I am deeply disappointed and disturbed by the treatment I received at this establishment. From the moment I was seated, I was ignored while white customers around me received prompt and attentive service. No one came to my table to take a drink order, offer water, or even acknowledge my presence. During this time, I watched staff repeatedly return to tables occupied by white customers who had already been served, checking on them, refilling drinks, and continuing to provide attentive service while my table remained completely overlooked. To make matters worse, I was dining with my granddaughter and was never offered a high chair. I had to locate one myself, and when I found one, it was dirty and had not been properly cleaned. I was forced to wipe it down myself before my granddaughter could safely use it. Something as basic as providing a clean high chair for a child should never fall on the customer. After waiting an unreasonable amount of time without even the courtesy of being greeted, it became impossible not to notice the difference in how I was being treated compared to other customers. As a paying customer, I expected the same level of service that was being provided to everyone else. Instead, I felt invisible, disrespected, and unwelcome. After realizing that no one intended to serve me, I chose to leave. I walked out without ever being greeted, offered a beverage, or given the opportunity to place an order. No customer should have to leave a restaurant because staff failed to acknowledge their presence. Whether intentional or not, the disparity in treatment gave the appearance of racial bias and left me questioning why I was ignored while white customers received attentive service. The experience was humiliating, unacceptable, and not one I will soon forget. I hope management thoroughly investigates this matter and takes immediate steps to ensure that all customers are treated equally, respectfully, and with the level of service they deserve. read more

All of the Friendly 's in my area (Rochester) closed a few years ago, so, upon discovering a few in the Syracuse area, we decided to stop on our way back from NYC. Wow. That was bad. What a shame as this was my first time at a Friendly's. We came for lunch as a party of six around 1:30pm on a Sunday. They seemed severely understaffed while being more than half capacity. The service was friendly and courteous but very slow. We didn't even have our drink order taken for 10 minutes after we were seated. The food was eh. I had a crock of broccoli cheddar soup that tasted "powdery" if that makes sense? It gave me the impression the soup is a powder mix they mix into water or milk or something. The flavor was good but the texture was a little weird. Besides that I had a Short Rib Mash SuperMelt with fries. My daughter had a grilled cheese with fries that wasn't very grilled, my husband had two hotdogs with fries, and the three other people in our party had burgers and fries which I neglected to take pics of. The fries were cold and mealy. But we were hungry so most of us ate them. Everyone's a opinion of their food was like mine. Eh. The first coffee cup my server brought out to me had lipstick on it and my daughter's lemonade had a black fleck of something floating around in the bottom of the glass. I had to go stand by the kitchen door to catch one of the three servers because if I'd just waited for our server to come back it was gonna be a while. It was pretty depressing being in there. Babies crying, which happens and isn't a big deal except when the vibe is already really bad, every table was irritated with the slow service and the expressions on everyone's faces was anger or annoyance. Some of the problems we encountered are as follows. * seat was dirty when we were getting seated * my family member's iced tea had a very foul taste, and it was just her drink. I tried it and so did I and another family member. Our drinks were fine. But hers was very odd. * we ordered an appetizer of fried ravioli. The inside was cold as if it was straight out of the refrigerator. Only a few had a normal temperature. * did not have all the cutlery. Was missing a knife * our appetizer plates were not fully cleaned. Still had some things from whoever's previous meals. * They completely ran out of just about all fish. * I got the munchie mania. My sliders were overcooked and dry. I'm really sad because I like this place. I felt no enthusiasm in the servers either. It was almost awkward. There was a coupon on the table that if you scanned it and signed up you could get a free medium sundae but they "weren't using it anymore". Take it off all the tables then?! I finally to go and after sitting there for about five minutes, a waitress came up to me and asked me not to come again smelling the way I do I couldn't believe my ears first of all I said to her I don't even come in here enough for you to be concerned how I smell I wear essential oils and I've only gotten compliments on my scent that was completely inappropriate and rude of that waitress and her friend she said complained, but she wasn't even over to a table talking to anybody about it.
