Got a too good to go surprise bag $6.48, the food came hot and fresh so I was excited. However, I definitely expected more food for the value given that it's the "special" bag and compared to other too good to go value bags. The food itself is pretty average / good compared to all the Jamaican food I've had. Heard some people on google reviews had stomach issues with it so we'll find out! Service - fast and nice staff Ambiance - it was empty inside apart from people getting takeouts and a man drunk/out at the bar

This is a cute restaurant off if 610 and close to downtown. It has a nice bar and space to host a party. We went on a Sunday and tbe service and food were an A+. We ordered 2 lg oxtail plates and I love their seasoning and sauce. They have happy hour all day on Sunday and the rum punch was too good. This is my maybe third time going and i will def be back.

It's not even located on Bourbon Street, or even within 5 hours of it. False advertising? Bourbon Sizzler aka Island Sizzler aka Indian Sizzler is definitely a very popular Jamaican restaurant and it takes over a spot that has had so many other Sizzlers (such as Island Sizzler which was very similar and Indian Sizzler which was quite different). No matter what the Sizzler, it's always been a good place to eat and now is not an exception. Yes there are some dishes that aren't as good as others and yes they're not the cheapest considering the neighbourhood, but it's still a great place to come and get food.

I'm usually a Cool runnings Jamaican grill and bar fan and that's where I'll stick to ordering from now on. When my food was delivered I had one scoop of cabbage that was smashed into the plate, 2 small plantain, some goat curry and rice and peas. Half of the food was inedible. One of my plantain was extremely dry, the goat was rubbery and fatty with a lot of salt and mostly bones, the rice and peas was not good and I didn't even touch the cabbage. This "large plate" was $27. I get twice the amount for $20 at cool runnings and the food is always immaculate. Thank god door dash gave me my money back.

Eat at your own risk lol. The food and service is inconsistent. I assume since they have changed the name the restaurant is under new management and so the experience is definitely different. The inside was very dim... no island music playing just some guy at the front taking your order while on his personal phone. The customer service wasn't bad but it also wasn't great. The restaurant was pretty dead when I arrived. I was able to place my order and get my food pretty fast. Upon opening my small curry plate, it was definitely the smallest portion of curry chicken I have ever received from this restaurant. I guess they are cutting back. My portion size should have been on the appetizer side. The favor was there, I could taste the authentic Jamaican food but it was just OK. I guess I want more from this place since it's one of the only places in the area that serves Jamaican food. I am not sure I will be back but then again I tell myself that all the time and 3 months later I am back... always slightly disappointed lol

placed an order using the TGTG app; the food was delicious!! amazing portions for the price paid. the service was really really great and the ambiance was nice. i will be back in to try their lunch specials as well as their DAILY happy hour and it definitely looks like the bartender knows how to pour a good drink.

Not good. If you are looking for oxtails they seem to have good reviews. Never have chicken patties in 3 weeks i have requested. Orded small chicken curry. No spice. Barely any flavor. Asking for steam rice which is on menu. Not available again. Only cabbage n rice n peas. I don't like either. I had rum punch n d pending who is making it might be decent. Drink only

Overall, the Bourbon Sizzler's jerk chicken with rice and peas was satisfying, but I'd prefer more sauce on the side. Opted for takeout. In and out is my preferred choice for a quick meal, given the outside activity levels.

    Beef Patty

So disappointed! I haven't ate here in a couple of months but I never would have expected the food to be so off. The oxtail were not seasoned the same, not tender & had a sweet taste to them. Not to mention the beef patty was soooooo greasy it needed a couple of napkins to allow it to drain more. I think the place has switched owners there is no way the same people are cooking.

Jerk Chicken Plate: Jerk Chicken, Rice and Peas, Cabbage, 2 Fried Plantains

If I could give a 3.8 star rating I would and here's why: * The jerk chicken was great seasoned well and not under or overcooked but I didn't understand them not having jerk wings available since it is a Caribbean restaurant but the chicken was good so a win is a win on that. * Rice and peas were fine and not over/uncooked either but thankfully I ordered oxtail gravy which literally made it amazing! * Plantains were top tier! Love a good sweet savory plantain and that made the meal not overall not so great because for the next one. * Cabbage gave very much high blood pressure immediately. No exaggeration, it tasted as if they made the cabbage in saltwater literally. 0/10 for the cabbage without a doubt. * Price point was great for the amount of food received. * Delivery packaging could be much better (sticker, seal or even double knotting the bags for safety purposes).

I ordered the salmon fried rice, oxtails and the jerk chicken egg rolls. My husband ordered the curry goat with rice and peas. We both shared some candied yams and a side of plantain. We ordered a variety to get a good feel. Turns out we were both satisfied with everything. The food is tasty and well seasoned. If you're looking for a place to kick it with some friends this is a cool weekend spot. There's a DJ that plays on certain nights, the drinks are decent, the lively atmosphere keeps you engaged and entertained. One thing to know, you can't call in your order nor place it online which is very inconvenient. You have to go in, so be prepared to wait a while for your order.

Even then, the patio is well equipped with fans to help cool you down. It seems like a hot spot especially for brunch or Sunday funday so I'll be back!

They only serve one kind of soup, Red Pepper. Lucian's also serves oxtail and goat, but I personally REFUSE to devour that kind of livestock! The menu has affordable prices. Lucian's are sports fanatics, noted by their collection of flags and their TVs only shows sports. Yes, they also offer champagne and spiked sodas for those of you who drink (NOT me). They have a small stage inside for live music performances! Our food was excellent, but they were out of a lot dishes that day, and it wasn't busy at all! Thank god we found this!…read more After finishing our lunch at Wrap & Roll, we saw this out of the corner of the eye and decided to stop here as the girlfriend was looking for some caribbean snacks. Being from St Croix island in the Virgin Islands, seeing the menu and taking in the smells of this place gave her memories of back home. Of course I was happy to indulge her request as it gave me an opportunity to try some handheld eats. First the beef pattie, pretty big and so savory with the meat melting in your mouth and the dough having a nice texture and crust. And then the saheena; OMG! It was my first time having this lovely pastry which is made of chickpeas, spinach, and caribbean spices. You'll be hooked on this after one bite. Texture was similar to a savory piece of cornbread. Of course I was very happy with this item. The girlfriend ordered a currant roll which had some sweetness to it with a flaky crust. I enjoyed it but not as much as I was scarfing down my beef pattie and saheena. They also serve traditional caribbean eats including jerk chicken, oxtails, bake & saltfish, and roti wraps. We noticed a lot of people place to go orders here and call ahead for pick up. There were several bags of eats waiting as we witnessed people roll in and pick them up while having small talk with the owners. All those items looked delicious and we plan to come back and try those out. We also talked to the owners for a bit, they're a husband/wife team who've owned/operated this place for a while. Super polite and gracious, they helped me navigate the menu and explained what the items would be like when I ordered. Sadly I could not get the Aloo Pie (sold out) but they assured me it's worth having and to come back and try it (which we will). Pearland is lucky to have this place here. Definitely recommend trying it out for yourself!

This was my first time coming to the food truck park and I especially came because of this truck. The staff was so nice I really contemplated about this rating for this review, but when I think about the amount of money paid for my main entree and how I couldn't eat half of it and the spice levels didn't match my expectation, I came to this. A 3.5 would have been more accurate quite honestly but alas, yelp has its system. I ordered the bake and fried fish and the doubles. I asked for spicy on the doubles but they didn't taste too spicy - instead I used the sauce included on my bake n fish (possibly had some scotch bonnet peppers) and it was excellent. The bake and fish came as tacos - I don't think I realized that. It was good, but only two small tacos. The french fries were unfortunately burnt and therefore dry and inedible. I gave up on eating them. We were in a hurry, otherwise, I would have chatted with the staff about possibly getting some new fries.
