    Tenderloin Sandwich
    Dennis R.

We had a wonderful waitress. She was attentive and helpful. The menu was filled local favorites. I had a good Indiana tenderloin, juicy and breaded just right. My wife had a stir fry salad that had a strange herb finish, It would be worth the trip to try out the Firewater Grill.

Tea and Arnold Palmer moonshine shots - Shot glasses containing yellow and brown liquids are arranged on a black tray, likely for tasting or serving at a bar or restaurant.

Great service and great food. They have a good selection of entrees to choose from. I recommend it to anyone.

Friendly service, Good Tenderloin and the homemade chips were fantastic. Only drawback was a limited menu.

Train Station Pancake House - Patty Melt with side salad

    Train Station Pancake House

Train Station Pancake House is a family owned, local restaurant that sells way more than pancakes…read more The menu is broad with hamburgers and tenderloins and prices are great. The restaurant is in a renovated train depot. The decor is a mix of styles. We were seated in a comfy booth by a window. Daily specials were listed on a board. Our server was attentive and friendly. She was busy with the lunch crowd, but managed to check on us frequently. I had a patty melt with a side salad. The salad was huge and fresh. The patty melt was covered in fabulous fried onions and melted cheese. It was a tasty and filling. My husband had the tenderloin with fries. The tenderloin was hand breaded and delicious, but could have used a bit more seasoning in the breading. The fries and pickles were good and lunch was filling. The restrooms are clean and gorgeous. There is ample parking in their private lot. I recommend and will definitely return.

My boyfriend asked for a high chair again and this time the lady cleaning tables kindly got one for us and no apology from our waitress. Our waitress comes back for our food order and mid order runs off to grab sweetener for the other person with us and then takes the rest of the order quickly asking no questions about preferences. The food came out cold, the Mickey Mouse pancake was not even close to Mickey Mouse shaped and huge for a kids menu. Never once asked how we were doing, if we needed anything or how the food was. I would not recommend, they were not busy and there were plenty of people working at the time. Prices are somewhat high for the quality you get, I could have made better at home for less. Tables and decor is outdated and worn, but cute. Side note: they threw out a pair of someone's prescription eye glasses as well after two days.

Next to us, a booth with approximately 4 to 6 people in it were having a conversation. One gentleman in the booth decided he wanted to use the f word four times within 3minutes. I ask him to please stop. And I ask him if he would use that kind of language around his children or his grandmother. His response was these are my kids. A A young girl, approximately ten years old was sitting in the boot, and I assumed that was his daughter. While talking with this gentleman, he became rather aggressive. And I stood up I just said please watch your language, please. I don't like it around my wife. At that time, one of the assistant managers at Texas Roadhouse came over and said we can't have this here and ask if I wanted to be moved. I informed her that we were not moving. And that if you wanted to move the other people that would be her decision. Later the main manager came up and spoke to us about the situation and apologized for the actions of his assistant. He stated that he did not believe that his assistant had acted in Malice. He then offered to comp a meal and I told him that was not necessary but if he felt that he we should do so that would be all right. While the manager did come back and talk to us and confidential and I appreciated those actions the main part was the actions of the other patron. Behavior like this should not be tolerated within a good establishment such as the Texas Roadhouse. We did notice that while we were eating the other individuals involved in this were either asked to leave or decided to leave. I sincerely hope that this individual will recognize what he had done was unacceptable and was inappropriate in front of his children as in the wider audience of those at the restaurant. I will continue to eat at Texas Roadhouse. The one in Muncie never seems to have these problems. I surely hope this was a isolated incident and will not occur again. In closing I just want to say words matter and should be carefully considered before spoken. Treat everybody with respect as well as your own family and those around you.

We were talking to the manager and he learned it was my first visit. He brought over a taste of their side items to try. It was so nice. And they were delicious. I ordered the grilled shrimp and they were excellent. The portion size was large and the food was great. The atmosphere is casual and the booth we sat in was comfortable. We sat in the bar area. Looked like a great place to come in if you were by yourself to sit and grab a bite to eat.
