Every town needs a darn good brewery, and having Tin Man in Kokomo fulfills that need. Here's the lowdown: -Tin Man's location is downtown in an old train depot. -They are open Tuesday-Sunday. -The decor is super cool, following through with the robot theme. -The brewery is both family and pet-friendly. -There is free popcorn and water available as well as games to play. -While Tin Man does not serve food, they do allow you to bring your own or order from a neighboring spot (some of them even deliver to the brewery). -There is a full tap list plus guest taps and cans for cider and gluten-free beer. -The beer is great. The Damascene will be a forever favorite of mine. Their hoppy varieties are solid too. If this isn't a solid case to say no to a run-of-the-mill bar and spend an hour or two at Tin Man Brewing, then I shouldn't be yelping.

Loved Sun King! Great outdoor patio area with lots of games for the kids. The GFS beer, an IPA, was my favorite. We ordered delivery from Marble the Steakhouse and it was incredible. Best burger I have ever had, hands down! Staff at Sun King were super friendly and accommodating. This is a great place to hang out!

While in Kokomo, I wanted to make time to check out Tin Man Brewing. There used to be a sister brewery in Evansville that had a canning line, but they went defunct. I had tried some of the canned beer before, but now, the only way to drink Tin Man is if you go to the brewery to enjoy it (or pick up growlers). The brewery is located in an old train depot, so it has a bit of a historical feel to the place. With the Tin Man name, there is also a bit of a mechanical/robot theme that somehow ties together with setting. Here, you place your order at the bar which is on the north end of the space. There is plenty of seating facing the bar area for visitors, including families. Along the west wall, free popcorn is self serve from the machine and there is also a rack of games and even some merchandise for the brewery on sale. I went with a flight of five 5-ounce pours ($10). Although a couple of the options were out, there were still more than a dozen choices of house brews to select from. And I was glad to discover that I liked all five! I started with a collaborative Kokomo Kolsch (4.6% 17 IBU) that was made with Half Moon Brewing on the south side of Kokomo. I moved on to the Sandstorm Pale Ale (5.8%, 38) which is very floral, but not so strong that it overwhelms the flavor. The Love Virus Vienna Lager (5.1%, 18) is an Oktoberfest style beer that is rich in malts. The Snow Cap Milk and Coffee Ale (5.2%, 19) was a pleasant tasting beer not quite as strong as some milk stouts, but still good. I finished with the Ingot American IPA (6.5%, 54) which was just hoppy enough to satisfy that taste requirement without overwhelming the fruitty flavors or being too bitter. Service was friendly and helpful. They didn't even seem to mind when I asked questions about the place (which opened here in 2016.) Good beer and a pleasant space. I assume they will open the outdoor seating when the weather stays nice. Review #2488

What a hidden gem for Kokomo! I have enjoyed beers from Tin Man for years and was excited to learn they opened a brewery in Kokomo. I went there and the ambiance was fantastic - the brewery is now in a former 19th century train station, which adds a historic flavor to the visit. One can sit inside or outside on the massive deck area. While they do not serve food, they do allow for delivery from other restaurants nearby; we ordered a pizza from Oscar's just across the street. They have an extensive beer selection. While I have loved their Apricot Sour for years, I tried their Ingot IPA and was pleasantly surprised by it's rich flavor without the overly-citrus aftertaste of many IPAs. We'll be back!

Visited this brewery with a group of girls as we explored downtown Kokomo. It is in a old train depot and they have kept a lot of the original wood and fixtures. Great beer, and unique atmosphere.

The beer is very good and restaurants near by will deliver food here for free. There are plenty of free board games that the whole family can enjoy too. I would come back here it's a good atmosphere. Dogs are welcome too.

Amazing brewery! The environment is awesome. The originality of the train station and the repurposing of all the materials makes it a one of a kind brewery and a must see. I was extremely surprised and excited to find they had 23 of their own beers brewed locally right there. I tried them all! The manager even gave us a tour of the facilities. The beer was great. The place doesn't serve food but has plenty of other local eateries to choose from close by. They do serve popcorn and have lots of board games. Also is kid friendly. We will definitely be back.

I LOVE this place! I was in town visiting my best friend when she brought me to the Tin Man and I'm so glad she did! First of all, the inside is amazing. Everything is so detailed and you can tell they put a lot of work into everything from the tables to the walls to the bathrooms. I was super impressed! It's also really cool because you can order food or bring in food and there are tons of games to play! Last but not least, the beer was just awesome. The sour key lime was my favorite, believe it or not, and I tried a couple IPAs and the strawberry sour as well. Definitely worth checking out and I can't wait to come back!

Had to order multiple flights to taste all the awesome brews made here. Cool historic building and must check out the cheeky men's restroom!

Brewery #281 This…read moreplace understands me, it get's me, I'm partially convinced they tapped my brain or my metaverse and said "Let's make a place that caters to this guy, Da Gabe aka Mike Honcho" Bad Dad has taken dad jokes and made a brewery. Beers named 'Socks and Sandals, Pull My Finger, I'll Turn this Car Around' and many more. Their tin tacker is of a slightly obese dad in an undersized sleeveless shirt, headband and white New Balance sneakers riding a beer can. Perfection. Genius! While their humor got me in the door, their pizza and beer will get me to come back. I got my standard flight with I'll Turn This Car Around (Hazy IPA), Kiss the Cook (DIPA), Snooze Button (Imperial Stout) and a Tapestry of Obscenity (IPA). All were really great but The Snooze Button was my favorite of the bunch. We also got a couple of pizzas. A Detroit style called Motown with thick pepperoni, hot honey, and basil which was very tasty and a Margherita pizza that was solid. My only issue was they were out of stickers for my man cave wall but that's just all the reason to go back next time I visit my parents in Indiana.

Definitely Destination Dining…read more What a hidden in plain sight gem of a great place for amazing craft beer and out of this world pizza. Kam, our server, took our dining experience to a whole other level. I asked to taste all the beers but the IPAs and was brought a sip of each one, I decided on the "You're Grounded, Mister" Stout. Smooth, with a nice kick of coffee had me order this one twice. Now for the pizza...some of the very best pizza I have ever had. We ordered the "Motown" Detroit style pizza with the Mike's Hot Honey which sent this pizza into orbit and tasted out of the world. The other pizza we ordered was the New Yorker which was a thin crunchy crust pizza and as delicious yet totally different. Plan a trip up to Fairmount sooner than later, this place will not disappoint.
