I've walked past this place many times but finally decided to stop in. It was the best find ever! They have some of the best coffee and breakfast I've ever tasted. I personally got the breakfast burrito and it was sooo good and flavorful. I'm also a big fan of their breakfast potatoes. The coffee tasted really good and fresh. There was a little wait but they do have a waitlist once you are there. All of the food came out quickly. Overall its a cute little restaurant tucked in the streets of old St.Charles.

This time of year on Main Street in Dr. Charles is so festive. My cousin and I met at this establishment for brunch. They are in a new location and it's very beautiful. The charm of the historic building is well represented. It was busy and we did have to wait to place our order. I'll give them a pass this time since there was a 5K race ending and it's a popular time of year. Their breakfast potatoes were good, but were served a bit on the cool side. I also had the french onion soup. This was very delicious and I'm picky on any soup. I think it should be a food group. It's worth a try and I hope they bring back the chicken potpie soon. That is the meal that keeps me coming back.

My friend and I came here on a Saturday for some breakfast and coffee. I got a toffee nut latte and it was delicious! To eat I got the hot honey chicken biscuit. The chicken was really good with the honey and it had good flavor but the biscuit was a bit dry. I was a bit disappointed because it was just the chicken and biscuit, nothing else. I got the potatoes on the side with cheese, bacon, sour cream and onions. The potatoes were so good and I recommend getting them with all the things on them! I brought my 9 month old and the waitress offered me a high chair and I felt like there was plenty of room around the table for it without feeling crowded.

Beautiful space, decorated well and a very friendly staff! We ordered a couple of breakfasts and my wife's poached eggs came out hardboiled. The serves were great and took care of it, including having one of the redone eggs have to be redone again! My wife was so embarrassed, but they insisted on redoing them u til they got them correct (cooked, but runny). They laughed and joked with us and made the entire experience great. Good was all tasty and a good value for the price and environment! Would love to come back and try more options and see the servers (Megan and Jen) again!

This is THE BEST place for breakfast/brunch in St Charles. Come at me... Seriously though. The food here is wonderful. Full of creative, scratch made signature dishes, created with QUALITY ingredients and delivered to your table with great service. I can't get away from the bomb burrito. Eggs, cheese, chorizo, and beef short rib meat. Soooo good. Served with the house potatoes, which are very simple, but prepared to absolute perfection!!!!! Now they're frying them in beef tallow. Yes. There's only a couple of places in StC that care enough to do this. No crappy vegetable oils here!! It's a somewhat small space, and can get busy at peak times on Fri, Sat, Sun, so be aware of that. BUT ITS WORTH THE WAIT!!!! The coffee drinks are also on point lots of great options to add a latté or cappuccino to your meal. Great place, usually our first choice for breakfast or lunch in St.Charles.

Cute little place, limited seating. We got there around 10am on a Sunday, were seated quickly. Good menu selection, ice latte was excellent. Breakfast sandwich was good, but needed a sauce or spread. Belgian waffle was excellent. Would definitely go again when we can sit outside on the patio.

This place is charming, quaint, has an upscale ambience that makes your breakfast or lunch experience all the more enjoyable. The staff were very friendly, fast and efficient. Looking for a cozy, inviting venue? Head to Frontier Perk Cafe! Our visit was on a Sunday morning for a new venue for breakfast and it was perfect! This is located on Main Street in St Charles and is beautifully designed. Exposed brick to large booths and great wood flooring. We were greeted at the door and shown o a large booth in the back. The menus had a variety of signature items as well as traditional breakfast fare. My group enjoyed different items and they all arrived beautifully plated. From homemade quiche to a "stack" that looked to good to eat! Frontier Perk Cafe is open daily til 3pm and the menu looked to have great lunch options too. There was also a menus with "specials" and that looked seasonal so those items will change. I can't wait to visit again! Free street parking available as well as various free parking lots nearby.

Phenomenal selection of items and charming ambiance. Because of Covid-19, tables were spaced so diners could chat and be safe. Their COBB SALAD is a dream that comes in a bowl. WE LOVE this place. John and Ashley have really created a wonderful addition to the Main Street. Their coffee offerings are delicious - we are addicted to their cold brew, specifically, but it's all great. We are working our way through the menu, but we have two favorites that we keep ordering over and over again - the shrimp po'boy and the shrimp tacos. The po'boy is on deliciously soft and flavorful bread and the remoulade sauce is perfect. And the fresh mango salsa/slaw makes the shrimp tacos SING! read more

What a cute place. Food was great and service spectacular . I love my Cuban Coffee. Yum. Hope they get a bigger dining room, its pretty small, but I will very much be back. Stopped here on mothers day because it seemed to be the only place serving breakfast we could find. How lucky were we! OMG! We had the quiche, the breakfast potatoes, the avocado toast with salmon, the pancakes, the Cobb salad, the meat patty, and some desserts. Every single thing was delicious! We are a picky bunch and one of us finds fault with everything. Nothing!!! Couldn't find fault with anything!!! I will eat here every time I'm in St Charles. Can't wait to go back and try something else!!! Service was great! Everyone was friendly including the chef who came out to say hi because we raved so hard to her hubby, who served us! I can't say enough about this place, except make it a stop for yourself. read more

I picked up a go order consisting of the best chicken pot pie and carrot cake I've had since my grandma passed in the early 80's. Nice and friendly owners. Very clean. I was wearing gloves because of the corona and so were they. I appreciated that as I take the social distancing seriously. I'll be back! read more

Stumbled upon this place in early afternoon. We were hungry and they had breakfast items. Best choice ever. Great new coffee shop in Historic St. Charles! They have only been open a week, but you would never know it. Cute small space and full menu. I had a much anticipated Mocha, and it was served in a thick mug with pretty foam art on the top. Delicious, and I am picky about my mochas. I also had the avocado toast, which was very tasty. An order has 2 slices of bread cut in quarters....the bread was delicious. Only comment is it could have been toasted a little longer. We will definitely be back here. An added plus...the music was classical/jazz/easy, which makes the atmosphere of this little gem of a coffee shop more endearing. read more

After two visits (breakfast and lunch), the food is amazing! The staff is incredibly friendly. The Cuban Meat Pies and all things pastry... WOW! If there were any negatives, it would be they might need a few more hands helping out and outdoor seating would be great, but let's be honest, I'm stretching to find a negative. We'll be back! Was in the area and was looking for the best breakfast spot near me and this cafe came up. We were surprised on the location but don't let it fool you, it's incredible. It's a small area but the service and food make up for it. We had the paradise punch for a drink and it tasted great. Got the seasonal special which were Mahi mahi sliders and the breakfast tacos. Both were great and the elderly man in the front was a great help. Definitely come here. read more

There is no excuse for a to go order to sit for 15 minutes. I asked if it was my order when I saw it they told me no. I moved to a different part of the restaurant and then they told me it was mine 15 minutes later. I watched as orders were not delivered to tables properly as part of the parties received their food and the other parties waited 15 minutes to get there food. These kinds of mistakes will make people not want to come back. The food is very good I just hope they fix the other issues. read more

My buddy and I decided to come here for lunch today and wow.... we will be back. One of the owners took our order and he was nice and joked with us. I got the shrimp po' boy and so did my buddy. They were very reasonably priced and it was easily one of the best things I've ever eaten. Big fresh fried shrimp over fresh lettuce and tomato covered in red pepper sauce. It was incredible. The house chips were great too. Highly recommend this place. It will definitely be my lunch stop of choice when I'm on main. Also, the Carmel Mocha is amazing. read more

Great little place on Main Street. The scratch biscuits and gravy were the best we have ever had. The honey hot chicken biscuit was excellent with a nice little kick to it. We also had the pecan cinnamon roll warmed up - too good! Others in the store raved over the breakfast burrito - we will get that next time. Highly recommend this place. read more

Great place and nice to see more businesses like this opening up with the halving of Saint Charles Main Street being converted to bars. High quality food and drinks that from what I see are largely house made with a drive for high quality (which can definitely be seen in the French Onion Soup and Pumpkin Latte). Absolutely amazing place! My mom and I were hoping to sit outside somewhere to eat brunch on Saturday morning and brought our pup but unfortunately they didn't have outdoor seating but the customer service and good made up for it and some! My mom hit it off with the owner and he was so sweet. We ordered biscuits and gravy (craving it because we got the little cold front) and the sausage breakfast sandwich to split. The B&Gs were the best I've ever had and the breakfast sandwich was so yummy, as well as, the baby potatoes it came with (so crispy)! We ended up getting it to go with coffees and sitting on a bench by the river, GREAT EXPERIENCE read more

Love this place. Great food. Great coffee. However, John really needs to hire more people. If you order a coffee, you won't get it for 10 - 20 minutes. Whenever we go in there, people are commenting on how slow things are or how they almost feel like they should go to the kitchen and help. Great place to go, but only if you have time. read more

The man at the counter was so helpful and patient as we walked up and down ogling the many selections. We bought the gooey butter filled, red velvet cream cheese, original glazed, iced red velvet, cinnamon twist, cinnamon roll, a cherry cheese danish AND a cotton candy ice cream shake. EVERYTHING. EVERY. SINGLE. ITEM. was delicious. We bought it to go, but we did sit down in the very clean and tidy restaurant area to eat one each before hitting the road. We'll definitely be back often, even though it's a bit of a drive. It's worth it.

Unfortunately, they forgot to add the toffee nut crumbles but the drink looked pretty lol. However, It was just okay overall, and I probably wouldn't order it again. My cousin kept it simple with grits and toast, and she enjoyed her meal. The server was friendly, the food arrived quickly, and the ambiance was calm and welcoming. Overall, we had a good experience, and I would return next time I'm in town.

It's definitely not fine dining, but it's the perfect place for a meal and a cold one. There was a dart league setting up for a tournament while we were there and the staff knew several people by name. I'd recommend it, if your around. As a bonus bring your laundry and have the laundromat next door wash and fold it as you relax. A decent place for regular, salt of the earth people.
