Still on the quest to find the best wings in Houston so I went to wing boss after seeing an IG post. They had a lot of flavor options so I asked the server what were the most popular flavors. She told me Parmesan Lemon pepper. So i ordered those and the hot honey flavors. It was a little over $20 for the meal. It took about 25-30 minutes to get the wings. Parmesan Lemon pepper was underwhelming. The lemon pepper flavor was very very mild. It felt like I was eating a Parmesan wing. The hot honey was ok nothing too special. The fries were good but they could've definitely been more crispy. Good customer service but the wings weren't my favorite. Still on the hunt to find the best wings in Houston!

The best ((wangs)) I had in a long time! Seasoned, fried and tossed in a zesty honey garlic wet sauce. I wasn't expecting the flavors to come together and still have lite crunch. Very clean restroom. Roughly around 1:30pm but no wait and food comes out pretty quick. Everything I had was good. I would say kinda expensive but everything is going up now days. Ms.Shanay at the counter gave me all the deets on the popular menu items, so I'll be back. Especially because I had a non alcohol drink.

Even while out of town I like to support small businesses, so we stopped by The Wing Boss for dinner. Upon arrival the place was full of people but there was plenty of room to sit and dine in. The young lady that took our order was friendly and brought our food to us when it was ready. The ambiance was very lively with music playing and everyone just seemed to be having a good time. We ordered a 24 pc wings ( Mango Habanero, Bbq, Hot Lemon Pepper) and fries. The wings all had an amazing flavor and the french fries were both fresh and well seasoned. Everyone left happy and with full bellies. Great Spot!

Came here for dinner and they appeared to be super busy from to go orders. We opted to dine in and the wait time was ridiculous for our food. We waited well over 30 minutes, almost an hour just for our food to come out. The amount of people dining in wasn't that busy, but seemed like everyone was having to wait for their food. The flavor of the wings and the fries were delicious, so I had to give the rating 3 stars. Otherwise, I would not recommend coming during meal times, unless you want to wait.

When it comes to wings in the Med Center, there aren't many places that will do them better than The Wing Boss. They're a black-owned business specializing in wings with a little Cajun flair. While they might get pegged as a perpetual takeout/delivery spot, they have so much to offer as dine-in establishment. For starters, they have ample seating, TVs for days (aka a straight up sports bar), and a full bar. The friendly service, solid parking situation, and even clean bathrooms makes this a bonafide happy hour destination for residents / workers in the neighborhood and/or casual sports evening with some comfort food. The bone-in wings are a staple here. About 12 of the wings comes in at a cool $18.95, which comes with 3 "Boss" sauces and a couple of Hawaiian rolls. For an extra $1.50 charge, one can make it all flats / drums. The wings are juicy and weren't overcooked, which is tough to do. They also offer boneless which are $2-3 cheaper per bundle and there is also vegan cauliflower wings that aren't always available. They have a impressive array of sauces from zesty honey garlic to garlic parmesan to mango habanero. Their hot honey and hot lemon pepper are popular but there's also classic choices like mayo, ranch, and blue cheese. Each sauce is a $1 extra if it doesn't already come with a combo. Their non-wing offerings are interesting to me, especially since they lean into their Cajun side. It goes beyond the Cajun fries, but their fried okra, dirty rice, catfish "bites", and their boudin egg rolls. I wasn't terribly impressed with their loaded boss fries ($15) or their fried shrimp, but I did enjoy the boudin egg rolls ($11 for 3), and was super impressed with the catfish bites. They were perfectly fried, with nice hunks of catfish meat with just enough breading to hold it all together. Practically *everything* had some serious seasoning to it with a hint of spice in every bite. I only know of another location in Cypress, but I'm quite satisfied with this inner loop location. I was told it can be busy throughout the week and after tasting the food and seeing their ambiance, I can 100% see why.

Came here based off of a recommendation of a friend. It was about 8 of us, and we were quickly seated and served. To say that it was 8 of us, the service was extremely fast and the food came out very hot. Before the last person was done ordering, they were already bringing out the first person's food. It's a pretty chill ambience. Not far from Texas Southern University, large parking lot, great for after a game or to watch a game. It has a sports bar feel. I ordered the hot honey catfish sliders & the 6 piece lemon pepper wings. A friend of mine got the hot honey wings. WOW! they were absolutely delicious. The lemon pepper wings were OK, the catfish sliders were definitely a hit. They had just the right amount of honey and you could tell it's a homemade sauce. Really delicious! Giving them 5 stars for the fresh food & great customer service!

Bridget and Jazz met us at the door with the upmost respect and hospitality. Walking in I immediately felt like I just pulled up to auntie house for some wings. The music sets the vibe immediately. The cleanliness to the lighting supports a high frequency vibe that will turn a rainy day into one of the most memorable Houston nights. Definitely will be returning 100%

've been wantin to try this place for a hot minute now and I finally made it on over. I walked in and was politely greeted by a friendly young lady at the register. She answered all my questions with a smile and even made a few suggestions. I really love the way the inside is decorated. Plenty of seating available and TVs on the wall for entertainment. I ordered the 12 piece wings, 6 lemon pepper and 6 zesty honey garlic. The wings were easily a 10 out of 10. The texture was absolutely perfect. Nice and crispy skin, while still maintaining a very juicy and tender piece of chicken. The size was larger than most of the other wing spot in this area. The flavor was definitely was set them apart from other restaurants. Both flavors were incredible!!! They were so good, i didn't even need ranch. Speaking of ranch.......that's the only bad thing I could possibly say about this place. It definitely wasn't homemade. It wasn't bad at all; just not the typical ranch I prefer. I highly recommend stopping by and trying their amazing wings and creative flavor combinations for yourself.

The wings are really good. Good flavor and crispy. The dirty rice was really good. Friendly waiter/cashier. Good prices. Full bar and daily hour hour specials. I'll definitely be back. The inside was clean. Music was jammin. It's a chill laidback vibe and I will be back to try more wing flavors.

Late night dinner time. Ordered through Uber Eats, and was feeling some wings. I ordered 6 breaded mild lemon pepper wings, and 10 catfish bites. Service was quick and my food was still hot. This made me happy. The catfish bites were delicious! They came with a small container of tartar sauce (I really needed two). The wings although mild, were still too spicy for me. They also came with a small container of ranch. Not sure of the ambiance, but the website photos seem like a nice casual spot. Definitely a spot I'll try again! The catfish was really good to me.

Ordered takeout from here after working late this week. Upon other reviews' recommendation, called in my order since I read that they can take a while to cook. I came right at the 15-minute mark and the wings were on the way out from the kitchen. The restaurant was pretty empty on a Tuesday night but looked like a lot of people like me were doing takeout. The employee over the phone (who I believe was also the cashier) was sweet and made the ordering and pickup process simple. I ordered the 12 boneless wings + fries combo. At $20.95, price is a little steep compared to the competition. Without fries, you save $3. I will say that the boneless wings were BIG and meaty. The flavors I got were Zesty Honey Garlic, Garlic Parmesan, and Regular BBQ. The 12 piece comes with 2 Hawaiian rolls, whereas the 6 piece and 8 piece come with 1 Hawaiian roll. My favorite flavor was the Garlic Parmesan. It was savory and had just the right amount of garlic season. The cheese is your standard grocery store parm that was used as part of the seasoning. My least favorite was the Regular BBQ. I felt like the barbecue sauce was slightly bland and didn't have the sweetness you'd normally find in Sweet Baby Ray's. And in the middle, the Zesty Honey Garlic was good! Sweet and tangy, had a nice blend of flavors captured in a boneless wing. The rolls are just your standard premade Hawaiian rolls straight out of the box. I normally don't have rolls with my wings and honestly could've done away with these, but I suppose this may be how they justify the higher price point. The place knows the drill with takeout - they puncture a hole in the top of the foam boxes to keep the fried foods crispy. Pro detail that a lot of places miss and can definitely ruin the meal! Even with the punctured hole, the boneless wings weren't as crispy as I would've liked them -- not sure if it was due to being boxed up or if this is their normal crispness, but until I have a dine-in experience, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt. Overall this was a good new discovery for wings. Not sure if I'd go out of my way to come here since the narrow edge in wing quality compared to the competition is hard to justify for the price point. They do have a full bar with daily drink specials, so a good reason to visit. I'd recommend at least giving them a try if you find yourself in the Med Center / NRG area.

Delicious we got the zesty honey garlic and hot lemon pepper breaded wings and an order of fries. Both were really good! Kim was extremely welcoming and accommodating. Ambiance was home like vibes and there were several friendly regulars there. Definitely recommend this place if you want some fresh hot tasty wings.

FANTASTIC! They have breaded wings which is why I went and boy they did not disappoint!! I've been a Wingstop girl but this changed my mind. When I want wings, I think of Wing Boss now. Their Cajun fries are perfectly seasoned, the zesty honey garlic is delicious!! The servers are attentive, friendly, and helpful, especially at your first visit and don't know what to choose. They have a bar and big tvs for sports. It's small but clean. Highly recommend!

One thing to note is they don't serve food, I did hear they rotate food trucks at times, but none were there when we went which was a bit of a downside, but they did allow us to bring in outside food, which honestly made up for it and gave us more options. Parking wasn't too bad when we went, and since it wasn't super packed, everything felt smooth and easy. Overall, great vibes, good drinks, and a fun place. Definitely a spot I'd come back to for a casual hangout or social night out.
