Wing quarter was recommended by a fellow foodie ;) and today was the day I finally tried this wonderful spot. I went on a Thursday evening. Not too crowded, clean, no loud music but subtle zydeco music playing with the NFL draft on the tvs. The menu seemed endless but I wanted to try a bit of everything; therefore, I concluded that I should get the Big Zulu w/ original chicken wings, and mac and cheese. (I had to order the Mac and cheese bc I'm a Mac and cheese connoisseur). Oh can't forget my daiquiri. The food "slapped"!!!! The catfish, the shrimp, the wings, the fries... (oOoOo the fries) were so flavorful and fried perfectly! The food wasn't dry, burnt or undercook. It was amazing. When it came to the mac and cheese, it was a little disappointing. It wasn't as creamy and cheesy as I would have wanted. It reminded me of velveeta mac and cheese with seasoning. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't the best. (Only item I wouldn't vouch for) If you wanted a cheat meal, I 10 ten will recommend! It's worth the extra calories. Now to my drink. Ms. DeeDee was the perfect host/waitress/bartender/cashier... person!!! She was sooo kind and sweet. I asked her surprise me with my drink and she did her big one! I barely drank a quarter of my drink and was already feeling it. She was a great multitasker for sure! She ensured we were taken care of throughout our visit while tending to the other walk-ins. We came to this place with high hopes, but unfortunately it's not a place I would return to. The service was mid for starters. Then on to the food... extremely disappointing. The green beans taste so bad I was taken aback. The Mac and cheese was even worse. It was watery and had chunks on cheese in it. The wings weren't up to par either. The boudain was mushy, I couldn't even finish it. The employee did notice and understand that the food wasn't prepared properly so he let me swap those sides out for fries instead. But by that time it was too late, the impression had already been set. The fries he gave me weren't even cooked all the way through. I'm not gonna lie wing Quarter was a place that I never tried before and I wanted to try them for dinner. I attempted to buy a four piece boneless wing buy one get one for you from DoorDash waited 45 minutes only to receive notification from my Dasher that when they arrived, they didn't have the order nor the product to make my order. What in the entire hell man then they casually asked the Dasher to ask me if I wanted something else I was like sure if you're gonna honor the same promo and give me something similar. I ordered NOLA Special to-go through a 3rd party. The catfish was great crispy and moist. However I had to give 3 stars because of the wings. The wings I was delivered tasted good however there was a lot of hair on all the wings so I spent a lot time plucking the hairs from the wings than actually eating them. And with the wings being sauced it was quite difficult to get all of them. I had one wing that had a really long thick hair which should've been noticeable, before they sauced the wings. We spent almost $100 and threw most of the food away. CUSTOMER SERVICE- Good, nice and friendly. BOUDAIN BALLS- dry overcooked and mushy WINGS-best part, spicy lemon pepper GUMBO- flavorless, overcooked, and possibly old. Didn't taste like gumbo at all. Rice was so mushy it gave mashed potato consistency FRIED CATFISH/ETOUFFEE- this meal had potential but it was served over wet mushy rice. Highly disappointing. DAIQUIRIS- okay CLEANLINESS- 4.5/10, I was told that my food was put in a to go container because they haven't washed the dishes. The tables and the floor were dirty. The restroom wasn't bad actually. Also there was a huge bucket of ranch sitting on the counter uncovered for quite some time before some came and started putting it in the little containers. If I could give this a 0 star I would. Worst customer service ever. I ordered my food and paid for it at the bar. I ordered drinks and my food to go. I asked the bartender for my drinks and she said she was on break. So my food came out wrong and then I told them how my food was supposed to be and then the server told me that she wasn't in the kitchen. My drinks never came so I went in line in the front and waited on the people in front of me in line to get their drinks then I reordered the he drink that I never received. Was enticed to go by an Instagram influencer with a great video review. However, my experience was far from that. The cook made my food items one at a time which resulted in luke warm food by the time I received everything. Two of my items were made wrong and had to be sent back to the kitchen. the daiquiri was flavorless just taste like a lot of low grade alcohol and on top of the $100 I spent there is an automatic gratuity. we are in the inside and all you hear is the door slamming over and over as people enter because it's broken. the food is not work the price and the service was mid. wont be coming back here. read more

Wing Quarter is located in Third Ward off of OST. My plate was stacked full of shrimp, fish, and wings straight out of the grease (fire). The batter was a perfect golden brown and was seasoned to perfection! I need another round of that dirt rice because it was soooo good. The cornbread had just the right sweetness to it. Some regular fries! Amazing! So fries, CHECK!! Daiquiri: CHECK! I got home and didn't have my jalapeños. Just remembered, so let me take a star off (Almost made it)...
