All-around great experience! Our party had two apps, two craft cocktails, two entrees, and a free beverage tasting with Tammy that's not to be missed. The duck bacon wontons were delicious and the spinach artichoke dip came with crostinis for a nice change. The Tiramisu White Russian was a holiday specialty but the Cranberry Winter Thyme was on the regular menu. The crust on the Bianca Flatbread was some of the best I've ever had, and the Sticky Chicken sandwich was super-tasty. You order at the bar, which is slightly unusual. The star attraction turned out to be the tasting of the Distillery's wares! We bought three bottles for ourselves/gifts. Great reuse of a historic building in Anderson, KID-FRIENDLY, games available, private rooms for rental, including a speakeasy! Support a great local business. (Only negative: music was a little loud.)

My husband and I wandered into Oakley Brothers Distillery when we were in Anderson on some family business. We had noticed the billboard on the highway and then happened to see it when we were in town. The staff are very friendly and knowledge and the ambiance of this place is fantastic. My husband, usually a scotch drinker, ordered a bourbon and said it's the first bourbon he really liked, and bought a bottle of it. I ordered a spiced blood orange hard soda and liked it so much I bought 8 cans to take home. This place is fantastic and I wish they had a location in Indianapolis so I could go there more often, but it's probably better for my health that they aren't close to me! This is a lovely little oasis and a great place to stop when you're in town. Highly recommend!

While passing through town, we decided to stop by Oakley Brothers. It wasn't what I had in mind, but we still had a great time together! I found the drinks I tried to be a bit too sweet for my taste, but my sister loved her specialty martini. The highlight of our visit was the lovely lady who guided us through the tastings. She was so informative, and I ended up picking up a butter beer moonshine that totally took me back to my Disney World days! I might just have to swing by again if I'm in the area.

Service was on the slower side. We were told to set in the distillery side. So it was also cold. I am normally on the warm side buy even i was a little chilly. Food was awesome though! May have been an off night for them. I will try again.

I'm not a big fan of marshmallow but the campfire espresso martini hits the spot with a good balance of coffee and sweetness. I also had the classic lemon shakeup which is similar to the state fair but for adults! Definitely a good drink for a warm summer day. The bartender was great and made a good recommendation.

Having seen this places sign on the highway a while ago, I have been meaning to get here for some time. I finally made it this past weekend. The place did not disappoint. They have a nice cocktail menu, highlighted with some decent whiskies. I got the whiskey flight. For a small distillery in Anderson, IN, I was impressed with the whiskey. Well, except the chocolate whiskey, I didn't care for that one. The food menu was also good. We opted for the Gouda bacon burger. The burger was cooked right, bacon was crispy, and the toppings were fresh. The tator tots were crispy, which is how I like them. I will definitely be back.

Breakfast burrito, chicken and waffles, spicy maple syrup. Spiked hot chocolate, valentini, choc old fashioned.

New to us, Oakley Bros is it. My partner had the breakfast burrito- packed with eggs, veggies, cheese. Very good. Chicken and waffles- Norwegian sugar pearl waffles with hand battered fried chicken. Also very good. We had the Valentini and spiked hot chocolate for round one. Both so tasty- neither overly sweet and both just the right amount of boozy. Second round was a chocolate old fashioned- better than we expected and such a great balance of whiskey, orange and chocolate. Didnt think it was possible. Then we tried a shot of their clear rum- great. Taste of their pure moonshine- WOW. What an enlightened moonshine- and surprisingly sweet. Strawberry lemonade moonshine- great right out of the bottle to drink. The stunner was the Gin- best gin ive ever had. Good enough to drink straight any day. We went home with 6 new bottles and we will be back. Great food. Great drinks. Great vibe/service. What else can you want?

You'd never guess this place is tucked away in what appears to be quite the sleepy town. The building on the outside looked cool and Inside was even better. They offer so many different cocktails and spirits and their prices are very reasonable. The staff was friendly and helpful-overall a job well done! We will be back!

Absolutely love this place every time we come. Friendly service and tasty drinks! We tried their Tuesday specials and they were great! The burger and chicken sliders were super tasty. We also loved the mini corn dogs. Then the old fashions are top notch. The laid back vibe makes it a great place to stay awhile.

Ok, first off yumm...Can't say that enough about everything I had there..Drinks top notch and I am sure it's their own blend of distilled liquors in them. I had the pulled pork with jalapeños and pickled onions on it and it was a sweet tangy burst of flavor on a soft crispy bun...need I say more.. In town working and wanted something unique and upscale and this was the place... Definitely stop here if near..

Bourbon Flight

Service: 5/5 Ambiance: 5/5 Mixed Drink: 5/5 Neat Pours: 2/5 When I see a distillery, my number one "must" is swinging in to taste the foundation of what makes them, them. My wife grabbed a mixed drink, had a lot of flavor, and was great. The food that was delivered to other tables, looked great! My negative comes in terms of the spirits. Upon nosing the glasses, they all smelled of the dish soap used, thus it was hard to differentiate the nose of the spirit to the nose of the cleaned glass. I tasted the Flyover, Sweet Wheat, High Rye, and White Rum. I came away with Sweet Wheat being my favorite and Flyover being ranked second. I was not a fan, nor was my wife of the white rum. It tasted like a mix of soap and wet dog, not a "pro" for my palate. For the whiskey connoisseurs, these whiskeys have flavor, but are obviously young. Ask for management: I'm not sure if my situation was a one-off, but the nose from the glass being primarily soap (assuming due to the dish soap) really affects the profile and created a negative experience for me in what I go to a distillery for, to taste spirits in their most natural form.

We had a fun night visiting Oakley Brothers. Very good mixed drinks with all their own spirits. They even have Delta 8 infused drinks (limit 2 per person). It was busy and they had live music. Our bartenders kept us supplied with drinks when we needed more. The best part was all the adult games they have back in the warehouse area. Darts, big jenga, board games, and shuffleboard!! If we ever go back to Anderson, we will certainly visit again!

I was taken here while visiting this week. It's very cute, I like the look from the street. We went in and placed our order at the counter. The attendant was so very polite, gave me a tasting and I started my tab. Beer was great, atmosphere was very nice, and chicken wings yummy jalapeño pizza was awesome. There are game tables, and plenty of seating. They offer daily specials as well. So stop by and check it out.

We love that they walk you through all the ingredients and even give you recipe cards so you can try to make it at home. Somehow it's never quite the same when we make it ourselves, which is exactly why we keep coming back to enjoy it firsthand. We've also done the tour multiple times, and it's always a great experience--very informative and well done. The tastings along the way are a lot of fun and just add to the overall experience. When people think of whiskey in Indiana's Brown County, they might think of that other place. (You…read moreknow the one.) But there is another distillery quietly making small-batch, high-quality spirits in Nashville, and that's Bear Wallow Distillery. Located just outside of downtown Nashville, Bear Wallow Distillery is one of the only female-owned distilleries in the country. They create their spirits in a traditional copper pot still, which I learned is unique. Inside the tasting room, you can enjoy a whiskey tasting or a flight, or sip a craft cocktail and relax in the shop. I chose to enjoy a "Call Me Old Fashioned" standing up at the bar, while chatting with the guy who made me my drink. My Old Fashioned was well balanced, not too sweet and made me feel all warm inside, as a good Old Fashioned should. Those who are interested in learning more about the whiskey-making craft can go on a Farm-to-Fifth Tour, which takes you behind the scenes to learn about the history of whiskey and see the full production process. I did, and I found it very informative! I had a new appreciation for the kind of whiskey and spirits they are making here at Bear Wallow Distillery. From the ingredients they choose to the barrels they use, they really put their foot in it, as they say. If you like whiskey, or just like to try local spirits, this is a good place to visit in Nashville.

This was a birthday gift from my kids and, to be honest, I was apprehensive but now that I've done the class I'm a complete convert! It was fun, educational, and of course tasty! Hotel Tango is a local distillery, and this was our first visit. The building is unassuming, but once inside it was a beautiful space with plenty of seating, lots of drink options, and a cool 'vibe' even for those of us who don't frequent bars/distilleries/breweries. I could see myself hanging out there sipping on a bourbon and chatting up the bartenders or other patrons either inside on a comfy couch or out front on the patio. But that isn't why we were there. For my birthday, the kids got us tickets to attend 'Tango U' which is a somewhat frequent offering at HT. The class was made for 8 attendees, and included background information on the distillery, spirits in general, and in depth looks at two drinks. Our class did a traditional Old Fashioned Cocktail and a drink called 'Orange is the New Wack'. We learned about proper technique, why drinks are made the way they are, and more. Mark (our bartender and/or Mixologist) was fantastic. He told stories from the industry, was a great resource on spirits and drinks and such, and answered what seemed like hundreds of questions from all of us. He made the class enjoyable and educational. The Old Fashioned was our first, and upon completion we had time to enjoy our drink and chat with others in the class as well as Mark. It was a very 'spirit forward' drink (look at me with my fancy new terminology) so you could really taste the rye. Not my usual choice, but good nonetheless. I made it, so it had to be so. After the class enjoyed a break to sip and chat, we started on the second drink and learned additional techniques, more about liquor and made a 'sweeter' (my term) drink which was more my style. I admit, I could have had three more of them, and probably twice that if I was sitting on the beach somewhere sunny. When the class wrapped up, we were allowed to hang out and chat, ask any more questions, or head to the bar and order something else to try. It was a great experience, and I highly recommend it. I'm not a huge drinker, nor do I geek out over cocktails and craft beers, but it was fun, and I'd do it again for sure. 5 stars for the bar/distillery itself and 10 stars for the class!
