The onion rings were also good, but the burgers are the stars here. I purchased a caramel Dutch apple pie slice to go. I'm not sure if it's served warm there, but I popped mine in the microwave the next morning and it was heavenly.

Most everyone else in our party got fried chicken, which they reported was very good. I was craving some pie and saw this sign that said Lisa's award winning pies. My first thought was…read morehmmmmm, that must be a sign that I need some pie in my life. My second thought was, I will be the judge of these "award winning pies. The shop is located off the US-31 in Atlanta, IN. Yes, there is an Atlanta in Indiana. It is CASH ONLY, and there is really no ATM close by. I had to go to the Loves Truck Stop, which was about 7 minutes away. The shop has an adequate size parking lot and you are required to wear a mask to enter the shop. The inside of the shop has a vintage feel. After my journey to the ATM, which felt like an hour to me. I was like these pies better be worth it. They had pies, of varying sizes, in display case, some of which are self serve. I will admit they did look and smell delicious. After a brief deliberation I decided to go with a small Key Lime Pie, and a caramel pecan banana bread. So, it took over an hour to get home and then it was the moment of truth. First, the banana bread, then a day later the Key lime. I will say they were both amazing. Almost life changing. They were so good, that I am not even mad about them being cash only anymore. I highly recommend checking this place out. I know, I know....it is far, it is cash only, you have to put on a mask..., but it is all worth it. You just have to plan your trip there, so you are prepared. Next time I go, I will be stocking up on Lisa's treats like a squirrel stocking up on acorns in the winter.
