Receipt the night of

(With proof) It is really unfortunate to be writing this review but it has to be said so that I can warn every customer that plans on visiting. The BARTENDERS ARE FRAUDULENT SCAMMERS and seem to be broke as well. On November 24th, I visited Fuegos with a friend, we were on Washington street and had a couple drinks in us already. I had been keeping the tab on my card for my friend and I and because so I was taking pictures of my receipts so we could split the bill later on. As you can see in the first image my bill came out to $64.12, I added a $2 tip so my total over all was $66.12. In the second image I even got an email confirming that my total was $64 at fuegos which I approved. The next day I realized I no longer had my card with me and truthfully I thought it was somewhere at my friend's house since I stayed the night there. The next day I checked my bank and I realized that my $64 was up charged $79$$$$$ HELLO? So I called my bank and explained to them the situation, fortunately I was able to get my money back for that but I couldn't believe a bartender would actually add her own tip onto MY bill? Are these the employees you hired FUEGOS? I wish I could stop here but it doesn't. I still believed that my card was somewhere located at my friend's house, I hadn't had any other unexplainable charges so I didn't think anyone stole it which is why I never ordered a new card. Will stupid me!!!! Because I was ONCE AGAIN charged $65 on Dec 9th at FUEGOS. With proof on December 9th I was working both my jobs, and I live in Katy with no vehicle there was absolutely no way I could have made that charge myself. So now I know where my card is at! In Fuegos wallet. I beg for everyone to not make the same mistake I did and leave without your card, or pay in cash. Maybe the restaurant should accept Apple Pay so that this type of fraudulent behavior doesn't become consistent. I've tried reaching out and I've been left with no response so I can see how much this owner values its customers and its service. Every one of these employees should be double checked through management because how as a human being do you ever feel comfortable swiping a customers cards for your own sakes? You're working for a reason, now hustle it out like a big girl. Karma's a b! And I know it'll come back ten times harder on them.

OU/TX football game!

Went to Fuego's to watch the OU/TX football game. I really like the set up of Fuego's, but wish some things were better. Fuego's is located in the Washington Corridor so there's a lot in the area, different places to eat and bars and stuff. The set up is pretty nice. There's couches and a tv to the left and an outside bar and tables to the right before you walk in so there's plenty of space to go watch sports with a group of friends. We came to watch the second half of the game and just ordered dos XX, Vodka Sour and a few ciders. Customer service is okay, it's usually not too hard getting the attention of bar tenders or staff. It's getting cooler so I suggest getting here early to watch your game of choice. Inside seats fill up a bit quicker than the outside area so be mindful. I'll be back to Fuego's!

I come here when I want to have a drink and just enjoy some sports and A relaxing atmosphere The service is great food is awesome the staff is very friendly and it's a neighborhood bar in a busy area so it's always great to have somewhere away from the nonsense if you want to enjoy a good drink and overall just a good relaxing time after work or after a rough day this is the place to be I recommended 100% I myself live in Katy and make the drive out here .. ask for Cissy or Sheryl both bartenders will make you feel welcome and like family

Amazing lay back place and awesome atmosphere! Great customer service and not at all pricey drinks. Always ask your friendly bar staff for food/drinks specials! Dog friendly, pool table, fire place, private room.etc.

I came here after a long day of work. It was around 7 p.m. and I was just around the area with a friend. Thursday nights are steak night for $16, it came with mashed potatoes with onions and bacon mixed into it and a salad. My friend got a Philly cheese steak with salt french fries. The steak was very dry even though I requested to get this cooked medium. the mashed potatoes were extremely intense with onions. I think the salad was my favorite part. Let us was extremely fresh along with the other veggies and it also had bacon! The Philly cheese steak was not too bad. Unfortunately, was a little on the salty side. french fries tasted like they've been made and have been sitting out, so lukewarm. Flavor was not bad if you add ranch. I got a glass of wine for about $5 which of course you can't go wrong. The bartender did tell me that a server will be assisting us but after 5 or so minutes, I had to order from the bar from being so hungry. I enjoyed my service with the bartenders. They were very sweet, provided recommendations, let me know about the specials, and helped me have a good time! In terms of location, why not? If there's heavy traffic and you are around the area, it's a great place to go. The place is clean, plenty of TVs, atmosphere is nice and everyone is actually very friendly. I think I spoke with two or three different people when I was there and again, so friendly! Drink prices were very reasonable and games were on along with other things that we're very entertaining. check in on Yelp, they are having a customer appreciation week or so. You will be getting 15% off if you are lucky!

Plenty of parking!

Soooooooo...if I could write a review about the food, this place would get 5 VERY red stars. The food was amazing!! Everything from the sweet and spicy fries to the green chili hummus to the maple burger. Also, the beer was cold and the selection as great -- even had a Breckenridge option that made me feel at home. We had an odd experience with the drinks and one came out REALLY awful and the bartender and the server said it was right and then we told them again that it was horrible. Then, finally, they decided the drink was not right and that the bartender started to pour vodka in a tequila drink and stopped mid pour to put the tequila in....what?! Just dump it and remake the bloody thing. Last complaint, our server, Faith I think, was NOT good. She had excuse after excuse after excuse about how busy she was and our food took a million years for her to deliver from the kitchen. We asked her 4 times to get us more pits, FOUR TIMES. I am not pleased at all by her ability to serve. There were not many people there and she should've given our party better attention, there were a lot of us. The manager, or kitchen manager, Vince (i think) was VERY pleasant. He apologized when we asked about getting some service and our food orders figured out and such. I approve of him and his actions. He did what he could to get our party figured out and set on track. Lastly, the decor was pretty neat. I think they could invest in a few more stools, but the bottle light fixtures to the long log community table was really neat. I may come back here as long as I have time to wait or i hear better service has been figured out.

Our server was great, I can't remember his name, but he joked around with us the whole time and made the experience a lot more fun. Good service can really make a meal, and he definitely did. I asked him for his favorite menu item, and he recommended the Houston Cowboy Burger. It had really good flavor, and I enjoyed it overall. It was definitely on the spicy side (which makes sense with the jalapeños), but if you like a little heat, I'd recommend it. It wasn't the best burger I've ever had, but it was solid and I'd order it again. My only real complaint was that it was pretty loud inside. There was a game on, so there was a lot of cheering and noise, which made it feel a little overstimulating. That said, it's more of a sports bar atmosphere, so I don't really fault them for it, we just weren't there to watch the game. Overall, we had a good time, enjoyed the food and service, and I'd definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area.

Lately I've been frequenting this spot for lunch and happy hour when in the area. There's a lot to…read morelike about this location. To start, there is a parking lot in the back, which makes it very convenient. The interior is laid out well, with the bar area to the right of the entry and dining to the left. The bar area has a few TVs, which is fantastic when trying to catch a game. Food & Drink - 3.5* There are daily specials, happy hour, lunch, and regular menus. I highly recommend the crab Rangoon cheesy bread for starters, and if you're not all that hungry, it can be made into a full meal. The happy hour menu is a little limiting, but there's enough to like. The pasta is fantastic and comes in a nice small cup portion. They offer a personal 6" cheese pizza that is quite good. Other options are Buffalo cauliflower, meatballs, teenie weenie mcshweenies (mini corn dogs), and a Caesar salad. At the time of this review, these were $5 each and smaller since it's happy hour. The HH drink options are wine by the glass, 22 oz St. Arnold Lawnmowers, an Aperol Spritz, and basically a margarita called the Quack-a-Lack. I don't recommend the margarita. It's not good--too much lime juice, not enough Cointreau, and what tasted like barely any tequila. For lunch, they have a pick two. Options are the Chicken, Italian Chopped, or Fig & Pig sandwiches, but the pizza offering is very odd and out of place. It's their hot honey and pepperoni, which is great, but it's only six inches. More on this later. For the other pick, options are a Caesar salad, garden salad, potato chips, and zuppa del giorno (soup of the day). I recommend the Caesar or the soup. The Montrose and Hot Honey / Pepperoni pizzas are also great options. They recently revamped their menu, and it's unfortunate to see certain options cut. They used to have a buffalo chicken pizza that I found quite good; it is no longer there. I won't go through everything that was cut, but if you've visited regularly, there is a good chance something you ordered is no longer an option. Overall, I find all of the food above average, but nothing is gonna have you thinking, "This is amazing." It is a great, convenient spot for the area that delivers a low-key vibe. Service - 4* The service has always been pretty good. They check in frequently, ask if you want to put anything else in, and know enough about the menu to make good recommendations. The one thing that strikes me a little off is that they seem quite transactional, which I get to an extent--they see dozens of folks a day. However, when someone frequents a place over a short period, that person typically gets recognized and there's a little more small talk with staff. Again, that's just my experience working in the industry; you do want to build a following and customer base. I did not notice that aside from one lady who must come here every day and orders a glass of wine at happy hour, since she was asked, "The usual?" If there were one word to describe the staff I interacted with, it would be "aloof." Pricing / Cost - 3.5* Always subjective, but here's where things just don't make sense, particularly with the lunch menu. They offer a pick two for $18. The regular price for a full-size hot honey and pepperoni pizza is $18, the Fig & Pig sandwich is $17, the chicken sandwich is $17, and the Italian Chopped is $16. So one would think, okay, I'm getting a small salad or soup as the discount. That would align if the pizza were bigger, but on the lunch menu it's a six-inch pizza. May I point out that during happy hour, the six-inch cheese pizza is $5? So somehow, some honey and pepperonis are worth a whole lot more? The regular menu pricing is about in line with what one would expect for apps, entrees, and drinks. I'll close this bit out by stating I have worked in this industry, and I understand that balancing thin margins while getting people in and building recurring customers is harder than ever, especially with rising costs across the board. Landlords want more, ingredients cost more, and retaining reliable labor that can show up and show out to help build the business is a challenge. All that said, they probably need to reevaluate a few things, and that seems to be the case since they just revamped the menu. It would appear they are still figuring it out a little bit. My recommendation: the pizza option on the lunch menu is a poor value. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone; just order a full pizza. Overall - 3.5* There's a lot to like about this spot, while there are areas that need some work. I love the vibe, the convenience of getting in and out, and some of the lunch options. I would recommend it in the evening to grab a pizza or full-size pasta, but I'd likely say skip the happy hour and go elsewhere if you're mainly looking to get some drinks. If you want a small taste of a few great items from the regular menu before making a full deep dive, it's worth a stop.

They also have arcade games including Skee Ball and Pop-A-Shot. The menu had beer, wine, and cider, but they do have a full bar. I didn't see any specialty cocktails on the menu so I just asked the bartender, Marc to make me a gin based cocktail. Marc came up with his version of a Corpse Reviver.
