As a Wisconsinite, I had to put the cheese curds to the best. For non-Wisconsin curds, they were solid. The ranch was amazing too. I also tried the three cheese cavatappi pasta bake. It was so cheesy and gooey. I'd highly recommend it if you're looking for non-traditional bar food. My friend had the chicken tenders and said they were good. We came to watch the Utah Mammoth @ Nashville Predators game. While the staff tried their best to get it onto the TV for us, it unfortunately didn't work. However, the staff were so accommodating with letting us stick around to watch it on our ESPN app.

The team helped us plan and advised on every detail, from setup to timing, and the prices were incredibly reasonable for the value. The food options were wonderful (and absolutely delicious!), and they even provided a separate area for our team to store belongings and gather between activities. It still felt connected to the main space thanks to the open layout and windows, which was perfect. The venue itself is huge and full of energy--tons of fun arcade games, cornhole, a soccer field, and plenty of room for everyone to spread out and enjoy. The staff was by far the best part--so friendly and accommodating, and they made some fantastic drinks (including mocktails that looked great and let me stay sharp during a work event!). The bartender was again attentive and it was a good night. Looking back, I guess both my first and last stops in Houston were here. The second time that I came here was also with my friend and we sat at a table to order food. The waitress was great and kept checking on us. I ordered the fish and chips. The fish was crispy and tasty. This is the only part that I had an issue with from the restaurant. At some point during my second visit, a woman came into the restaurant with her pants covered in poop. She left and then came back another time and walked among the tables. The bartender eventually escorted her out. Here is why I am still giving this place 4 stars after this. The service and food was still good even and I had two uneventful visits. This visit, I just happened to sit at a table closest to the door. If you want to make sure you don't have an experience like this, you can sit at the bar, or upstairs or further away from the front door. They also live up to the whole "longest bar in Texas" where there is a 100+ foot bar area that stretches. There's plenty of tvs inside and outside so you can find any type of sports you're looking for as you guzzle down your beverages. Speaking of beverages, there's roughly 30+ beers on tap and just about every kind of spirit you can think of. Self-serve water coolers are available when you need to hydrate yourself if you've had one too many drinks. There's also a food truck here for eats with rotations (check the website for the schedule). It's pet friendly as well and they have drink specials every day. Bartenders are pretty attentive; I've never had issues getting a drink here, even when it's gotten slammed for NFL sunday or college football. Glad this is in my neck of the woods for sports watching and drinking.

I paired it with a salad instead of the vegetables it came with and it was so satisfying. I was surprised at how much I liked it. My niece liked her burger as well. After getting tired of waiting so long I told my husband to come in to see how long he's have to wait. As soon as he sat down beside me, a female bartender sauntered over. I would've appreciated quicker service or at least acknowledgment. My husband also noticed how rude she was questioning if the drink he ordered for me was for him or I. ( why doesn't that matter?) The name is simply "Houston" spelled backwards. The decor is quirky, eclectic and goes hard on the taxidermy. There are all kinds of animals from land-based to sea creations in all kinds of positions, along with very unique art and ambiance to explore. The multi-room layout makes the place a fun spot to explore and check out the different levels. The darkly lit ambiance makes it a bit hard for photographs, but it is no less a dizzying and fascinating space. My favorite part of the entire place is on third floor, where there is a sound dome that doubles as a visualizer, a communal space, and a trippy acoustics wonderland where music can be played via bluetooth and tourists and locals would enjoy it. The sound system is excellent and a perfect place to chill out. There's more than just sensory overload, the drinks also deserve a bit of mention. The jalapeño palomas and hibiscus mules are fun, despite feeling a tinge overpriced. Bartenders are nice people, and service as a whole is a thumbs up. The parking situation will be challenging, since this is Downtown proper. Street parking is available just down the block, and if one can avoid the crowded weekends, the weeknights are an ideal time to visit. It's hard not to be impressed with the distinctiveness of the place, which is truly one of the city's great local favorites.
