This is the worst carrier hands down! I can't even describe the atrocities I encountered at the hands of frontier policies. $366.00 for two checked bags and one carry on. You read that right. The employees were screaming at us as we tried to get to gate after being delayed in baggage check due to downed system. Telling us to run, hearing them say 'this is F'n ridiculous as patrons made it to gate. Farthest gate at O'Hare. Only to wait on the plane for 90+ minutes after being screamed at to run to the gate. We made it just a bit later than scheduled, that's about as good as it got. Some reason their bag policy is 10lbs lighter than everyone else's, and just like the other badly reviewed airlines they don't let you bring a carry on u lnless you pay for their best seats. I'm only 5'11 and there was absolutely no leg room. No free snacks or water on a 3 hr flight too. I truly don't understand how in 2025 we have airlines like this that are so much worse than airlines 10 years ago. And of course the plan was late, gate changed, and arrived late, but at this point that's expected with these airlines. read more

An absolutely horrible experience. I'm in Miami for work with my affiliated university and my admin booked a return flight on Frontier (F9 4916). The airline delayed out take off by over two hours and then canceled late I to the leaving us all scrambling and stranded until Thursday at the earliest. Book with Delta or American Airlines instead, Frontier is not worth it you pay in you time stollen and stress in scrambling to figure out a solution. read more

So I call to find out why and see if we can still make this happen because I have fu get home to work the next day. They first said that it was canceled due to weather. So I had no choice but to book another flight on another airline. I told them that I would like a credit and all of my money back since I am being wildly inconvenienced. Flight got cancelled and delayed 12 hours, lost and entire day and when we finally arrived at the airport our bag was missing. On day 3 of our trip, and our bag is still not here. We contacted them several times since we reported the bag missing, and we have been met with confused, unhelpful representatives. What a joke of an airline. Never experienced such unhelpful and rude customer service. We have already had to spend hundreds of dollars on basic needs and can't even enjoy our trip that we have had planned for months. Efficiency is not a thing for Frontier. I have flown budget airlines in Europe and had much better experience than with Frontier. Flight to Cancun from Chicago. Boarded and ready to go. Only to be told that there is no water on the plane and that Chicago airport water froze. Worst experience ever! I was traveling with my four year-old granddaughter coming back from Puerto Rico. Everything was fine until we were getting off the airplane. I turned my back to get my luggage from cabin above one seat behind me. When I turned around and with the luggage she was gone. As I ran towards the exit, there was no flight attendant there, so I ran off the plane, still not finding her screaming help if anybody saw a little girl. But nobody came to my aid I kept on screaming out to her and the guy that was sitting next to me, turned back from the lobby and brought her back to me. I was in panic mode and in shock! Poor service performance, lack of accountability and responsibility. I booked a nonstop direct flight Orlando to Philadelphia; while waiting at the gate , 20 mins before scheduled departure (6pm), flight is cancelled. No weather or plane mechanical problems. The crew maxed out on work time, Frontier had no replacements. I called Frontier customer service, rescheduled the next earliest available flight ( next day departure 10:18 pm). Agent on phone says she will request hotel voucher for overnight say, but final hotel arrangements are done by customer service/ticket counter. Ok, walk back out security, retrieve baggage, go to customer service/ticket counter: " Sir, yes your flight has been rescheduled tomorrow night, but we do NOT make or finalize hotel arrangements from the counter here. You must call Frontier customer service by phone... you were misinformed". Now, I get customer service on the line, agent states again that Frontier personnel at the counter finalize hotel arrangements. See the picture --- " classic run around", no accountability, no responsibility. Ok, lines are long, hundreds of other cancellations, anxious to get a room before all the hotels in area get fully booked. Great ! I get hotel room booked at Doubletree Hilton Orlando airport ( discount rate incl. taxes and fees $127). Get settled at hotel, eat, then at 9:11 pm (over 3hrs. after flight cancellation) , I get email notification from Frontier " you have $100 hotel voucher for Springhill hotel. " Fast forward, finally get to Philly (2 am ), flight unable to deplane until 30 minutes after arrival. Get home, sleep, but later contact Frontier customer service again, follow their instructions and make a formal request for reimbursement via email plus add a screen shot copy of hotel receipt as directed. Next day I receive a Frontier response: " unfortunately Frontier is unable to provide me a reimbursement ( any reimbursement) since we had provide a hotel voucher of $100 with Springhill hotel. Remember: 1) Frontier agents from two different areas of the company were giving conflicting stories. 2) I received notification a hotel voucher 3 hours after flight cancellation. This situation is a perfect reason why Frontier Airlines ranks last among U.S. airline surveys. Frontier is a " penny wise , but a pound foolish". I tried Frontier Airlines once before was dissatisfied then, tried to give them another chance. I WILL NO LONGER BE A CUSTOMER OF FRONTIER AIRLINES,. I do not recommend Frontier. My last 6 flights with frontier have been delayed over an hour. I was asked to move from my assigned seat because it was exit row for the reason that I didn't pay for it. Even though my ticket said it was my seat. The exit row remained empty the whole flight. I had was asked to pay extra for me bag that strap barely poked out of the sizer. I threw items away from my bag to make it smaller (clothes, toiletries) as then told that wasn't necessary with a rude tone and that I would still have to pay for bag even though it was half the size and fit easily in sizer. Absolutely awful customer service, between me and my boyfriend we bought in total 8 flights (including our layovers) they delayed our flight and made us miss our final destination, we missed 6 FLIGHTS, they gave us a refund for ONE, i called and was on the phone for over an hour and asked to speak to their supervisor multiple times and kept telling me to hold on for 2 minutes, and when she came back all she did was ask me more questions, the supervisor NEVER came. And didn't receive our bag until Sunday the 21st. We were told to buy toiletries and clothes. Save receipts for reimbursement. That's not th3 case the refunded 75 for the bag. Which isn't even the total amount we paid to check it. And now they won't reimburse for the items we had to purchase while across the county without our bag. Complete fraudulent Airline that makes a flying portapotty look like a luxury airline. We planned a 1 week in Guatemala and we had a MDW-GUA ticket for march 9th with a 8h layover in MIa (and return). In MIA we were told 2 hours before our MIA-GUA sehment that the flight was canceled (for weather related reasons - a complete lie as all other United and AA flights were on time) and the ticket agents actually thought this was funny. Frontier only flies the MIA-GUA route once a week. We were offered no alternate options NOTHING. We were told we should be happy to be in MIA as it was a great place to spend our vacation. THEY BASICALLY DUMED US IN MIA with NO alternatives NOTHING. Turns out they had not flown that route since February 12th and CANCELED EVERY WEEKLY FLIGHT FOR WEATHER REASONS. To continue our vacation, we had to purchase last minute tickets on reputable airlines (AA and UNITED). To this date, we have NEVER been able to speak to customer service (with the exception of their AI-CHATBOTS). WE HAVE NOT GOTTEN ANY REIMBURSEMENT, NO APOLOGIES. We have filed a DOT case but my advice: SO NOT FLY THIS shitshow of an AIRLINE and they are NOT A LOWCOST. I received an email from Frontier that informed me tha a flight I had booked had been recheduled. The original flight was to leave Philadelphia at 12:32pm EST and arrive in Chicago at 1:46pmCST. The new booking was for a flight leaving Philadelphia at 6:15AM EST, arriving in Chicago at 8:30PM Cst, with a 7.5 hour layover in Denver, thus changing a 2 hour trip into a 15 hour trip. When paying for tickets, we had purchased carry ons. When we arrived, they said we did not pay and wanted us to pay again. We showed them that the bags have been purchased and they supposedly left a note saying they were bought so when the passes were scanned, we would not have problems. Later on, we had to pay for our carry ons while we were in line, about to board our flight. Good afternoon, My family and I flew Frontier to Cancun on July 16th. We returned on July 22nd. Your gate agents, Lizeth Vargas (P455749), Eugenia Juarez (P17449) and Daniela Pena (P44972) treated my 80 year old mother rudely and disrespectfully. My mother's carry on fit the measurements. She had no problem on the flight to Cancun. Prior to our return flight, I asked the youngest agent (Eugenia?) if it would be possible for my 16 year old to get a seat closer to my husband. She looked at the other agent (Lizeth?) and said something to her in Spanish. She looked at me and rudely said, "No! You have to pay for that. Anyway, it's too late now! We're boarding. You should have done that before we started boarding. You can't do it now." I was offended by the tone she used to speak to me. However, I wasn't going to pursue it. When we were boarding, the gate agent (Daniela?) rudely addressed my Mother and said, "You can't bring that bag on the plane." I asked what was wrong. She said it wasn't the same size as the carry-ons that my daughter, husband and I had. My mother's carry-on was 22 inches. Ours were 20 inches. One of the other agents (Eugenia?) said it was at the discretion of the flight crew. We said that would be fine. If they said it wouldn't fit in the overhead bin, we would check it. We tried to explain that to Daniela. She looked at my mother and told her she had to pay $99 for the bag or not get on the flight. The other agent (Lizeth) kept demanding the money. We were stuck on the plane for over an hour waiting for a gate. This has been a reoccurring problem with Frontier. I have tried again and again to give Frontier another chance but this has happened to me on my last 3 flights with this company.Frontier schedules their flights unrealisticlly without enough room for turnover. The flight that was stuck at our gate was scheduled to depart at 8:49 then our flight to land at 9. How do they possibly think 10min is enough for turnover? One problem quickly causes a domino effect resulting in many flights being delayed. Its absolutely unacceptable as a major airline to have people waiting for more then a hour in cramped airplane after a 3 hour flight and offered no compensation besides a tiny glass of water. Frontier Clearly has no care for their customers time and I will no longer be flying with Frontier in the future. The "affordability" is not worth it because the airline has no respect for you or your time, id much rather pay double what I paid for this flight to not have to deal with Frontiers horrible business practices. I was double charged for a carryon bag and when I called customer service they did nothing but stand up for the fraudulent gate agent at ORD airport. I will NEVER fly Frontier even if they are giving free rides out of an apocalypse. They are something else. The area by the gate in ORD was orderly but the male gate agent was a quick scam artist on me. Don't do it is my recommendation. The prices for tickets are low and you have to pay for everything and in my case they scam you for the same bag on the same flight and then wash their hands on helping you. Stay on the main airlines is my recommendation where you know what's up and they may refund and comp you for their errors. The customers scream talk down the aisles on the plane just unruly like Spirit airlines. Also, there was an argument on my flight between the gate agent that scammed me and a man that couldn't get seating next to a family member.
