Cajun menu and Tiger punch offered during LSU games
    Elizabeth S.

We went to BLVD Park to watch an LSU game recently with friends. The environment was fun- the bar played LSU fight songs and the atmosphere and crowd were friendly. The drinks were good and affordable. Our friends got a bunch of the apps and they varied in how much we loved them, but it was typical bar food overall. The day we went there was a Cajun food pop up which was a fun addition. There were a large number of bartenders but as the place got more crowded you needed to go to the bar to order drinks, which wasn't difficult and understandable because it is a bar. We will be back!

Met friends here for Saturday college football games. It's labeled as a sports bar -- and technically it is -- but they treat it more like a club. Beware of your tab. Their MO seems to be providing a generic receipt with just a grand total, which makes it hard to verify charges. Mine was higher than expected, so I asked for an itemized receipt -- and that's when I noticed they didn't honor the game-day $5 shot special on two of my drinks. When I brought it up, the bartender acted clueless and kept walking away. On top of that, they charge an additional beverage tax (yes, on top of regular tax) and automatically add gratuity -- but they don't make it obvious. Everyone in our group had the same experience. I won't be back. Parking: Street parking is limited. Valet is $10. Service: Average at best. Once our original server's shift ended, she closed us out and introduced us to a new one -- but we didn't see that person again for quite a while. Eventually, she came by to apologize, admitting she'd forgotten about us. Atmosphere: We sat upstairs -- nothing special. As day turned to evening, they mixed in some dance songs between games, which made it a little more enjoyable for the non-sports fans in our group

We came here to watch the Texans v. Chargers game on a Saturday afternoon/evening and the energy in there was very reminiscent of my UConn college days when we would beat every other university in college basketball :). When we arrived, we had to valet ($10- cash, $11- card). We walked in to what was the first floor, which has your typical bar layout. Our friends already had a high top table and had ordered food and drinks. I only had a Topo Chico but my friend who ordered the wings said the sesame flavored ones were too salty so don't get those. We checked the upstairs out which had an outdoor patio and was somewhat of an open space concept. There was a bar up there as well but it wasn't as crowded. While I didn't interact with the wait staff much, the women who were serving my friends seemed to be attentive and somewhat responsive despite the many patrons there. The layout of the space is what I was most impressed by. There was a pickleball court, table games and other interactive games for those who may not be invested in whatever sport was on TV. There was also fire pits outside so plenty of people stayed out on the outdoor deck downstairs and upstairs. I'll certainly be back and look forward to exploring the Heights more this spring. I will warn you that this venue is lacking in diversity as far as staff and patrons, however, I never felt uncomfortable, which is rare for the so-called "melting pot" that Houston claims to be.

Came here on a Friday night, just missing happy hour (darn). Loved how we were greeted with a "free pickleball & volleyball" sign and corn hole boards on the front lawn. First come, first serve. Only downside is there isn't a barrier to stop flying balls from going into the parking lot. (Didn't drive here, but I saw the valet and it's a fairly small lot.) Service was fairly fast. Food was pretty good. Pretzel sticks were good for an appetizer. I preferred the queso and didn't care much for the cinnamon butter. Avocado cheeseburger was huge! They cook it the way you want them to. It didn't say on the menu that it comes with fries, but it did. So don't make the mistake of ordering extra fries. Was disappointed that they don't have draft beer. Ended up just getting bottled beer. For a sports bar, kind've a disappointment on that part. The bartender said it gets pretty busy on game days. I really liked how spacious the place is - both inside and outside. I can't comment on how busy it gets bc we left before the late night crowd started coming. Truly would rate this place 3.5 stars, but rounding it up to 4 stars. May or may not return when the weather is nice.

I tried out BLVD with another Yelp friend the other night and it's quite the place. Nice and spacious, with an upstairs and downstairs. Great decor. Pickleball and volleyball are ALWAYS FREE! Nice. You don't find this at many places. There isn't really a time limit. Everyone just plays fairly and is courteous of the folks playing after them. Winner plays next team, etc. The guys will love the beautiful and scantily clad all female wait staff. The male employees seemed to all be barbacks. Except for one of the managers. Darla, the upstairs manager is beautiful and super friendly & helpful. She answered all our questions and told us BLVD Park is busiest on Saturdays during college football games. It's an A&M and UT bar, leaning a little more towards A&M. They opened just 3 months ago. I had a Topo Chico ( my usual) and their southwest egg rolls + a side of fries. The egg rolls were hot and came out with great timing. I tried a bite of their pretzel. It was soft with an outer pretzel crunch and the cheese sauce was tasty. All in all the food was good for bar food, ok if compared to restaurant food. Grayson was another manager on-hand who answered our zillion questions. He gave us a warm newbie welcome and helped us out a lot. The upstairs balcony area was really nice with great views of the Pickleball court.

Went here for drinks and enjoyed the decorations for Halloween. Very roomy and had activities to do. We played some corn hole but I also saw some variation of beer pong and pickle ball! There's also a second floor with a balcony where you can continue to watch games at. Drinks and service came pretty quick and everyone was friendly. We'll definitely be back for some food. I didn't realize this was a new place, but can definitely see this getting packed on a weekend.

You're able to bring in your own food as well, but we came here for Tuesday Steak night from Modestos Grill. $30 for a ribeye + choice of potato or salad. The salad was actually quite a large portion and potato was baked nicely and came with all the fix'ns. Steak was seasoned really well and cooked to my preference of medium. Quality of the steak isn't the best, but not bad. Drinks at Kirby Ice House was pretty pricy. Lots of outdoor seating and large screens. Pet friendly! So bring your dogs/furbabies! Upon visiting here, it's about the same size as Memorial IMO but still has the same touch and vibes that makes the Memorial location pretty dope. Obviously you're here for drinks, sports, or a combination of the two. There's plenty of parking here and plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. They also live up to the whole "longest bar in Texas" where there is a 100+ foot bar area that stretches. There's plenty of tvs inside and outside so you can find any type of sports you're looking for as you guzzle down your beverages. Speaking of beverages, there's roughly 30+ beers on tap and just about every kind of spirit you can think of. Self-serve water coolers are available when you need to hydrate yourself if you've had one too many drinks. There's also a food truck here for eats with rotations (check the website for the schedule). It's pet friendly as well and they have drink specials every day. Bartenders are pretty attentive; I've never had issues getting a drink here, even when it's gotten slammed for NFL sunday or college football. Glad this is in my neck of the woods for sports watching and drinking.

Relatively easy to get to off of the highway, it has a nice little spot off of the main road. They have two parking lots which make it nice as long as it's not too busy, and a little bit of street parking. I imagine during peak business hours it can get packed and parking can be a hunger game situation. Walking in. They seem to have a lot of space. They have two different outdoor areas, and two different indoor areas. I only went into the main one during our event. It happened to be a Sunday so there was football on every TV out there,. They also had a volleyball game going on between Nebraska and A&M. The indoor area is on the smaller side, but it's nice and comfortable provided they're still space. They've invested most of their space and outdoor areas. It also helps that they have heaters throughout, which make it nice regardless of what time of year you're out here. Food wise, I didn't order anything. But they did have catering for the event and I assume that came through the bar. It was really good. I stuck to some domestic beers on the menu for this event, so I can't speak to their cocktails. However, having walked around I saw signs for different things that they have throughout the month. They do have steak nights, they have geeks who drink trivia, they have other events throughout the month that you should check out. Overall a nice place, I can't speak to their drinks, but looks like it'd be a cool place to go, watch a game, or host a thing outdoors, or just catch up with people. I would definitely come back if I'm in this area.

PARENTS BE AWARE: if you bring your family here, be prepared for zero grace, poor communication,…read moreand a confrontational approach to enforcing rules. There is little patience shown toward families, and situations can escalate unnecessarily. We've been regular customers here since this place opened and never had an issue until this visit. We're a family with two young kids and don't consider ourselves difficult customers. Our son briefly had a small ball. The person who I later learned is, or believe to be, the owner told us that balls weren't allowed. We immediately apologized, smiled, and put it away. No argument, no resistance, and the ball was never used again. Later, that same person came back and spoke to my wife in an aggressive, confrontational, and disrespectful way. The very first thing he said to her was, "I told you that balls were not allowed," despite the fact that our child was no longer using a ball. He clearly misunderstood the situation -- other children nearby (not with us) were playing with balls -- yet chose to lead with an accusation rather than calmly clarifying. Once he realized those children were not ours, he never apologized for the mistake. He simply walked away and went on to confront the other family instead. When I tried to explain this and asked that he speak respectfully to her, he became defensive, dismissed me outright, told us we could leave, and refused to hear anything further. The situation escalated into a verbal confrontation involving profanity on both sides. I'll own my part in that -- but the escalation was completely unnecessary and avoidable. What made this worse is that I later confirmed this person was the owner. That's deeply disappointing. Regardless of rules, there is no excuse for engaging with customers in a hostile, dismissive, or aggressive manner. This guy is arrogant, and rude. We won't be returning. If balls are not allowed, there should be clear signage. There was none. A simple sign would prevent situations like this entirely. I'm leaving this review so others can make an informed decision. This is not about one mistake -- it's about how it was handled.

The biggest red flag? Patron vehicles being towed under circumstances that appear predatory and poorly communicated. Multiple customers--including myself--were blindsided by towing while actively patronizing the business. There was little to no clear signage, no warning, and zero accountability from staff. Whether or not it technically skirts the law, it feels deceptive and hostile to customers. Inside, things don't improve. Service is painfully slow and indifferent, as if the staff would rather you weren't there at all. Orders are forgotten, drinks sit empty, and requests are met with eye rolls instead of help. You get the strong sense that customer service simply isn't a priority. Then there's the cleanliness--or lack of it. Sticky tables, dirty floors, and restrooms that look like they've been neglected for far too long. It's hard to enjoy food or drinks when you're questioning how often anything gets cleaned. Between the towing fiasco, the poor service, and the grimy environment, Cedar Creek Bar & Grill feels less like a neighborhood hangout and more like a trap for unsuspecting patrons. Houston has too many great bars and restaurants to waste your time--or risk your car--on this one. Not recommended.
