Came by this place for a birthday. The drinks are average priced for the heights. The food was surprisingly decent for a bar focused environment. I got the classic burger nothing overwhelming good but it was a solid burger crispy fresh veggies patty was juicy and nice flavor exalt what you would expect from a burger. The only thing is the servers wasn't very knowledgeable about the foods coming out they didn't know what food they had to give out to people. They got confused on what wing flavors they had and when they brought them out they didn't know who's food was who's. But all in all it's a great environment to hang out with friends and they a rooftop patio which was a plus. read more

My go to heights bar will no longer be getting my service. The bouncers did not allow three of my friends into the bar because they were wearing JERSEYS...TO A SPORTS BAR. They also turned one of them away because he was wearing shorts. To a sports bar. I understand having a dress code, however, we spotted several people in jerseys and shorts after walking inside the bar. At least be consistent in who you allow in and who you turn away. We went to BLVD Park to watch an LSU game recently with friends. The environment was fun- the bar played LSU fight songs and the atmosphere and crowd were friendly. The drinks were good and affordable. Our friends got a bunch of the apps and they varied in how much we loved them, but it was typical bar food overall. The day we went there was a Cajun food pop up which was a fun addition. There were a large number of bartenders but as the place got more crowded you needed to go to the bar to order drinks, which wasn't difficult and understandable because it is a bar. Met friends here for Saturday college football games. It's labeled as a sports bar -- and technically it is -- but they treat it more like a club. Beware of your tab. Their MO seems to be providing a generic receipt with just a grand total, which makes it hard to verify charges. Mine was higher than expected, so I asked for an itemized receipt -- and that's when I noticed they didn't honor the game-day $5 shot special on two of my drinks. When I brought it up, the bartender acted clueless and kept walking away. On top of that, they charge an additional beverage tax (yes, on top of regular tax) and automatically add gratuity -- but they don't make it obvious. Everyone in our group had the same experience. I won't be back. Parking: Street parking is limited. Valet is $10. Service: Average at best. Once our original server's shift ended, she closed us out and introduced us to a new one -- but we didn't see that person again for quite a while. Eventually, she came by to apologize, admitting she'd forgotten about us. Atmosphere: We sat upstairs -- nothing special. We came here to watch the Texans v. Chargers game on a Saturday afternoon/evening and the energy in there was very reminiscent of my UConn college days when we would beat every other university in college basketball :). When we arrived, we had to valet ($10- cash, $11- card). We walked in to what was the first floor, which has your typical bar layout. Our friends already had a high top table and had ordered food and drinks. I only had a Topo Chico but my friend who ordered the wings said the sesame flavored ones were too salty so don't get those. We checked the upstairs out which had an outdoor patio and was somewhat of an open space concept. There was a bar up there as well but it wasn't as crowded. While I didn't interact with the wait staff much, the women who were serving my friends seemed to be attentive and somewhat responsive despite the many patrons there. The layout of the space is what I was most impressed by. There was a pickleball court, table games and other interactive games for those who may not be invested in whatever sport was on TV. There was also fire pits outside so plenty of people stayed out on the outdoor deck downstairs and upstairs. I'll certainly be back and look forward to exploring the Heights more this spring. I will warn you that this venue is lacking in diversity as far as staff and patrons, however, I never felt uncomfortable, which is rare for the so-called "melting pot" that Houston claims to be. read more

Came here on a Friday night, just missing happy hour (darn). Loved how we were greeted with a "free pickleball & volleyball" sign and corn hole boards on the front lawn. First come, first serve. Only downside is there isn't a barrier to stop flying balls from going into the parking lot. (Didn't drive here, but I saw the valet and it's a fairly small lot.) Service was fairly fast. Food was pretty good. Pretzel sticks were good for an appetizer. I preferred the queso and didn't care much for the cinnamon butter. Avocado cheeseburger was huge! They cook it the way you want them to. It didn't say on the menu that it comes with fries, but it did. So don't make the mistake of ordering extra fries. Was disappointed that they don't have draft beer. Ended up just getting bottled beer. For a sports bar, kind've a disappointment on that part. The bartender said it gets pretty busy on game days. I really liked how spacious the place is - both inside and outside. I can't comment on how busy it gets bc we left before the late night crowd started coming. Terrible experience. After waiting in line to get to the bar, a short bouncer with glasses suddenly pushed my girlfriend backward without any warning or explanation. Completely unprofessional and unnecessary. To make matters worse, when we tried to report the incident, the officers on site didn't bother to take a report or properly address our concerns. I tried out BLVD with another Yelp friend the other night and it's quite the place. Nice and spacious, with an upstairs and downstairs. Great decor. Pickleball and volleyball are ALWAYS FREE! Nice.You don't find this at many places. There isn't really a time limit. Everyone just plays fairly and is courteous of the folks playing after them. Winner plays next team, etc. The guys will love the beautiful and scantily clad all female wait staff. The male employees seemed to all be barbacks. Except for one of the managers. Darla, the upstairs manager is beautiful and super friendly & helpful. She answered all our questions and told us BLVD Park is busiest on Saturdays during college football games. It's an A&M and UT bar, leaning a little more towards A&M. They opened just 3 months ago. I had a Topo Chico ( my usual) and their southwest egg rolls + a side of fries. The egg rolls were hot and came out with great timing. I tried a bite of their pretzel. It was soft with an outer pretzel crunch and the cheese sauce was tasty. All in all the food was good for bar food, ok if compared to restaurant food. Grayson was another manager on-hand who answered our zillion questions. He gave us a warm newbie welcome and helped us out a lot. The upstairs balcony area was really nice with great views of the Pickleball court. read more

Went here for drinks and enjoyed the decorations for Halloween. Very roomy and had activities to do. We played some corn hole but I also saw some variation of beer pong and pickle ball! There's also a second floor with a balcony where you can continue to watch games at. Drinks and service came pretty quick and everyone was friendly. We'll definitely be back for some food. I was there recently for a rodeo related event. After waiting 40 minutes for a chicken quesadilla that never arrived, I requested a refund. The bartender who took my order, assured me he issued the refund. Well the pending charge cleared and was in fact not refunded. The phone numbers listed are both Out of Service. There's no other point of contact, which is unfortunate because I already had doubts about this establishment upon arrival. I HIGHLY DON'T RECOMMEND visiting. We visited Blvd Park on a Monday at 5:30 pm and we had the entire place to ourselves until about 7:45 pm. It was a small work happy hour, so around 9 of us went. I don't think they have even had their official grand opening yet. We ordered some food to share, and it was all good. The chili con queso was pretty good. The queso was mixed with tomato, onions, cilantro and came with a side of salsa. The next thing we tried was the amazing pretzel sticks. They were done so well and came with a side of the queso and then a super sweet cinnamon butter. The southwest eggrolls were also very good, these came with a serrano pepper ranch. I was expecting the ranch to be spicy, but it wasn't at all. The star of the show was the Cheese Fries. They were fried to perfection and super crispy. All the toppings on these were great, the pickled onions stood out the most. I don't drink alcohol, so I don't have any reviews on the drinks. My coworkers said the hibiscus paloma was very good. After we ate, we all went outside and a few of us played pickleball. There is plenty of seating outside as well. They had some cool outdoor lighting too. Around 7:45 pm more people started to show up and got in line to play the free pickleball. The only negative thing was the valet. It seems like you can only valet park, but the lot is self-park too. So, some of us ended up paying for valet not knowing that you could also park for free in the same lot. That was a bummer. read more

My review is about the CRAWFISH!! The regular food is great!! The Crawfish Guy was boiling individual bags/orders!! Huge line. He said he couldn't take individual orders and what's crazier, he only brought 100 lbs for St Paddy's day!!! A 10 lb order for 2 people to split is a 1/10 of what he bought. I had two separate tabs at this bar. One tab was charged $28~ for a bucket during happy hour, while the other tab was charged $200 for three buckets, even though it was also happy hour. To make matters worse, an automatic tip was applied to the tab despite only being one person (not a large group). After discussing with management, they reduced the price, but they continued to charge an automatic gratuity. The food is pretty good... for bar food but the best part about this place is the bartenders. They are all so nice and so friendly. If you go... you have to ask for Regan. Visited this bar on the Saturday before Christmas with a friend to watch the UT game. We shared a $150 tab on my credit card. Because we left the tab open, they kept my credit card and ID. After 4 hours, we closed out and I never got my ID with my tab. I didn't realize I didn't get my ID back (because most bars don't keep IDs) until Tuesday (I hadn't gone anywhere else since BLVD). I tried calling the bar but they were closed for the holiday. I then tried calling all day Thursday (the next day they were open) and got nothing but a busy tone. I even tried messaging the bar through Facebook messenger with no reply. Friday, I tried calling again, and again got a busy tone. After getting back into town Friday afternoon, I drove up to the bar to inquire about my ID in person. I spoke to a bartender who said they ALWAYS give back IDs so I must have dropped it or lost it even though she admitted Saturday was busy and they couldn't recall details on that day. She also stated that they always rubber band cards with IDs as I watched her flip through the box of IDs and watched her take out and flip cards over that weren't rubber banded together. I explained that I never saw it on the closed tab and my credit card made it back into my wallet but my ID is no where to be found. She then said well if it took me 4 days to figure out it was missing, how do I remember it not being with my tab. I had to explain that when I realized my ID was missing, that I had to track my whereabouts and that was the last place it was used and I always immediately put my cards back in my wallet. There was no apology for the inconvenience and only blaming my part. I have had an ID for over 20 years and have never lost one. I even tried explaining who my bartender was and where I sat and I was told no one by that description works there. Completely unprofessional and rude. I will not be going back strictly due to this and it's apparently my fault for forgetting to verify my ID was with my credit card after being there for 4 hours. read more
