We love 1819! My husband I find their greenhouse area to be one of our favorite. We sneak away often on Saturday mornings (don't worry. Our kids are teens) just for some alone time. I took so many pictures and videos, I thought I would make an IG reel, but I am not that savvy. This is the most beautiful get out of the city escape to a coffee shop and study, read, walk the grounds, have a date, or meet a friend or group of people. The Homestead Manor that houses the 1819 coffee shop is stunning - built circa 1809-1819, this historic home is reminiscent to the tours I have taken around historic Franklin (Lotz, Carnton, etc.), but you get to actually come inside and sit and enjoy the rooms. You can walk out on the patios upstairs and down - the lower with a porch swing. And, the coffee - WOW, homemade syrups and quality espresso blend! I enjoyed the Peach Cobbler latte iced with oat from their summer menu and it was a divine Southern experience! I am sad they are closed on Sunday (this is a Christian company) because it's the one day I could consistently come out here, I came on a Saturday and it was beautiful and lively. I highly recommend a visit to anyone who can venture out this far or lives near here! read more

This was a wonderful coffee shop. Upon arrival, it is difficult to figure out where to go. There are no signs that say it's a coffee shop. I only knew it was a coffee shop because a friend recommended it. I parked my vehicle and there was a wedding taking place. However, I still walked around the premise and found the coffee shop. I ordered a chocolate covered strawberry latte and a brownie cookie. The latte was delicious and the cookie was warm and soft. After exiting, I walk around the first floor of the next door mansion, which is free of charge. It was a great day to spend a good hour or so. read more

I was a big fan of the Homestead Manor restaurant back in the day, and disappointed when the restaurant was no longer. However, in it's place is a coffee house (where the bar was), and the home is a place to sit, relax, chat, and work. So very nice. Comfy chairs all around. Located in Homestead Manor, this stunning coffee shop is large enough to find ample seating but feels like going to a good friend's house. I highly recommend the cuban latte with cinnamon and the spinach and feta pop tart. It was the perfect late morning meal. The stained glass by the front door is a must-see. So glad I don't live in the area because if I did, I'd pretty much live here! I stopped in while traveling for a black coffee and WiFi... I ended up with both of those as well as 3 homemade pop tarts, a snickerdoodle cookie, and a cheese bagel with bacon chive cream cheese. (In my defense, 1 pop tart survived the day with the other 2 being eaten for lunch and the bagel & cookie being my breakfast.) The cheese bagel was fantastic! The barista toasted it and served the cookie warm as well. I sat and worked for an hour since the coffee shop had plenty of seating (with additional seating in the Manor house as well). The interior is cute & comfy. What more can you ask for in a coffee shop? The pop tarts were yummy though I wish the spinach & feta had a little more filling. My boyfriend will be the lucky receiver of the Nutella pop tart, but it definitely looks like a winner! I'm looking forward to visiting 1819 when I travel through for work again. The next time, I'll be prepared (and bring cash only), so I'm not tempted to eat only their pastries all day! read more

1819 Coffee has been my local fave for almost 2 years. My go-to: their salted caramel iced latte. Their whole menu is great, and their staff is beyond kind. They have a great pastry selection as well as grab-and-go lunches. What I love most about this place is that it's so versatile - I've met friends for coffee and walking (there is so much green space to explore!), I've worked remotely from 1819, and I've seen plenty of people having picnics or playing games outside. It's quiet enough in the house or outside to focus on a work meeting or reading. There's also a sweet prayer request wall inside the house. As a general remark, it's also super clean and there are 3 bathrooms which is helpful. This is the best coffee shop in the Spring Hill/Thompson's Station area IMO! Don't sleep on it! read more

I love everything about this little coffee shop, tucked away behind the old Homestead Manor house, which on it's own is gorgeous and open to explore or sit and hang out. The vibe is both peaceful and cheerful, and the staff is happy and friendly (except for one, who is always salty... I hope she finds some joy). The coffee...especially the iced blueberry latte...it's just so good. We come an embarrassing amount, like 4 days a week. But hey, it's my only vice. 1819 has become one of our favorite local coffee haunts. Located on a beautiful farm, the coffee house takes up real estate in the old carriage house. Brick floors, wood walls, windows, metal tables & chairs. The smell of coffee & a warm "hello" will greet you every time. Our favorites of late have been either an iced lavender latte or an iced honey latte. They also have pretty decent baked goods, both regular & gluten free, that are made fresh on-site daily. There are plenty of places to sit & relax, be it outside on the patio, somewhere on the grounds or inside the old farm house. It's peaceful, understated & relaxing. We came into this place by chance. We were driving down the road and saw a sign for coffee. We pulled in not knowing where the coffee was. At first we walked into a large open, empty ballroom. At first thought was, "what is this place?" We overlooked a huge green space. As we were exploring the place, we saw the coffee sign again. We opened the door and to our surprise, it was the coffee shop! We are not locals and never saw anything like this before. Regardless of what they were selling, I was buying. The gentleman behind the counter told us about the shop, etc. We walked into the large house and saw little corners everywhere with chairs, sofas, etc. After our coffee, we walked on the grounds and it's such a magical place.
