This coffee place was so cute! I really enjoyed their matcha. Nice place to grab a coffee and get some work done at the same time.

Great local coffee shop. Nice menu of fresh drinks and pastries, along with bottled drinks including pressed juices. They sell some cool merchandise as well. Nice seating area to enjoy your beverage in our cool downtown area. Quick service as well. Shop local and stay away from the mega coffee chains.

Perhaps the best eggnog latte I've ever had.

Muletown Coffee Roasters is a warm and lively coffee shop with a vibrant atmosphere, friendly staff, and a great spot in the heart of Downtown. The branding and aesthetics embrace the history and feel of small town Columbia. My first experience a few weeks ago did not have me convinced I'd be a frequenter. My wife and I had ordered a seasonal beverage (s'mores I believe) with oat milk. Personally we did not care for the flavor at all especially for the price we paid. Upon glancing behind the counter, I noticed it was most likely due to the brand that they use for oat milk (Califia) which does not pair very well with coffee in my opinion. That said, I wanted to give the shop another chance and agreed to a coffee meeting there recently with a local pastor. This time, I purposed to order a drink without any substitutions to give them a fair shake. I chose the seasonal eggnog latte (a beloved Christmas tradition for me) and I must say, it may very well be the best I've ever had. The kind and inviting staff delivered a rich and creamy drink with a savory bitter aftertaste. I am already looking for excuses to go back and order one again. Overall, I'm so glad to have revisited this spot and now hope to do it again soon. Muletown is beginning to win me over as perhaps one of my favorite coffee shops in Columbia.

Strawberry matcha is in my top favorites, so good that I drank one while there and then got one for the road! Can't wait to go back!

GREAT place! Finally getting around to making a review! I visited back in early December from Wisconsin while visiting my brother. The shop was so cozy and warm. We sat outside on the patio and had a nice view of the courthouse building. The girl working the register, I think her name was Christian or Christina, was FANTASTIC! She was so helpful walking us through the yummy holiday menu and pastries. I ended up choosing the apple cider and an apple muffin. Thanks Christian (or Christina) for the help and awesome customer service. She was a blessing! I believe a girl named Alison made our drinks. They were amazing!! Thank you! 10/10 Will definitely be back next time I'm visiting!

Nope. Need to clean. Coffee just ok. There is no way these people will stay in business. Big box stores keep this place running.

I ordered the Cappuccino as I wanted to see how this establishment executed one of my favorite drinks. I waited a few minutes for the friendly barista to prepare my order. It was well worth it! The drink was smooth, not too hot, and offered a nutty flavor that drew me in. In fact, I consumed the entire masterpiece on my 3 minute walk back to my Airbnb. If you go, expect to order from an outdoor window. It is very popular, and I am not sure about parking. I saw one outside table that was mostly shaded in the morning light. There may be inside seating? I was in a hurry and did not notice. When you are in the Edgehill area of Nashville, you simply must visit Osa.

It's the kind of place that has a very East Nashville vibe, with a building that appears to have been a former auto repair shop or something of similar nature. It's unpretentious, it's beautiful in its industrial revival way, it's a great place to meet a stranger. The space is very dog friendly and designed to be a place of pleasure, as opposed to a laptop environment. All and all, it just hits the spot incredibly well.

This coffee shop seems pretty out-of-the-way (to me at least -- but I'm not a local so maybe I'm missing something), to the point where I thought maybe my GPS was wrong. But it wasn't, so if you check this place out, have faith in Google maps! Lol. The signage is a little small but I promise it's there! It's near Austin High School and behind a small gas station/mini-mart. There's a spacious parking lot out front and a small patio for nicer days than the day I visited. It was super quiet and cozy inside, and it smelled great! I saw one person working on his laptop, and I'd definitely agree that this is a great place to hunker down and focus. It's mostly a table and chair setup but there's a couch too, iirc. Service was a highlight -- the barista was super kind and bubbly and eager to help with all my questions. She listened to what I liked and provided several excellent recommendations. I can't remember the exact name of the drink I got because I delayed too long between visiting and writing this review, but it was a specialty mocha of some sort, either the Smithy Special or the Beam Bonfire. I'd guess the Smithy Station as I'm not usually super into marshmallow stuff. Whatever I had, it was sweet, smooth, creamy, beautiful, and an appropriate size for the fairly low price. I'd get it again! They have small, typical coffeeshop snacks (think pastries, etc) and change up specials depending on the time of year. I'm in Decatur somewhat often for work, especially during the winter months, and this may be one of my new preferred coffee shops. Thanks for a nice first visit!

We managed to snag a parking spot on the street right in front of 8th & Roast, which is always a plus! There was no line when we got there - but you can tell that this is a popular spot on any day of the week. My husband and I sampled a few of their seasonal drinks - the Peppermint Bark latte, and the Pistachio latte. All of their food options sounded good (and smelled good) so we also ordered the "Old Fashioned" biscuit sandwich to-go. The coffee was delicious - I feel like there's a noticeable difference in taste from shops that roast their own beans. We also really liked the breakfast sandwich! The biscuit was thick and flaky, and the sausage, egg and cheese was warm and savory. We didn't stay indoors long - but this is absolutely the kind of coffee shop that I could see myself working remotely at for a few hours. This was a great start to the long weekend - we'll absolutely be back!

But back in 2017…read moreto 2019, I used to come here to work/study and accidentally discovered the breakfast burrito. And oh boy. I became addicted. Then COVID hit. Window pickup became a thing. That burrito was basically my emotional support animal throughout 2020. I ate it almost every damn day. It was $5.95 and genuinely one of the greatest things I had ever put in my mouth. Fast forward a few years. I hadn't had it in forever. Today I came back, craving my beloved COVID breakfast burrito. Sweet baby Jesus. WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED. The audacity to call this thing a burrito should be investigated by the FBI. It's apparently wrapped in filo dough (pretty sure), which means it's baked, aggressively buttery, ridiculously doughy, and somehow almost raw underneath. This is not a burrito. This is a pastry having an identity crisis. The beans were basically the entire personality of the thing. Barely any vegetables. The egg tasted like it had been cooked twice, then sentenced to another cooking session inside the pastry. Everything was doughy, mushy, buttery, and sad. I took a few bites, stared into the distance, questioned my life choices, and eventually threw the damn thing away. And it's $10 now. Which I have absolutely no problem paying, IF THE BURRITO IS GOOD. The employees were very nice and kind, though. I don't know any of them and it seems like the whole crew is new, so this is absolutely not about them. But the only reason 8th & Roast remained on my personal breakfast map was that burrito. And now it's gone. RIP 8th & Roast breakfast burrito. 2017-2020. You were too good for this world.

Got my caffeine fix here before heading home from the Athens area. Good stuff!…read more First off, just so no one gets confused, this coffee is sold inside the UG White Mercantile building! The signage is pretty good outside, but it never hurts to share information. Parking wasn't too much of a challenge on a Tuesday downtown, and the cool interior of the building felt great after the short walk over. The mercantile store offers a lot of cool things to browse while your coffee is made. There's also an (unaffiliated, I think) chocolate/confection selection that's quite beautiful and impressive. Second off, let me just say I'm kind of obsessed with the branding here. It's got a plane motif and the catchphrase "your morning wingman" for coffee is just too cute. I saw this company is veteran owned; I wonder if Air Force? Not sure, but the concept is adorable regardless. Their barista seemed to be ringing a mercantile customer up when I arrived. He was very apologetic about not being right with me. It was not a huge deal at all (I waited less than 2 minutes), but I appreciated his eagerness to help me. Great service! I ordered a medium iced salted caramel + dark chocolate latte, one of their recommended flavor combos. It came in a cute cup and the ice : coffee ratio was perfect. I didn't get much dark chocolate flavor but the caramel was there for sure. It was a very creamy, thick latte with a balanced flavor. Personally, I like my lattes a tiny bit sweeter, but I'm definitely a sugar freak when it comes to coffee, so YMMV! Overall, it was yummy and I'm glad I stopped in. Give this place a go next time you need a caffeine boost!
