Frissco's is a thin crust pizza spot in the Annex section of New Haven. It's not far from East Haven. There is a bit of seating inside and a couple of picnic tables outside, but I bet they're mostly takeout. I was about 20 minutes away when I called on my Hands Free. I ordered a small pepperoni, and they told me . . . 20 minutes. The race was on. I walked in and they had just boxed my pizza. It was hot. Thin crust had a bit of char and a bit of corn meal on the bottom. The cheese had goos color. The pepperoni were thin. The sauce was decent. The crust had a bit of flop, but not bad. Overall, the pizza was pretty good. Service was friendly. They have easy nearby parking. My score is about 3.5 Stars, but it feels more like a round down to 3 Stars situation. read more

We love Frisco's. It's our top pick for neighborhood pizza. The owner is a dog lover and contributes a lot to dogs in need. They also welcome dogs inside for a free meatball which they hand feed to them, my dogs love this place, too. You can't go wrong ordering a cheese pizza or pizza with toppings our favorites are bacon or pepperoni. The subs are also quite good. They take apple pay and offer delivery as well. read more

Three of us ordered a large pepperoni pizza with extra cheese to be delivered to our workplace. This pizza is the equal to the big three in New Haven. I simply love their sauce & I put their sauce on the same plane as Sally's & Pepe's. I have eaten here before with the same result. One more thing, The char was perfect! read more

We went on a Saturday right around noon to eat in. The server was great! Super friendly and attentive. We were the only people in the small dining room. They seem to do a good take out business. We got a Caesar salad, cheese pizza, meatball and ricotta pizza, and onion and peppers pizza. The salad was awesome. The lettuce was fresh and crisp and the dressing was tasty. The pizza was great: good amount of topping, solid sauce and a good crust. The peppers seemed to be pickled, which threw us for a loop. It wasn't our favorite but it was still good. Overall, we really enjoyed Frisco's. It is a nice version of New Haven pizza with great service and easy parking. read more

But gimmicks aside, who has the best cheap, authentic, delicious NHPizza in town? It might well be here. What you tourists might not know is that there some other places on the edge of town with smaller reputations, we're talking incredible places at much smaller prices. For examplke Frisco's offers truly wonderful New Haven pizza at a fraction of the cost of the tourist spots, far more authentic, tastes more homemade, and very much worth your time. And you should be aware that the places in the centre of town generally do not sell by the slice, which everybody really should, but Frisco's does, and their slices are well worth the short trip out of town. This is the customer service you get when friscoes tells you their closing and then completely undercooks my pizza so that the dough is still raw but the top is cooked. Then they say all I ever do is complain when Ive been getting food from friscoes for years and have never once complained and on top of it the person who picked up the food was extremely rude then hung up on me. I always order my pizza from Friscos because I'm in love with the sauce. Last night my pizza was burnt more than I wanted. I didn't have time to turn around and grab another one. My son didn't eat it so it was a waste. I don't mind burnt crust but the bottom was burnt too with a burnt after taste also. We gave most of it to the dog. I will be returning in hopes of the pizza I usually get. They're amazing and the cook is friendly. read more

Frisco's is one of New Heaven's hidden gems for pizza. I would argue that it's one of the best tasting pizzas in New Haven. I guess it is most likely because of its location. It's right off the highway but not close to any restaurants. Its pretty much a whole in the wall so the atmosphere is casual and it's mostly a take out spot although there are a few tables and chairs. I heard some good things about this little hole in the wall so thought I'd give it a go. I brought my wife in for dinner. As I was sitting down to eat there were water drops falling on me from some sort of duct work on the ceiling. I placed the order and had to wait over 30 minutes for a sit down meal even though the kitchen didn't appear busy. Finally we got our pie, a bubbled oval mess, that tasted eh ok. Then the icing on the cake was after my wife and I were done eating we noticed a mouse run across the floor. If mice are running around during the day I shudder to think what it's like at night.
