Jumbo Idaho Omelette Side of bacon and home fries English muffin
    Jordyne S.

This was my first time here, and I have to say that the service, atmosphere and food were wonderful! I got the Idaho omelette with a side of bacon, home fries and an English muffin! Everything tastes like it's homemade.everyone was very welcoming. They were awfully busy but they got us in super fast.

Biscuits and gravy, French toast and a frittata. All great!

Nice local place with great food. Had to get a frittata at Frittatas, and it was great! Tried the French toast and biscuits and gravy, and they were very good too. Highly recommend!

Upside down Manhattan with a pork tenderloin, and their Farmer's Skillet!

Honestly, it's very seldom that I bother writing a review on here buttttttt...My SO brought me here for my birthday morning breakfast/lunch. I ended up getting one of their upside down Manhattans with a pork tenderloin. It was delicious! I love comfort food! It was still really good when I warmed it up for breakfast the next day. Also, the service was great! We didn't even have to ask for refills on our drinks, because our server basically read our minds and brought them out! I love when servers are observant! All in all, I had a great experience, and would definitely come here again!

As a State of Indiana employee, I attend Statehouse Market weekly but I can definitely get in a rut in terms of the vendors I choose. The Overgrown Pasture is a relative newbie, though they've been a fairly steady presence throughout this particular season. First off, they have a very cool truck. It's easily one of the more unique ones present and they've quickly become quite popular with that combination of a compelling presence and super friendly employees. I do believe the owner/co-owner was on the truck today and definitely makes you want to come back. They describe themselves as serving "farm fresh street cuisine." That's a great description. The menu was fairly simple with four major entrees - a Monte Cristo, a Pork Tenderloin, a Double Burger, and a Pulled Pork Cubano. They also offered half-pound sides of Mexican Street Corn and Kimchi Potato Salad. They also offered up some creative drink options. This really is just a fun vendor. While I usually go for burgers, I opted for the pork tenderloin. It's cajun roasted pork tenderloin, aged white cheddar, tomato jam, mayo, lettuce, tomato, on ciabatta. I requested it without the cheddar and that was not a problem. The price came in at $12 without a tip. They do take credit cards or cash. I'd be anxious to see how tenderloin connoisseurs feel about this one. It's certainly nowhere near a traditional tenderloin, though I liked it quite a bit. It was a little messier than expected and I hadn't grabbed napkins. The Cajun roasting made it feel lighter than I usually experience with tenderloin. It wasn't quite the best I've had, though I would definitely order it again. Sometimes, it seems like food trucks deliver much heavier food and this was a nice change of pace. The flavor combo was great. Part of me thinks I should go 4 stars, however, I really like the unique take on this sandwich and the flavor combo is a lot of fun. For me, that adds up to a 5-star when you add the terrific customer service. I really want to try the double burger. I might try the Pulled Pork Cubano. The Monte Cristo is outside my taste buds. The ordering process was a touch slow, though the food delivery was rather timely. On a hot day, that was nice. I couldn't find a lot about The Overgrown Pasture, though they do have a website and do seem to make appearances at a variety of events. They seem to be active on social media and I'm kind of surprised this is their first Yelp review. It looks like they regularly appear on the Kokomo and Whitestown areas - thus, my assumption is they are not based in Marion County. So, I'm definitely glad they come to Statehouse Market. I did see they will be at Gen Con in August. Overall, this was a terrific experience and I look forward to their return at Statehouse Market.

It was far from the limited menu and "See here is our brewery equipment" place. Researching their website, we were convinced this was the place to be on our "chasin' racin'" weekend. My companion noticed that the clientele was quite diverse. I noted that also. We both agreed it was a sign of a thriving establishment. Autumn was our server and she was a lot of fun. Conversant, knowledgeable of the menu, and attentive, she was just great. One of my sides was a Caesar Salad. It was copious to the point that I could not finish it when it was appropriately brought out ahead of time. As a diabetic, I am concerned about carbs, but the Alaskan Whitefish grabbed me . While my plate was messy, I peeled off the coating and enjoyed the nice tender fish inside. In Tennessee, corn pudding is different than what they brought me, but it was wonderful. Bread pudding of the day was S'mores. I had my fill, brought home the rest and my family loved it. Local history was abundant. The menu held an article on local history and the lobby had many historic photos of local interest. I took many photos of them for remembrance. Chances are I will never return to Kokomo. But if I do go back. This is where I will dine.

The restaurant is a cross between sports bar and family restaurant, we all real liked the atmosphere and service. Now for our reason for being there: the food. We started with the fried jalapeños and fried green tomatoes. Both were delicious. The tomatoes were heavily breaded and cooked soft. A nice crunch. The dips are house made and delicious. We all loved our meals. Excellent brisket. I brought smoked sausage back for my husband. He said they were great (and didn't share with me). The beer was delicious. Are we returning? A hard yes! Worth the trip.

The establishment is old and has dark wood from top to bottom, covered in Irish decor. We sat in a secluded area that honestly felt like we were on a boat. I got a Guiness on draft (because you HAVE to when you're at an Irish bar, right?). It was smooth and frothy. We got the pretzel bites and beer cheese (really good) and fried pickles. I got a french dip sandwich - which was on soft toast which made it really hard to dip in the au juis with fries (which were really cripsy and flavorful). Honestly, I've had better dip sandwiches so I wouldn't get it again however they have a very large menu and lots of Irish favorites. Will go back to the establishment for something else.
