5 stars for United Airlines. This is my favorite airline of all time to take anywhere honestly. The screens on the back of the seats are great, and it's so cool that you can watch TV/Movies and in flight navigation is very neat to follow the plan as you fly. I've never really had big delays/flight time changes/cancellations with them or customer service issues - so I'll always fly them if the price and time is the best. read more

Do not ever fly with United airlines. I would give no stars if it was an option. Made me, my daughter, and her 9 month old baby run through Chicago airport (which was a 16 minute walk to the gate from which we got off) to meet our connecting flight to which ended boarding and left us and ten other people stranded there. When I called the representative rebooked me for a flight already boarding and me not knowing it was a twenty minute walk (for which we ran again) from the gate we were currently at so guessss what we missed that one too. My checked bag however made it to the first flight and was sent to Syracuse airport without me. After the second missed flight I was told that I had to wait for a flight in the morning. Hellllll nooo am I staying in Chicago and paying for a hotel to comeback to this shithole again in the morning. I was never, by any rep or agent, offered compensation to stay anywhere or food. We had not eaten or had a drink due to the running and trying to get home. So in a panic and in tears I went to American Airlines as my last hope. They were able to get me on their 8:30pm flight back to Syracuse. When I got to Syracuse I could not find my bag. Now my bag supposedly made it to the airport before I did so they are saying American Airlines is responsible for any compensation because they were MY final carrier. They never touched my bag?! How does that make sense? I bought a ticket for American after my bag had already left on YOUR aircraft! Now they are trying to tell me I have to go back to the airport to get it and won't have it delivered to my house or nearby airport?! Crazy! United Airlines has stolen $1189.05 from me! In October 2023 I bought first class tickets from United for a round trip flight from PDX to IAH and back. I'm disabled so I have to pay for first class to sit in a seat with enough leg room. I'm also a senior with limited income. In December 2023 I became deathly ill with an infection in my jawbone. I had to cancel the flight. I was told I could change to a later date. I believed them and did not request a refund. In 2024 my son in Houston came to Portland for Christmas so I did not travel in 2024. This year, 2025, I went to united.com to make a reservation for this December. My $1189.05 changeable ticket had disappeared. I made online requests, called United and got the run around from one office to another. Finally, I got to a manager who looked into my request. I was denied from changing my "changeable" ticket to a December 2025 flight. I was told that I had failed to read the fine print that required that my changeable ticket was only good for one year. United didn't care about how ill I had been or that I'm on a limited income. They just stole my $1189.05 and added it their bank account. read more

a negate 100 rating. I have been trying for 3 months to get a reasonable from united. I wanted to use monies I had with United for a ticket. NOTHING in the United customer service documentation says that I cannot use it in the way I have requested. What I've asked United to do in no way affects United revenues. They do not care that they provide no information to the contrary to customers on the web site. United has cost me over $550 and has been rude the entire way. Further my customer care inquiries were answered by AI bots which is NO WAY provided any information relevant to my specific request. I have been a united customer for over 30 years. Just noting that United obviously DO NOT care. It does not matter that this trip is a trip of a life time or that I have a number of health issues that will restrict further travel ability. KNOWING this they have provided a future travel voucher. I have no words that can be printed here. read more

I was racially profiled for being white even though I am Native American.I was forced to throw my carry on bag away.Because they said my cat was my carry on even though they charged me a $160 extra for him.And I was supposed to have one carry on which was my bag that I had everything I owned in it.But they forced me to throw it away.Or I would have lost my flight back to california that is how they treat a disabled person, worst experience I've ever had.I've never been so humiliated. read more

Booked on UA Flight from our local airport to IAD on May 31st for a connecting flight on Lufthansa from IAD to Munich, leaving IAD around 10 pm, arriving Munich mid-day Saturday, then connecting flight to Rome, arriving around 3:00 pm Saturday June 1st. Flight from home airport to IAD was late, so UA agents told us to go home and return for the same flight on Saturday. We did so and again the flight was late. UA had us fly to IAD that night, spend the night in Washington, and then fly to Chicago on Sunday the 2nd, then catch a direct flight to Rome. Planned to arrive in Rome on Saturday afternoon, didn't arrive there till around 11:00 am Monday June 3rd. Paid for two nights at a VRBO that was not used and could not use the tickets purchased for Colosseum tour Monday, totaling over $520.00. UA refused to reimburse us. read more

I booked a flight on 2/19/25 through the United Airlines website. I purchased trip insurance through the United Airlines website. I had to cancel the flight on 3/1/25. United Airlines made it almost impossible to get it done. I had to talk to 7 different employees, each contradicting the other one. Then they want to charge me a cancelation fee of $100 for just the flight that originally cost me around $435 and not refund me at all for the rental car. Why did I get the trip insurance if I had to pay $100 and not get my money back for the car rental, I booked through them on a package deal. I wasn't asking to be passed off from employee to employee, they kept saying the problem was above them. Nothing got resolved and still flight out that day and I'm out of over $1000 and they make it about impossible to file a complaint online and I wasn't going to deal with 7 more agents read more

This is my third flight with United in the past 7 days. All flights have the WiFi, tv screens on the back of the seats and powers outlets. However, none of these have worked on any flight. On my first flight today they had no snacks or meals for anyone, including first class. United has been my preferred airline for years but not anymore. This week has put them last for me. I am going to close my United mileage plus card and start flying with other airlines. United you have completely lost all good customer service, clearly not keeping up with your planes, and have a total disregard for getting your passengers to their destinations on time. I've never had major issues with United Airlines before, but after this experience, I will no longer be flying with them. Our flight was delayed, which caused us to miss our connecting flight and it was our honeymoon no less. Instead of helping us rebook, United offered no real support and left us to figure it out on our own. We were forced to purchase another ticket out of pocket, and they have refused to refund us for the additional expense. This lack of accountability, integrity and care for their customers is unacceptable, especially when it directly contradicts their own corporate mission and values statements listed on their website. Because of this, we will not be booking with United again and will be canceling their rewards credit card. It's incredibly disappointing to see such poor customer service from an airline we've trusted in the past. one time, i was on a transfer. they didn't load 2 of my bags on. it would've been fine, IF IT WAS THE TRANSFER HALF AN HOUR AFTER THE FIRST FLIGHT. the flight was 4 HOURS after the last one. they had 4 hours to put the bags in the plane. and it's not because too many people checked their luggage, no. they were BEGGING people to check luggage. because of this, i had to uber home, because the car keys were in the checked luggage. other then that it was an amazing flight. wth, 2 stars. read more

we had a flight on United leaving CLT on July 13th 2025 leaving about 7 am, @1:00am I receive a text stating my flight was delayed leaving at 11am, long story short and approx. 4 text later flight was cancelled and we were rebooked on a flight leaving Monday morning at 7am. Needing to be back at work Monday morning, we went to CLT United ticketing desk to see what/if/how to work this out. When getting to the counter a gentleman named kazeer wiggins started to help, ended up telling we missed our flight it had already left and we were receiving misinformation cause our flight was through Chicago, not Houston. After showing him our itinerary, he told us that it was wrong and to forget about Houston, it's closed. He reached out to the customer service line, where he was apparently told nothing, you can do, we were stuck, at which point I asked if we received a hotel and he said he didn't know how to do it, while on hold he started scrolling his phone, walking away from us while asking questions and holding onto my driver's license. During this I asked my wife to go check other airlines and when she returned as I waited for the hotel voucher, she shared Southwest could get us home about midnight, at which time he asked the price and then referred to me as fool for considering paying more money to fly home, at which I barked back. "did you just call me a fool?", and he replied "yes I did", which didn't go over well, at which time the lady next to him tried to step in and de-escalate the scenario and asked me to just talk to her, but he kept barking about me being a fool and how I need to learn respect and how my parents failed in raising me by not teaching me something I should've had been learning my whole life. I'm a 63 year old man raised very well by my parents and am a father of children raised much better than him. He then told the associate trying to get s a hotel to "hang up and don't give them that." second time thry lie about refunding you. earlier i was promised money to my card becsuse of a rule that gives you a sertain amount of cash back, if theres a delay for a sertain amount of hours, or a cancellation. after weeks and weeks and promises that the money was on the way it just "happend" to be that the billing dep needed all sort of nr from the card and names and adr and what not, so i just took the travel credit instead, that they had "alsow" offered. now after some hours on chat to change a flight, i asked if theyd refund the change fee because of a misstake made, and the time it took. yea no problem. money would be back with a sertain amount of time. after some weeks im told that no we cant refund the change fee because that would cancel the flights. yea, or maybe just dont wana pay. i anyway would think what's beeing said by agents working for united should be binding. but starting to see how it works over there. or "not" works. read more

Chicago O'Hare United Airlines ticket kiosk assistants are very rude and racist. While trying to obtain my boarding pass, the red light began blinking with a message indicating to wait for an assistance agent. After waiting for more than 10 minutes, I proceeded to the regular ticket line, only to be instructed to return to the kiosk. The red light blinked again during the process, leading to another 10-minute wait for assistance. Frustrated, I sought out United Airlines kiosk helpers, and two of them instructed me to wait, but they eventually moved away without helping. After locating the third person and asking for assistance, she caused a scene by speaking loudly and told me to wait once more. I was forced to search for yet another person to finally get the help I needed. read more

Leading up to our trip, we kept receiving email confirmations that everything was on time no issues at all. Then, the moment we arrived at the airport, we were blindsided with an email saying our flight was CANCELLED. No warning. No heads-up. Just canceled. The only options given were to rebook or take a refund. The earliest available rebooking wasn't until Tuesday, which completely ruined our plans, so we were forced to take a refund and book last-minute tickets with United Airlines costing us significantly more money out of pocket. We were told our baggage would be transferred to our return flight, which added to the confusion and stress. Unfortunately, it didn't end there. On our way back from Puerto Rico, we were scheduled again for a 12:29 PM flight. Throughout the day, we kept getting delay notifications one after another until the last update pushed the flight all the way to 2:59 AM. We waited, checked in, and then unbelievably the flight was CANCELLED again. At that point, there was little to no help from staff. We were told to go to the Spirit desk, leaving us scrambling around the airport, trying to figure out how to retrieve our luggage from baggage claim, rebook flights, and then go back through TSA all over again. It was chaotic, exhausting, and completely disorganized. Once again, no available flights until Monday or Tuesday. Rebooking with Spirit would have meant more delays, more uncertainty, and more money wasted with zero guarantee the flight wouldn't be canceled AGAIN. So we had no choice but to request another refund and book with United Airlines spending even more money just to get home. This entire experience was stressful, expensive, and completely avoidable with proper communication and customer support. Spirit Airlines showed zero reliability and zero accountability. Never EVER flying with Spirit again. The "cheap" price is not worth the headache, the risk, or the extra costs you'll end up paying in the end. My complaint is about the disrespectful and humiliating way I was treated. When I asked for the flight attendant's name, he refused to provide it. After landing, I went to Frontier Customer Service expecting someone to listen to my complaint. Instead, they refused to help me or direct me to a supervisor. This happened today, July 29, 2026, on Flight F9 67 from Punta Cana (PUJ) to Miami (MIA). No passenger deserves to be treated this way. This experience was humiliating and completely unacceptable. Frontier needs to do a much better job training its employees in basic customer service and respect.

As for the flight gate, it took me forever to find it due to lack of signage. As mentioned, I have never flown JetBlue, so the terminal was one I had never visited. What threw me off was the fact that the only terminal 2 signage I saw was for baggage claim. Eeek! I nearly missed boarding, but I kept on moving until I found the JetBlue gate. Now as for my onboard experience, I wanted to charge my phone as I slept on flight because my phone battery was low. I found that there were no power outlets at all which left me with no other option but to preserve my battery as much as I can enroute. I have to point out that it was unpleasant smelling smoke as the plane prepared to lift off from Chicago, Illinois. It was then, I started to take notice of how outdated everything appeared on this plane as my melatonin kicked in. I slept the majority of the flight, so I had little communication with the flight attendants other than the boarding flight hello, a flight attendant asking me if I wanted a snack as I woke up briefly, and the airplane departure goodbye greeting. And as for the airplane interior, the seat comfort was decent! I did have an acceptable amount of leg room, even with my backpack underneath the seat in front of me. I did love the image of the airplane hovering over states on the seatback television which I could not help but notice while awake. In spite of what the plane did not have, it did have access to XM radio stations & Direct TV channels. I survived this flight with JetBlue and would be open to flying with again, as well as recommending to a friend, relative or colleague after this experience. On the return, it was 17 hours in the air going from Hanoi back to ORD and again with a connection in Seoul. All in all, a very good experience and as been typical in our experience, Asian airlines are much much better than American airlines for long haul overseas trips. The biggest plus is that there is very good leg room in economy. The long flights still get a bit achy for my butt, but not much we can do there (if the economy seats were maybe 2" higher, it might have helped, but this is true for all of the airlines I think). We had a lot of their meals, and I would would rate the meals at about 4 stars airline quality, but the overall experience is still a 4.5+ rounded to 5. The movie and audio selections and controls were quite extensive and good. I watched 4 full movies on the first flight which was 15 hours! Their website works well for making and changing seat selections. All of the stewardesses were very courteous and very Korean with strong accents but it was all manageable. They knew when to keep the whole cabin dark, which was most of the time, and which helped with sleep time. Thank you and I wouldn't hesitate at all to fly with Korean Air Lines again.

The Korean food choices were, by far, the better meal options but, I was not overly impressed with the food. I did enjoy the free wine with my meals. The English movie selections seemed to be comprised of a few blockbuster hits, a few kid friendly choices, and a majority of lesser known and indie films, most of which I wouldn't watch if I weren't strapped to a seat for approximately 40 hours (round trip). However, there were many movie titles and I probably only watched about half of the offerings. When flying to Asia in the future, we will most likely fly Korean.

I flew on Emirates Airlines via O'Hare on my recent trip to India, with a layover in Dubai. And from the start, it became clear that this would be unlike other flights I've been on. We sat down in our seats to find a video screen in the back of the seat in front of us for our entertainment. OK, fine -- that's not revolutionary. But this had 150+ HD movies, including some new releases. I'm on a bit of a Marvel kick at the moment, and there was a section for pretty much every recent MCU movie. The video consul also had a plethora of TV shows to watch. Suddenly my 13-hour flight didn't look so bad. The flight attendants soon came around to give each passenger a zippered pouch containing an eye mask, ear plugs, socks, toothbrush and toothpaste. Definitely not too shabby. They also handed out menus for our flight. Considering this was an international flight, I was hoping we could get some meals on it. But these meals surpassed expectations. We got two full meals with a pizza snack during the longest legs of our trip. And the meals reflected our destination. The Indian and Middle Eastern fare was pretty delicious, with the chicken biryani and rice pudding being my faves. We also got free beer and wine on the trip, which helped a bit with trying to sleep on the flight. The chairs in coach were decently comfortable, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The planes appeared modern and clean. Whenever I go international again, I'll look to see if I can take an Emirates Airlines flight.

Upon checking, this flight is usually on time and this connection is usually doable, so I booked it! I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED, being my first intercontinental flight!! Our 1st flight from ORD to ADD actually took off early, as we started boarding 1 hr before the flight which was more than enough time. The agents that checked our bags before the Security Checkpoint came back to the gate to help with the Passenger Check-In, which went smoothly. Once on the flight, there were free movies & games you could play (even with other passengers) on your monitor ~ to your hearts delight on the 13.5 hr flight, which kinda made the time go faster in my opinion. Then the food was meal after snack after snack after meal ~ pretty decent (just okay), but it came in abundance and so often, you really couldn't complain too much. Any small mishaps on the plane or small requests on the flight were handled by the beautiful & lovely flight attendants and were very much appreciated. When it was time for us to deplane, they escorted us off quickly to catch our next 6.5 hr connecting flight. Each employee was whisking us away to the next employee then to the next then to the skycap that drove us in a lil' go-cart so fast down to our terminal, we almost got motion sickness! LOL Then we were off to a shuttle that drove us to our next plane that was still boarding on the tarmac! And guess what, all this happened within less than 20 minutes (as the first flight ended up being 20 minutes late, leaving us with only 20 minutes to catch our connecting flight) AND our checked bags made it on time with us also?!?!?! I cannot rave enough about Ethiopian Airlines from their customer service to timeliness to efficiency and can't wait to fly them again (going back home, so don't make me regret it, Guys)!

Now when I arrived to Chicago I decided to just take a carryon and not check any bags in. I arrived to the Ethiopian Airlines counter about 2 1/2 hours before the flight and saw the line was very very VERY long. I didn't see that many people working the counter. I thought to myself "Thank Goodness I don't need to check in a bag". I would've been scared I was going to miss my flight. Security was swift but the reason why I took a stars away was because the flight was not on time. We left almost an hour later and it was due to passport checks and I really feel like it was all from staffing issues. Timing is important. We landed a bit later than schedule as well. For me, I didn't have a phone in a new country so I was just hoping my friends and family would just get the update but it was a bit nerve wracking. The flight itself was pleasant. The flight attendants treated us like family and really took care of us. I would definitely fly Ethiopian Airlines again .
