First of all our waitress was unavailable to the attention span of a nat, in a hurry both visits and clearly a ghost who forgot to put the order in even. Twice super slow inside less than 6 tables. The assistant manager was better than the main manager, and the main manager in charge couldn't do simple math. We get our food after 45 min. The over easy eggs were swimming in slime. It was obvious from our seats that the cook was too busy texting on his phone to pay attention to the food on his flat top, not to mention the filthy phone he's touched has been in a bathroom and all over the place but in your hand while trying to cook....discusting!!!! Then 2 of the 3 meals to which were ordered crispy bacon, or over easy eggs and scrambled, was basically raw. Nasty!! Only one person got to eat, we were never asked if every thing looked ok because when she delivered it we told her that the bacon was supposed to be crispy and it was barely wet on the grill. The uniform of the staff had gross amounts of waste on front and filthy aprons. If they can't staff a good place they should be closed, do to unsafe and unsanitary conditions the Marion health department would host a field day if they were to come in. I hope tagging the health department in helps here. Then the manager who was I believe asian possibly didn't understand how to fix our bill she made a mistake. Instead of removing 2 inedible meals she tried changing 53.00, over the amount due. I mean holy crap she had no skills. Then I see where she took .06 cents off, not joking, she messed up....I said seriously your a manager??? She just took the bill and proceeds to try a third time to adjust the bill just fair and fails again....where we were being charged for the incorrect meal. At this point the manager should have eaten the entire bill after how long it took to get her to even do the simplest of tasks. ....we paid $21.00 after waiting 3 hours from beginning to end and trying to get them to use some attention to anything, then of course we see the cook on his filthy cell phone holding a spatula in the air. The best thing about this restaurant is that it stays open late. Pancakes and French toast are good. Eating a meat (bacon, sausage) here is bound to make your stomach queasy though. There is nothing extraordinary about this IHop. I gave it an extra star, because the waitress was actually decent this time around. Usually we wait forever and are less than satisfied when we realize how much we paid for the small servings of sides. My husband is the only reason we go and it's usually only once or twice a year. Took my kids there for breakfast. It's becoming a tradition for us right before a road trip. We were seated rather quickly, however, we sat there for over 10 minutes watching group after group get seated and receive service almost immediately. We were just ignored.
