Such a cute coffee shop and cafe. This location had a spot where you could sit down and someone would come and take your order. If you wanted to do take out like me, you ordered at the counter and your drink came out at the pick up station. The menu had a great variety of different food and drink options. I decided to try their matcha latte and was impressed. It was on the more expensive side drink wise but it tasted delicious. Highly recommend if you are looking for a coffee shop in Franklin!

Overall: Ordered the matcha w/ banana syrup and almond milk -- solid! :) Wish it came with a little less ice (like most coffee places though). Pricing was about standard, on the higher side to get add ons (syrup, milk alternative). Service: Quick and friendly, my to-go drink came out almost immediately after I ordered. Ambience: Cute and very homey, can get a little cramped inside when ordering, but otherwise very cozy spot.

Stopped in here really quick on our way out of town. I used to run a very popular cafe in our home city and our family has owned cafes and diners, so we know good coffee. Whilst the inside is very appealing to the eye, unfortunately the actual coffee left much to be desired. We ordered two iced drinks and unfortunately they just did not taste the best and the coffee itself tasted very watered down. I can't state if their hot drinks are better, but we wouldn't be back for any iced drinks. I also wish that the iced option could have different sizes but it seems like the iced versions only come in one size and most of the cup is filled with ice. The staff was very polite though. Definitely more of a Williamsburg hipster vibe to the entire place but it's fine. If the staff wasn't as nice, I probably would have rated this place 2-3 stars.

Worth the wait! We absolutely loved the frothy monkey! From their delicious lattes, to their diverse menu this hidden gem should be on your "must try" list! The vibes are incredible with inside and outside seating with a BOHO theme. The staff are all super sweet and helpful! Our server today was Neely and we loved her personality & she was a wonderful waitress. 10/10 recommend ! We will definitely come back our next trip!

Cute cafe that we stopped at after leaving Franklin TN. My friend and I got the seasonal latte called the Hummingbird latte with banana, cinnamon, and house made pecan and it did not disappoint! Service was very good. They have some baked goods that looked awesome but we didn't get anything to eat. They also serve beer, wines, sandwiches, greens and grains, and have merchandise for sale.

While visiting Franklin, my daughter chose Frothy Monkey for Sunday brunch. She said one her friends loves to eat here. It was busy, but we were lucky to have been seated right away at a nice table upstairs by a sunny window. My daughter ordered the Vanilla Cinnamon French Toast with the peaches on the side. I chose the Shrimp & Grits. Both were prepared well and quite good. The space is clean and bright. We enjoyed the home like atmosphere and cute decor. Service was friendly and not rushed. Definitely a place we'll come back to!

We were looking for somewhere with great food and drinks in a bustling downtown Franklin on a holiday Saturday morning. Frothy Monkey and its two floors had ample seating for a busy area and we were so glad to not have to wait but still have AMAZING food and coffee. Our server was very kind and pleasant and the food came quickly. Will be back! Frothy Monkey is said to be a Nashville classic for a reason.

Their espresso is amazing and the atmosphere is adorable! We did not order any food, but everything they brought out looked delicious.

I'm disappointed in the changes Frothy Monkey has made to their menu and their protocols. When arriving for a cup of coffee, one must be seated and have table service. When we tried to just get a go cup of coffee, we were told this was not allowed so we left. Many months later I returned to have coffee with a friend, of course I knew we would be having table service, what I didn't know when I ordered coffee with cream was that they charge $3 for cream while places a stones throw away charge 50 cents.

This has been a tricky review for me to write. I've been to this Frothy location more than a few times and inconsistency seems to reign supreme here. Some experiences have been 5 stars: So good, that for the days following my visit I'll subconsciously work Frothy Monkey into every conversation. Other times, I am given whiplash by poor customer service, dragging wait-times (flat whites don't take 20 minutes) and food that seemingly hasn't been warm since my previous 5-star visit. When it's good, its REALLY good, but when it's bad, I hang my head and contemplate where else I could've/should've/would've dined intead. Don't make me do that anymore, Frothy Monkey! I like it so much better when I get to sing your praises. Nonetheless, 4 stars, because I will be back (and you should try it, too.)

This has been a good breakfast place to go over the years with healthier options than other places, and of course good coffee. It has held up to me to newer brunch places cause of this, and try to come back when I'm in town. I got a flat white drink and the BE Hive Bowl. It was my friend's first time and he got some type of coffee drink and food, forget what. A hostess seated us at our table and had a waiter, which is fancier than when I've been previously. Was the same good atmosphere and with a good waiter.

Matcha was not very good and way too sweet. They didn't know what ceremonial grade meant lol

known and common tn spot that is perfect for brunch with friends/family. Menu has solid options with southern charm. Recommend going for breakfast and getting a coffee! Would not recommend matcha though. I got the garden omelet with sourdough toast. not bad.

The app clearly advertised my order would be ready in about 9 minutes, so I planned everything accordingly--unlocked my office, set up my classroom, and timed it so I could grab my food and eat before my new hires arrived. The pickup time updated to 8:20 AM, which was already a slight delay--but manageable. I arrived... and my order wasn't ready. At 8:35, someone finally checked on it and told me it would be "2 more minutes" and that it was delayed due to a large catering order. That explanation made it seem like my order just wasn't a priority. 8:40... still nothing. Now I'm no longer just hungry--I'm on the verge of being late to run a professional training session. Meanwhile, the staff could clearly see me pacing back and forth for nearly 30 minutes, yet no one took ownership of the situation. At one point, I was even asked if I had been helped--which was surprising considering I had been standing there the entire time. I finally received my food at 8:47 AM, leaving me just enough time to rush back before my presentation. Afterward, I called to speak with a manager. The person I spoke with said she was a manager, apologized, and offered to remake the food (which made no sense given the time already lost). She then said she would issue a refund and took my number to follow up. That call never came. No refund. No follow-through. This experience showed a lack of urgency, communication, and accountability. I understand delays happen--but ignoring a waiting customer and failing to honor a promised resolution is unacceptable. I won't be relying on this location again, especially during a workday.

No hacks, no substitutions, no overthinking it, just a quietly elite Southern breakfast move that feels like it deserves its own line on the menu. The foundation is what makes it work. The grits here are genuinely excellent, creamy, well-seasoned, and clearly made with intention. And it's not a small scoop either; the bowl is three side orders of grits. This is not a light breakfast situation. One practical note: they're thick enough that they show up without a spoon. Not a complaint, just a moment of "respect the density." Once you break the yolks, though, everything loosens up into that rich, cohesive, borderline dangerous comfort food zone. What stands out is how unbothered the kitchen is about it. It comes out clean, properly executed, no questions asked, as if this is just a completely normal, correct way to eat breakfast.
