beers.

One does not often encounter a microbrewery that can be accurately described as quaint, classy, and cozy, yet Fass Brewing handily achieves all three of these. Located on the courthouse square in downtown Conroe, this is easily the most tastefully-decorated microbrewery in all of the Houston metro area. Equal care goes into the beer: the brewmasters here remain loyal to beer making tradition, yet are not afraid to step out and try something new --without just throwing shovelfuls hops into everything to appease the noveau craft crowd. I am consistently impressed with the beer offerings here. I really enjoy visiting this microbrewery, and I wish them many years of continued success. Prost!

Amazing must stop and check this spot out. Great selection of beer, you are bound to find one you'll like but they also have other drink options. The interior is amazing, beautiful design. Food options are simple but good but it's not a substitute for dinner, so if that's what you are looking for have dinner before or after. Service was also fantastic!

Wow. What a find! Happened to be driving north of Houston and stumbled on this place. The bartender, Shawn, made some recommendations for beers to sample and my son had a pretzel and root beer. All I can say you should definitely try this place. If I lived in Conroe, I'd be a regular (on the da

Great craft beer! Reminiscent of Deutschland brews. My fiancé and I felt like we were in Austria again with their flavorful beers. Zeb, the bartender, was helpful and provided great service. We got some pizzas as well and they were surprisingly good. The ambience was relaxed and elegant. I would definitely recommend stopping in and I will be telling friends and family about this place. Can't go wrong with this one, if you're thinking about stopping by, you won't regret it!

What a great new addition to downtown Conroe! Great staff and several beers to try. Wine is also available. There are different types of seating, a cozy area, a main bar and tables as well. They had hot dogs and pretzels as well as people were having food brought in from a local restaurant. Game was on and it was a great atmosphere. Will definitely be back!

Beer is good, small place with a couple food items you can pick from. Bartenders are somewhat personable.

I first thought it was wallpaper made to look like Life magazine pages, but some pages seemed to be peeling. I don't mind reading hemorrhoid ads from the 60's while drinking my beer per se, just an observation. The furniture was mismatched like estate sale items picked up from people who wanted to think they were high class in the 1960's. You could probably still smell Lucky Stripes every time you sat on the seat cushions. There was no music playing and there were only 6 or 7 (don't you dare do that 6-7 thing with your hands while reading this!) other people inside. So, I had to listen to this pretentious group talking about opera, the child welfare system and other topics while their noses were up and pinkies were out. There was an older guy on the opposite end of the room that seemed to be loudly mocking them. He thanked me for coming as I was leaving.... was he the owner? LOL. I ordered my standard flight from a very nice lady that seemed to be new. I got 2 IPA's (Mongoose Slayer and Striker IPA) that were solid, a Black Venom stout that was ok and a Belgian Quad (Medusa) that I wasn't fond of. There are no food options, but I assume there are food trucks from time to time. The outdoor area has a few games and tables and a more normal atmosphere. If they had some music to drown out Lilith and Frasier, I'd go back and give them a try.

They need to put a sign up on the tiny road so you don't pass it up. First I will say I came here for a baby shower in one of the private rooms they offer. I cannot comment on the service because I did not need any. I also cannot comment on the food; it was provided by the party. What I can comment on is the parking - it was absolutely horrible! And that is being kind. They had a few spaces available in a field but to get to those spaces you had to drive through a 5 foot hole that was at least 4 feet deep! Thanks but no thanks I don't do off roading! At 2pm this place was packed! There was a DJ, people everywhere, small children everywhere and quite a few dogs. All in all, I am giving the stars for private room because that is what my experience consisted of.

The semi-off-roading experience driving up the long driveway did not reassure me that I had found the spot either. Limited parking spaces were even more limited due to giant potholes filled with water. I had to move my car because once I parked I couldn't get out without getting my shoes soaked. Venue itself is a huge warehouse space. Large shaded deck spans the building. Tables are picnic tables. Great airflow inside with large fans. There is a separate room attached to the large main hall with some high tops and foosball table. Live music this evening with local youth bands from School of Rock. Other touches around the room reinforced their community support (local art on the walls, silent auction for a charity). Great beer selection- B52 beers ranging from IPAs, Pils, Ale, coffee porter. I tried the Bishop Crackberry Cider- just enough sweetness and perfect for the summer night. Service was nice. Food is served outback from a food truck: They give you a buzzer so you don't have to wait around outside waiting for them to call your name. I shared a Chicken Vindaloo pizza with one other person. Portion size was perfect for 2 adults. Although it promised "tongue searing curry" it totally lacked spice. The Indian flavors were there though. Just don't promise me tongue searing- and it's ketchup level spicy. Thin crust was topped with chicken, Black Truffle Ricotta, Mozzerella, Basil- it was an unexpected exotic flavor to find at a traditional brewery.

We had a group of 10 on a Thursday evening and were the only customers on the patio for most of our visit. I want to make it clear that our waitress was excellent. She was attentive, hardworking, and did her best despite being repeatedly let down by the kitchen and management. Several orders were prepared incorrectly. A steak ordered "as rare as possible" arrived medium-well. It was remade, but still was not cooked as requested. My catfish platter was strangely lukewarm, while another guest described her catfish as rubbery. An order of fish and chips arrived without the chips. A pizza ordered with bacon, pepperoni, and onions came with grilled onions that were not requested, and the bacon smelled and tasted off. Another guest ordered loaded potatoes as her entire meal. Without warning, she was charged $8 for what was described as a double portion, even though she never requested a double order. What arrived appeared to be approximately one cup of roasted potatoes and did not look like a double serving or a complete meal. When we asked to speak with a manager, Andi told us that she had to answer to the kitchen manager and could not address the charge. She then said she was busy and walked away without offering a solution. When I attempted to explain the problems from this visit and the previous week, I was told that the owner, Teek, is usually at the newest location except on Tuesdays, is difficult for the staff to reach, and that I would need to find him myself rather than having management take my contact information and request that he call me. Restaurants make mistakes, but repeated incorrect orders, questionable food quality, missing items, unexplained charges, and dismissive management are not a single mistake. They are a pattern. Our waitress deserved much better support, and our group deserved food prepared as ordered and concerns handled professionally. After two bad experiences in a row, Pacific Yard House has permanently lost our business.
