Such a cute coffee shop and cafe. This location had a spot where you could sit down and someone would come and take your order. If you wanted to do take out like me, you ordered at the counter and your drink came out at the pick up station. The menu had a great variety of different food and drink options. I decided to try their matcha latte and was impressed. It was on the more expensive side drink wise but it tasted delicious. Highly recommend if you are looking for a coffee shop in Franklin!

Stopped in here really quick on our way out of town. I used to run a very popular cafe in our home city and our family has owned cafes and diners, so we know good coffee. Whilst the inside is very appealing to the eye, unfortunately the actual coffee left much to be desired. We ordered two iced drinks and unfortunately they just did not taste the best and the coffee itself tasted very watered down. I can't state if their hot drinks are better, but we wouldn't be back for any iced drinks. I also wish that the iced option could have different sizes but it seems like the iced versions only come in one size and most of the cup is filled with ice. The staff was very polite though. Definitely more of a Williamsburg hipster vibe to the entire place but it's fine. If the staff wasn't as nice, I probably would have rated this place 2-3 stars.

Worth the wait! We absolutely loved the frothy monkey! From their delicious lattes, to their diverse menu this hidden gem should be on your "must try" list! The vibes are incredible with inside and outside seating with a BOHO theme. The staff are all super sweet and helpful! Our server today was Neely and we loved her personality & she was a wonderful waitress. 10/10 recommend ! We will definitely come back our next trip!

It was busy, but we were lucky to have been seated right away at a nice table upstairs by a sunny window. My daughter ordered the Vanilla Cinnamon French Toast with the peaches on the side. I chose the Shrimp & Grits. Both were prepared well and quite good. The space is clean and bright. We enjoyed the home like atmosphere and cute decor. Service was friendly and not rushed. Definitely a place we'll come back to!

I'm disappointed in the changes Frothy Monkey has made to their menu and their protocols. When arriving for a cup of coffee, one must be seated and have table service. When we tried to just get a go cup of coffee, we were told this was not allowed so we left. Many months later I returned to have coffee with a friend, of course I knew we would be having table service, what I didn't know when I ordered coffee with cream was that they charge $3 for cream while places a stones throw away charge 50 cents.

Some experiences have been 5 stars: So good, that for the days following my visit I'll subconsciously work Frothy Monkey into every conversation. Other times, I am given whiplash by poor customer service, dragging wait-times (flat whites don't take 20 minutes) and food that seemingly hasn't been warm since my previous 5-star visit. When it's good, its REALLY good, but when it's bad, I hang my head and contemplate where else I could've/should've/would've dined intead. Don't make me do that anymore, Frothy Monkey! I like it so much better when I get to sing your praises. Nonetheless, 4 stars, because I will be back (and you should try it, too.)

This has been a good breakfast place to go over the years with healthier options than other places, and of course good coffee. It has held up to me to newer brunch places cause of this, and try to come back when I'm in town. I got a flat white drink and the BE Hive Bowl. It was my friend's first time and he got some type of coffee drink and food, forget what. A hostess seated us at our table and had a waiter, which is fancier than when I've been previously. Was the same good atmosphere and with a good waiter.

Great spot to grab a coffee before strolling around downtown Franklin, especially during the Christmas season when you're checking out all the boutiques and decorations. I, as always, ordered a cappuccino with almond milk, and my dad's wife got a mocha, both were really good. They also have plenty of food options, so that's definitely on my list for next time. Perfect little stop to kick off a walk around town. read more

Three words: Iced Hummingbird Latte (Banana, Pecan, and Cinnamon -- yum). I got mine with oat milk. Jason, a manager at the Franklin location, told me they recently tried to take it off the menu and there was a near insurrection by customers. One taste and I knew why! read more

Stopped in here really quick on our way out of town. I used to run a very popular cafe in our home city and our family has owned cafes and diners, so we know good coffee. We were recommended to go to this place and it left a lot to be desired. We have 3 kids and our server didn't mention substituting side items for kids meals was a $4-6 up charge. We had to ask for condiments many times, we had no silverware when we got our food and the service was awful. The Caesar salad isn't normal (it has quinoa mixed in with kale as the lettuce - I believe). However, I did enjoy it. The turkey melt on sourdough was tough to eat and not very big. The side of chips is pretty tasteless. The tomato basil soup was the best. They kids got hamburgers but it came plain and they don't have mustard. Just all around an odd place and I don't think it's work $65. I didn't like the dark atmosphere either. It felt very dreary. I would not recommend. read more

Still a big fan of the Frothy Monkey! Our most recent visit was for the Wine Pairings dinner. What? you ask.... If you don't know, you must not be on the mailing list. It's an amazing event, 5 course meal with chef specialties and wine selected for each course. Always a great evening and a chance to enjoy some unusual dishes as well as some new wines. My only regret is not eating here too! My coffee was amazing. This coffee house is so cute, so trendy, bustling with energy. I had the golden monkey and it was like pumpkin spice's hot older sister... exactly me and what I like! Definitely try it if you're looking for something delicious and different. Came here with my girlfriend and her brother for breakfast, I got the garden omelette and they both got the chorizo biscuits and gravy. My omelette had good flavor but was cold when it came out, the sourdough on the side was decent. They both gave the biscuits and gravy a 6/10 and is very untraditional to your typical biscuits and gravy (more of a cheese sauce then a gravy). Over all the star of the show was my girlfriend's latte 10/10. We would come back but only for coffee. read more

There was definitely some monkeying around today with the plating of my Banana Overnight Oats. Looked like a kindergartner was made at the plate and tossed whatever they found from their homeschool meal. Taste 2/5 On the flip side. It was pure gold with the "Golden Monkey". The rich and frothy turmeric milk, exemplified with the notes of honey and warm cinnamon, intertwining with a delightful shot of divine espresso. This alone was worth the drive from The Boro. Taste 5/5 Service was good. The ambiance is alive and can be distracting if you're looking for a place to study, or work. I'd say it's more of a cafe over a coffee shop. Would I visit again? I'm really sad to say that this place had really gone downhill. I used to go to Frothy at least once a week back in 2017 and it doesn't compare to what it was back in the day. Shots are pulled too long and very inconsistent. Service is also pretty terrible. Since 2020, you have to be seated to order coffee (unless it's to go). I waited about 5+ min today and all 6 people behind the bar totally ignored my family. So I approached the register to order coffee, and everyone seemed shocked that I approached them to order..? There's just so much more that's happened but ultimately, terrible service from being sat, to ordering, to paying for our drinks. I really tried to approach this place with a great attitude and kept saying "oh it's just a one off! They're great, I promise!" But ever experience this past month has been disappointing. I've been hearing from a lot of people to not go to Frothy anymore, and I think today we finally decided to stop. I'm willing to drive 20+ min ti a good coffee shop rather than 5 minutes for terrible coffee and service. read more

The people serving were bubbly and friendly...unfortunately, we sat for about 35 min and no food ever came (soup, salad and sandwich). The server (not the one who took our order) tried to blame it on the system not printing out the order for the kitchen, but guessing our original server didn't put the order in. Had we not been on a schedule, we would have waited...oh well! read more

I don't make it very often to FM but when I do, it's always like breathing in a breath of fresh air. First of all, when you begin your walk up to FM, they have plenty of outdoor seating underneath the eves of the house that makes if comfortable outside even when its raining out. Second, when you step inside you notice to your right that there is Plenty of seating and your not elbow to elbow with your neighbor. the ordering process is little slow but it's not a place to run in and run out with your coffee, it's a place to come get coffee and sit with some of your friends and unwind for a bit. Third, you have a second floor with More seating! And they have a private area that you can rent/reserve(not sure if you have to pay) for private parties and gatherings. They food is Delicious and the salsa is Amazing! If a restaurant offers salsa and chips for a snack/appetizer, I judge the rest of its food by tasting the salsa and if the salsa is good, then i know for sure that the rest of the food is going to be outstanding as well. Which it is. Plus they have beer and wine that you can order to have with your food, how awesome is that! Great place to meet friends or read a book and unwind with your coffee or iced tea. I recently visited Frothy Monkey with a friend for drinks, and it was such a great experience! Their drink menu is creative and diverse; I originally ordered a Moscow mule, but since they were out of ginger beer, I settled for a margarita, which was excellent. We also shared the charcuterie board, which was delightful--though a bit light on the bread, everything else was lovely. The drinks were strong and definitely worth the price, and the staff was kind and welcoming. The cozy, warm coffee shop vibe, with its wooden accents and inviting color palette, made it a comfortable place to relax. I'd been here before for coffee to-go and didn't realize they had such an extensive menu with food options that look amazing. I'll definitely be back to try more! Highly recommend. read more

I stopped by Frothy Monkey in Franklin for a quick coffee while driving to an event, and I'm so glad I did. The exterior caught my eye right away super cute and inviting. Inside, it has this eccentric, quirky charm that makes it feel special compared to your usual coffee shop. It was pretty quiet when I went, which made it a perfect little escape for an afternoon pick-me-up. The coffee was really good, though the food options were pretty limited. We had our daughter's dinner reception at the Frothy Monkey in Franklin and had a tremendous experience! The food was awesome, they have a great chef who did a wonderful job with the food. The staff were friendly, helpful and made the evening special. The best part of planning the dinner was working with Chasity, the event coordinator. She was so very helpful and supportive of our ideas and made great suggestions that enhanced the evening. She was great! We highly recommend the Frothy Monkey, Chasity and the staff who truly made our daughter's wedding day joyful and memorable! read more

Given the opportunity to enjoy a Buck sandwich (their version of the Ruben) and/or a fantastic Mocha at Frothy and I'm there. It's a fun place any time of day--a lunch date with my wife or a late night hang time with my college bud. Just last Friday I had what I would consider the best Mocha yet. They guys behind the counter are all about making happiness in a cup. The decor and vibe are fun, too. While parking can be an issue that's not Frothy's fault, that's a downtown Franklin thing. read more

This place always seems to be crowded and hopping, but the servers remain friendly and helpful. Food is always great. Service is always fast. I have eaten here about 20 different occasions, always mid morning on weekends. Sundays can be a little hard finding a seat with the church crowd. I have never had a bad meal or bad service. read more

Mask nazis. Williamson county hasn't had a mandate for a long time now. And they messed up my drink even after I clarified a couple times. (A simple caramel latte). And their pastries are dry. I can forgive and order mess up even a few times. But your wokeness lost a customer. read more
