The best catering and the best place to have a party good food and good music. This is Jennifer Montgomery and I prove this message.

My name is Miss Jennifer and this place is amazing. I recommend anybody and everybody to partake up on this phenomenal place. The manager is so professional. I can't wait to have my birthday party there in August.!!!

I cannot believe I've been driving past this place for yearssss and didn't know about it until now. I went on a Saturday night and there was quite a crowd from Dreamcon. The service was personable and efficient. The prices were reasonable. My shrimp pasta was so delicious, I've been thinking about it since then so I'll definitely be back.

Back again to celebrate my friends birthday Sunday-Funday with friends Brunch until 5p "Happy hour" FOODS & DRINK'S until 8pm Friendly service, live music, live DJ, Moca is a grown vibe 35 and older vibe. But Sundays brunch I did witness some kids having brunch with their mom. (Upon their exiting) Afterwards the DJ did play adult music, when it was only adults presents. I ordered a pineapple and volkA

Had a wonderful experience. Went for the live music; however, it ended before we got there so if you want to go for live music on Fridays it's from 6pm - 9pm. The DJs were good they set the vibes. The service was nice. Highly suggest making reservations. I enjoyed the food good especially for late night dinning. There is good seating throughout and a dance floor, great patio area in the back. Drinks were also really good!

Came here to support Spud Howard, Houston local artist, and his event. Moca HTX has a cool atmosphere. The consideration for both lighting and decor includes modern and antique elements (think Black Hollywood meets Gatsby), perfect for unwinding with friends or a simple date night suggestion. I believe there is a dress code, which you could possibly find on their website. Great energy from the live band and DJ all night. My bartender was attentive and shared their Happy Hour selections. I ordered the wings and sides... Quality and flavor, 7/10. He curated some really good cocktails though. That Old Fashioned was *chef's kiss* STRONG but smooth at the same time, probably one of the best I've had here in Houston. Parking isn't an issue. The Post Office lot next door, as well as street parking near the courts are accessible. Also security was present upon entering and leaving out. Will return.

I went to Mocha HTX for Sound Orientation, and it was such a vibe! The DJs were amazing, and I had a fantastic time vibing out to the music. Once a table cleared up, I got seated inside with my cousin. The bartender whipped up a delicious ginger beer-based mocktail for me, and I have to say, it was superb--so refreshing! I tried the Yakamein, and it was absolutely delicious; I cleared the plate! It reminded me of a Nigerian dish called pepper soup but with not much pepper-- very flavorful broth with a good spice kick. The service was pretty good too, considering it was a busy Friday night. Our waitress was attentive, and I definitely plan to return to try more items from their menu!

We chose Moca to keep our homecoming celebration going and it did not disappoint. Shout out to my fav bartender, Eric for providing us great service. They were able to accommodate our larger party. I would like to go back when they are having live music and to explore their dinner menu.

I've been wanting to come here since I found out they have live music. The vibe always seemed nice on social media, so I was eager. Super excited when hubby surprised me with a date night here. Thursdays they have live music, and this night one of my performers was singing here- so DOUBLE stoked. There was a short wait, but with the live music it was an easy distraction. The hostesses were quite accommodating and our waitress as well. They made sure we were comfortable and had sufficient space. Honestly, once in the main room there's not a bad spot. As far as the food, I was a little bummed they were out of seafood but I also had a taste for wings, which they had - so not bad. We both ordered wings- Cajun and lemon pepper and the order comes with fries + drinks (strawberry lemon drop and red wine). Needless to say, eeeverything was sooo good! I got pretty full after the second wing and some fries, but I kept wanting to eat MORE. The drinks were refreshing and on point. We will definitely be back as the vibes, the music and atmosphere were all on point. The DJ (DJ Free) played a good mix and all the favorites and kept us plenty entertained. He even stepped out on the dance floor and bust some moves lol.

Let's call this 1.5. Because it took an hour and a half to get this itty bitty French toast.

I really want to give Mocha the benefit of the doubt and I really want to say something nice but all I have is their service is continuously slow and over priced. They were promoting the he!! Out of a women's networking brunch which is a cool concept until you're told they only have five brunch items wth. Of the five items I ordered French torch and it took one and a half hours to come out. The music is toooooo loud for a restaurant. This has been my experience consistently. I oh and this was $16

Nahhhhhh this wasn't it!!! It started off good, however the waiter got our drinks wrong then still charged for them. The Moca something drink was disgusting. Don't order that. It was so LOUD in there that you couldn't have a conversation with the people next to you. $60+ for nothing at all. And the gratuity and taxes are ridiculous. This is definitely a first and last for me.

It was date night for us and I wanted to hear some live music so we decided to go to Moca. When we first arrived we spent a good amount of time looking for parking because we assumed we couldnt park on almeda. So we walked in with a quick check by security. He mentioned we could park on almeda or at the post office so we moved the car. It wasn't crowded..it was the perfect amount of people actually. We were sat right away and water brought to us in second of seating. Then our waiter disappeared for 15 minutes. He came back just in time to get happy hour specials. We had wings, crawfish crawfish bread, and eggs with shrimp on them. The food was pretty good. The service mediocre. The side car wasn't really a side car even after being made twice. The live music was awesome. She could sang!!! So remember when I said security told us we could park in front? After a very enjoyable night, we went outside and our car was towed. So be careful where you park. It ruined what could have been an amazing night.

It looked dark, clubbish, and fun (exactly what I was looking for) and I couldn't wait to come here. After a 25 minute Uber ride we were downtown and walking to our destination. At first we could not find it but thankfully a nice gentlemen showed us where it was. Upon walking in, darkness with these bright lights paved our way. We sat down at the bar, but realized dancing did not start until 10pm. The bartender came over and said to us "we have a speakasy behind door #3" we were like WHAT! Let's go. So, we walked down the dark hallway and pushed open door #3 (hence the name) to find this super cool speakeasy bar. Dim lights, really modern decor, comfy suede chairs and best of all, some really great cocktails. If you are ever in Downtown Houston, I highly recommend you coming here. I promise you will have the best time. We did not stay for dancing.

Friday after work during happy hour and the prices could not be beat, especially with their lobster bites (was sitting at about $30, and we got them half off!) Drinks were fantastic! I selected the "Golden Cadillac" that comes with a miniature bottle of Grand Marnier inside of it. Very good. My company decided on an array of appetizers for his "main course", while I went with their Fried Salmon (served with Mac and cheese, and collard greens). Omg! So tasty! The pepper was prevalent throughout, but it did not over power the flavor! I make collard greens at home (and learned from one of the best), and even I found theirs to be pretty good! My company selected fried ribs, along with the lobster bites, and crawfish queso dip, and their wings! I tasted what he got, and we both agreed that the wings were "off the chart" delicious with a beautiful straight off the grill smoky flavor! So good that he got another order to go! Lol. What made our experience there amazing was our server Ray (Rajean = think "the 90's TV Show "Living Single"..."smooches"!)...she was the best!! From her hello, to walking us through the menu (as first-timers), her recommendations, her energy, her smile, and her being very relatable. Loved her! My only gripe was the bathrooms, the ladies room needed attention (and could use a spruce all around). It doesn't help that it is a bit small, but yeah, they need to focus some efforts on ensuring it's upkeep. As for seating and parking, there is a bar area and limited seating toward the front of the restaurant, but it does extend to back of the house with additional seating. There is also patio seating as well. Because this place seems popular, it is best to reserve ahead to ensure your seating. Parking is very limited! They do however, offer valet (but at $20+). There is off-street parking, but be careful since this is a residential area and nothing is secure. All in all, I really had a great time and left with my belly full! Definitely worth checking out! What was lost is now found! Enjoy!

First, her name is **KeeWee**. That is the correct spelling. And if you have spent any real time at The Alley Kat, you know exactly who she is. KeeWee runs that place with professionalism, personality, and the kind of presence that keeps the room moving. She knows the regulars, she keeps things organized when the place is packed, and she does it with confidence. That is called leadership, not "rudeness." Also, real men do not spend their time criticizing a woman's wig in an online review. That alone tells me everything I need to know about the credibility of that post. If that is the best complaint you have, it sounds like the night went pretty well. Now let's talk about the actual experience. The drinks are excellent, the food is consistently good, and yes, the place stays busy. That is usually what happens when people enjoy being somewhere. The bartenders work hard, the atmosphere is lively, and the staff actually knows their customers. Shannon and the rest of the team are always welcoming. The Alley Kat reopening after COVID was a big deal for a lot of us. Places like this are part of the community. For many of us, it has become our version of **Cheers**. The rest of us will be right where we always are, enjoying good drinks, good food, and good company. If you know, you know. And we are glad The Alley Kat is back. It's a far different space than it was during my first review 9 years ago and a key element of that IS KEEWEE. My friend and I ordered the Butterfly Pea French 75's, which were everything and more. My wife went with the Strawberry Tequila Lemon Drop, and it was just as amazing. These drinks alone are enough to bring me back. The music selection fit the atmosphere perfectly, and I loved the decor especially the Monsteras propagating in the window. I also noticed the DJ booth, and judging by the playlist, I can only imagine the DJ sets are a whole vibe. On top of all that, this is a Black-owned restaurant, and I had the pleasure of fist bumping the owner, which made the experience feel even more special. It came on a bed of sauce that was flavorful with fresh veggies but it did not go well with the steak. Perhaps chicken would've suited better. The steak itself was dry and quite chewy. For dessert we had the carrot cake tres leches which was decent. The carrot cake flavor was there but the moisture from the cake was not fully spread in the cake.
