Half rack of lamb with Dijon and herb breadcrumb crust & Broccolini with a watermelon mule
    Caleb J.

So... after having lamb for the 2nd time... this was absolutely phenomenal. Really need to try this place again because I'm not confident enough to say everything is great! I've heard mixed reviews, but I honestly would be surprised to have anyyyything bad here. The drink itself tasted very good, and the watermelon flavor was identical to actual watermelon and not the fake sour flavor. Very homey restaurant located centrally to an old train station The Dijon and herb crust was really good, and I'm honestly not even a big fan of mustard. I think I'll consider ordering lamb more often if I see it, but next time I will certainly get the braised short rib or delmonico. Ask for Claire if you're in here ever!

What a lovely hidden gem in Kokomo. The food was excellent, drinks delicious and service wonderful. I really enjoyed the crab mac & cheese and a delightful wedge salad. My dining partners had the porterhouse (terrific flavor), the scallops (sauce was divine, scallops just okay) and the portobello (so many great flavors but a little small for the price). We also enjoyed the drink specials ($6 mules and old-fashioned). I would definitely go back the next time I'm in Kokomo and craving a great dinner.

    Hanger and truffle fries

Im not sure if we caught them on an off day or what but upon the rather great reviews, we decided to give this place a try. I must say, it was incredibly underwhelming. Especially given the price tag. We each ordered a cocktail and an entree. I ordered the Hanger (medium rare) with truffle fries My fiancé ordered the Petite beef and reef with crab mac n cheese The hanger only had about one bite out of it that was actually medium rare, the rest was all well done and tough. The fries lacked terribly of truffle that i was using the hollandaise sauce my fiancé was given with his meal to dip my fries in and give them some life. The filet with the Beef and Reef could have used some salt while cooking to give it some flavor and a nice crust on top but the meat was tender and a quality cut. The lobster tail was a bit over cooked making it a little on the chewy side, and the crab mac n cheese was very bland. My fiancé enjoyed his old fashioned but didnt find it impressive My lavender blossom cocktail was heavy on the lavender syrup making it quite thick and hard to drink. I'd be open to giving them another chance but It was quite a disappointment paying a pretty penny just to be disappointed.

This place was amazing. Coming from the Chicagoland area, we have high expectations for steak in general. The food was cooked perfectly. The béarnaise sauce was spot on, brussels sprouts were amazing (who ever says that!?!) , all the sides were amazing! Our waitress, Carissa, was simply the best! Well done on all aspects. Will come back when in town hands down!!

It was far from the limited menu and "See here is our brewery equipment" place. Researching their website, we were convinced this was the place to be on our "chasin' racin'" weekend. My companion noticed that the clientele was quite diverse. I noted that also. We both agreed it was a sign of a thriving establishment. Autumn was our server and she was a lot of fun. Conversant, knowledgeable of the menu, and attentive, she was just great. One of my sides was a Caesar Salad. It was copious to the point that I could not finish it when it was appropriately brought out ahead of time. As a diabetic, I am concerned about carbs, but the Alaskan Whitefish grabbed me . While my plate was messy, I peeled off the coating and enjoyed the nice tender fish inside. In Tennessee, corn pudding is different than what they brought me, but it was wonderful. Bread pudding of the day was S'mores. I had my fill, brought home the rest and my family loved it. Local history was abundant. The menu held an article on local history and the lobby had many historic photos of local interest. I took many photos of them for remembrance. Chances are I will never return to Kokomo. But if I do go back. This is where I will dine.

When we were settled we were the first table in her section, and she only had three tables total (our party of 5, a party of 4, and a 2-top), yet she seemed very overwhelmed. We waited around 15-20 minutes just to place our order while it seemed she took care of the other two tables first. From there, there were multiple mistakes. While setting food down, the strings from her bracelet dragged right across my steak. I didn't want the kitchen to have to remake my steak because of her, so I didn't make a big deal out of it. But it's something a server should be aware of. As she was still taking our order, we changed one side from fries to a baked potato. She said no problem and that she'd fix it, but the food still came out with fries. We had to ask for several items that were missing, and it took around 10 minutes before she returned with them. Only then did she acknowledge the baked potato after we brought it up. The biggest issue was the Sirloin Sydney Salad. The menu describes it as fresh mixed greens, arugula, cucumbers, tomatoes, bacon, pepitas, blue cheese crumbles, balsamic glaze, and steak. The only modification requested was no balsamic glaze, with the tomatoes, bacon, pepitas, and blue cheese on the side. Instead, the salad came out as a bowl of iceberg lettuce with about four cucumber slices and the steak on top. There were no mixed greens, no arugula, and none of the requested toppings on the side. After we had pointed it out to her, she eventually brought a small condiment cup of arugula and another with pepitas, after we were basically finished eating. The arugula was soggy, and the rest of the missing toppings never came. Paying around $22 for what was essentially iceberg lettuce and steak was very disappointing. Some of the blame certainly falls on the kitchen, but as a former server myself, I know it's also the server's responsibility to notice when a dish is obviously incorrect before bringing it to the table and to have it fixed. There were simply too many mistakes, and there seemed to be very little awareness of what was happening. Despite everything, we still left a decent tip because we eat out often and generally tip well. If I had been dining alone, though, this would have been one of the few times I felt a 10% tip was more appropriate. One final disappointment was that someone in our party ordered a sweet potato and was told they were out because they had used them all throughout the week. This was on a Sunday. It seems like a restaurant should plan inventory well enough to have a basic side item available through the weekend. Overall, the experience was frustrating because it wasn't just one mistake, it was a pattern of poor attention to detail from both the server and the kitchen.
