Train Station Pancake House is a family owned, local restaurant that sells way more than pancakes. The menu is broad with hamburgers and tenderloins and prices are great. The restaurant is in a renovated train depot. The decor is a mix of styles. We were seated in a comfy booth by a window. Daily specials were listed on a board. Our server was attentive and friendly. She was busy with the lunch crowd, but managed to check on us frequently. I had a patty melt with a side salad. The salad was huge and fresh. The patty melt was covered in fabulous fried onions and melted cheese. It was a tasty and filling. My husband had the tenderloin with fries. The tenderloin was hand breaded and delicious, but could have used a bit more seasoning in the breading. The fries and pickles were good and lunch was filling. The restrooms are clean and gorgeous. There is ample parking in their private lot. I recommend and will definitely return. read more

Would not recommend!!! First and last time going. Takes our drink order and comes back with the drinks and still no high chair, meanwhile holding on to my two year old and trying to keep him from touching everything or running off. My boyfriend asked for a high chair again and this time the lady cleaning tables kindly got one for us and no apology from our waitress. Our waitress comes back for our food order and mid order runs off to grab sweetener for the other person with us and then takes the rest of the order quickly asking no questions about preferences. The food came out cold, the Mickey Mouse pancake was not even close to Mickey Mouse shaped and huge for a kids menu. Never once asked how we were doing, if we needed anything or how the food was. I would not recommend, they were not busy and there were plenty of people working at the time. Prices are somewhat high for the quality you get, I could have made better at home for less. Tables and decor is outdated and worn, but cute. Side note: they threw out a pair of someone's prescription eye glasses as well after two days. read more

The restaurant was closed on a Sunday morning when it was posted on Yelp and on the door they were open. Not sure if they're permanently closed or something happened but I didn't see a note. We're from out of town so it was inconvenient. read more

This was my first time eating at the Train Station. I arrived around 8:30am and was seated immediately. There were plenty of open seats. The breakfast was excellent. I had the Depot omelette with biscuit. The omelette had plenty of filling and was cooked perfectly. Sausage gravy was as good as any I've made. The biscuit, even though not made in house, was delicious and soft. My server was very attentive and kept the coffee coming. I'll definitely be eating here again whenever I get back to my hometown. I look forward to trying their lunch and/or dinner. read more

I thought I had reviewed this place when we were in town last in the fall. Came twice for breakfast and it was perfect. Breakfast portions are sizable and all the food was very good. Stopped in for lunch daughter got the chicken strips she said they were good. I got the patty melt good sandwich but the bread was to salty probably the toasted butter. Fries are generic and bland. The coleslaw i added was excellent. Wife got the fish sandwich was excellent, tater tots were good.. she agrees the coleslaw is excellent. read more

Popped in for lunch. The fried fish sandwich was great, tots were a perfect crisp, and the coleslaw was 1 of the best I've ate since being up north. Chicken trips were yummy, per my daughter. Best place in Marion for breakfast. Awesome service too. The pancakes are delicious. The biscuits and gravy are delicious.

The meal was hot and fresh. The atmosphere had the remnants of the former Mexican restaurant it was. The Diet Coke tasted watered down but she replaced it was an unsweetened tea that Aldo tasted watered down. Prices were very good. The atmosphere is noisy. My server was great, my food was great and they even had sugar free syrup. What they didn't have was any kind of milk other than whole milk and a lack of communication between servers. I would have rated this place a bit higher if I had not seen another server sweeping, ask her table if they needed anything and then proceeded to get them a to go container after switching the dustpan to her hand, while still holding both. Not once in-between did she wash her hands, but she did resume sweeping and went to get food for another customer. read more

This little pancake place is a great stop along the tracks in Marion, Indiana. It is your typical American pancake joint. Nothing fancy or flashy but a good value for a sit-down meal. This place is great. We come here often and the staff is always friendly. You always get your money's worth and the food is always fresh. Sometimes you might have to wait a little bit but it's always worth the wait. We have 2 small children and they love eating here. ( the skillets are my favorite). read more

I love to pop in for a breakfast on my day off. I bring a book and enjoy several cups of coffee as I slowly work on my huge breakfast. Whether it is the waffle, the French toast, or the skillets I usually can barely finish and that is when I am there a while. Delicious and large portions.
