Highly recommend this coffee. I bought a bag of their Tennessee Harvest and it was delicious. Definitely going to order more from them.

Fuel So Good Coffee Roasters - Smaller sized iced latte with chocolate mint syrup

Fuel So Good Coffee Roasters

It's not a road trip without a stop for coffee to fuel for the way home. Fuel So Good wound up…read morebeing that stop on my recent visit to Tullahoma. The signage is fairly nondescript and I drove past the place looking for it. Had to pull into a neighboring business lot and turn around and go back. It's small on the inside and weirdly dim despite decent-sized windows. Definitely need a computer or a Kindle with backlighting if you were going to read or work here comfortably. It's a somewhat small space that just feels a little awkward, like another reviewer mentioned. It was clean though. Service wasn't effusively friendly and didn't greet me or ask if I had any questions as I perused the menu, but their tone was polite and warm enough when I actually placed my order. I got a smaller sized iced latte with chocolate/mint syrup as I love a good peppermint-type mocha and many places only have them around the winter holidays. I also nabbed a banana chocolate chip muffin because that's one of my favorite muffin flavors. My drink was made very quickly. No one offered to heat up the muffin but I wouldn't have said no if they had, lol. Oh well, not a big deal. The muffin was really good and likely would've been even better with some melty chips. Definite strong, fresh, real banana taste (even some gooey banana-y bites) and lots of big chocolate chips inside tender, soft cake. The drink was...less good. It was giving much less chocolate and mint and much more watery Colgate. Mint is always a risky flavor add-in and unfortunately this fell on the wayyyy too heavy side, such that it was all I could taste, overwhelming not just the chocolate and milk but also the coffee. I didn't drink much of it. If I were to return, I'd definitely re-up on the muffin but try a different flavored syrup, lol.

I always stop by when I'm in town. Great coffee and food selection. Everything I've tried here has…read morebeen pretty good. Service is OK, not friendly & just a little awkward. The cafe itself is small but cute inside with some seating to dine in. They also have a drive thru option. Definitely worth stopping by if you're in town & need a coffee fix.

Mad Priest Coffee Roasters - The Confessional

Disappointed. I've had MP coffee before and thought it was good, but i just had what the barista…read moresaid was a medium\light roast which was really a dark roast. It was bitter without the brightness one would expect from a medium\light roast. I also had a chocolate chip muffin which was very gooey and sticky as if it were underbaked. The taste was okay, but the texture ruined it for me. They do have good customer service.

I absolutely adored this place…read more Drinks - I had the chance to try two different drinks on this visit. The first was an iced matcha with a little added blackberry. It was really smooth and a very nice quality. The second drink was an iced latte from their specialty menu that had been renamed for a special event I was attending. I loved the flavor of the coffee, so much so that I grabbed some of their beans to take home as well. Merch - There was a great selection of merch from the company and local artisans as well. The stickers and mucus has some really cool designs. Staff - the baristas were some of the nicest people. Not only were they slinging drinks and working the event, but they were just amazingly personable and kind to all of our group. Location - most importantly though was the stunning location. The furniture, decor, vibe and even the commitment to theme through the bathrooms was everything. Even the confessionals booth was just perfect. Overall it is definitely a visit, and I will be back.

Hi-Plane Coffee Company - Hot Chai

Got my caffeine fix here before heading home from the Athens area. Good stuff!…read more First off, just so no one gets confused, this coffee is sold inside the UG White Mercantile building! The signage is pretty good outside, but it never hurts to share information. Parking wasn't too much of a challenge on a Tuesday downtown, and the cool interior of the building felt great after the short walk over. The mercantile store offers a lot of cool things to browse while your coffee is made. There's also an (unaffiliated, I think) chocolate/confection selection that's quite beautiful and impressive. Second off, let me just say I'm kind of obsessed with the branding here. It's got a plane motif and the catchphrase "your morning wingman" for coffee is just too cute. I saw this company is veteran owned; I wonder if Air Force? Not sure, but the concept is adorable regardless. Their barista seemed to be ringing a mercantile customer up when I arrived. He was very apologetic about not being right with me. It was not a huge deal at all (I waited less than 2 minutes), but I appreciated his eagerness to help me. Great service! I ordered a medium iced salted caramel + dark chocolate latte, one of their recommended flavor combos. It came in a cute cup and the ice : coffee ratio was perfect. I didn't get much dark chocolate flavor but the caramel was there for sure. It was a very creamy, thick latte with a balanced flavor. Personally, I like my lattes a tiny bit sweeter, but I'm definitely a sugar freak when it comes to coffee, so YMMV! Overall, it was yummy and I'm glad I stopped in. Give this place a go next time you need a caffeine boost!
