We started with the fried jalapeños and fried green tomatoes. Both were delicious. The tomatoes were heavily breaded and cooked soft. A nice crunch. The dips are house made and delicious. We tried a variety of appetizers, but the standout was definitely the Fried Mac & Cheese bites, the best I've ever had. I ordered a seasonal drink called the Fruit Salad, which gave total Florida vibes and was incredibly refreshing. For my meal, I had the Fiesta Burger with pepper jack cheese, salsa, jalapeños, and all the usual fixings. Such a great spot in Kokomo, IN--we'll absolutely keep it in mind for future events. We have eaten there before and it was good. This time I ordered a breaded pork tenderloin. When it came the breading was a bit dark but after cutting it opened it was raw inside. Glad I decided to cut it opened before taking a bite. our waitress came and said the first one they did it was burnt so she made them redo it. Then that one came out raw. the 3rd one came out right. most restaurants would've comp your meal after all this happened but they did not. read more

Half moon is inconsistent at best. Sometimes it's amazing and sometimes they hit the mark by 1000 miles. I would not recommend them for a burger because they can't ever seem to get the temperature correct. However, their salmon and pulled pork are really good. read more

We had such a great time at Half Moon. There is not a whole lot to do in Kokomo Indiana so we were very happy to see that there was a brewery across from our hotel. They were super accommodating to our large group and very friendly. It was Halloween and I was excited to see that everyone was in costume. The food was hit or miss. We had placed a reservation for 20. Somehow it got placed on the wrong night but the management was quick to accommodate. Never actually addressed the group or visited the table but Jeff, our server, did an amazing job. For 20 people, from the time we were seated till we got our check was under 75 minutes. We never wanted for anything. He never auctioned off food or drinks. Refills were placed on the table without question. Outstanding! Food, I had the bacon Jam burger. Wow. A brewery? I don't think so. I've seen better beer selections at Aldi. The food is hot, tasty and comes out quickly but God help you if you're from out of town and sit in the bar. You won't see anyone for long stretches of time unless you wave your arms and shout out. They're all off having long conversations with someone "in the back" or with the numerous locals . We have always loved the food here..but Wednesday eve we were a party of 6. Three of us ordered the burbon burgers. None of us could even hardly swallow a bite as they were so very DRY. We tried to choke them down but some of us took them home to see if we could make them edible. My husband and I then ordered the bread pudding for dessert to take home...and well they tasted like they had been stored in the back room for a year..You could not even cut it with a fork it was so thick and hard and tasteless !! We started with a half order of onion rings and it was a large portion. The half order was plenty for 4 people. I had the beer battered Alaskan whitefish and my husband had the Full Moon Burger. Stop watching the game and start paying attention to your customers. I specifically inquired about the "slow roasted" Delmonico steak, and after hearing the description I said "sounds great, I would like the 12 ounce Delmonico medium rare please". Wrong order arrived to the table.... received a top sirloin instead which was on the tough side and under cooked.... only ate 1/2, the parts that were not still pulsating or mooing...... One of the people in our party happens to be 94 years young and asked if they could please bring the Coleslaw before the dinner....server said "absolutely".... it came after her dinner. Why? The server heard the request, acknowledged it, even wrote it down.... then completely forgot? My wife ordered a salad topped with medium rare slices of steak.... salad arrived without the steak. They later brought out the steak slices in a side dish bowl.... Another person in the party specifically asked if she could receive her salad before dinner, again the server heard the request, acknowledged it, but salad only arrived with the dinner..... After all the food arrived the server brought out a second basket loaded with rolls and butter... kind of did not make sense to do that. Two of the people at the table are elderly, we all split an appetizer, and they wasted that entire basket of rolls. All they had to do is ask first, we all would have said "no, we don't need more rolls, thanks..." Service was very poor. Male server was clueless, not attentive, and the restaurant was not busy..... so by my view.... no excuses to screw up so badly. Food quality is very good! read more

We came here for dinner on a Monday night and did not need a reservation. Parking was easy in their private lot and we were seated in the front area to the right when you walk in. The bar area is straight back and they have TV, etc. back there. There weren't any in the section where we sat. That was fine though as we were seated in a large booth. They also have a mug club that allows you to get refills on beers at a discounted rate. Our server was great and brought us some really good rolls. There was a weekly special on Mondays that all burgers are $7.99. That is a great deal so I felt like I should go for it, even though they hve pricey items too including steaks. My bourbon burger fell apart too easily. The onion straws were good, but the sauce was too liquidy and made it fall apart almost upon the touch. It could have been good, but fell short. read more

Grilled chicken (Santa Fe) salad was fine...unless interested in the chicken, which was cold, dry and hard as a rock. The other meal (stoplight chicken) was also disappointing, the chicken was dry but decent flavor and the side selected (green beans) was clearly right out of a can with some bacon and onion bits added. My buddy and I went in tonight(Friday evening) and it was busy. We were sat almost immediately. Our server, Allison had a party of around 18-24 people I'd estimate. She still managed to get to us quickly while flying around to the party. Our drinks were out quickly, as was the bread, and our dinner. She was an absolute rockstar, and she definitely did great. She even left a doodle of her dog on the back of our receipt. This might be the best experience I've had at a restaurant, and I'm looking forward to requesting her when we dine in again. read more
