    Loaded Tots
    Maddy M.

I've been meaning to stop here for a long time and was so glad I did! Very friendly service in a casual setting. We ordered smash burgers with a side of seasoned fries and a side of loaded tots. Our food was ready quickly. The burgers were outstanding and the quality of the beef was evident. The tots were delicious, but I could pass on the seasoned fries next time. I can't wait to come back and try other offerings!

Garden Veggies and Egg Hoagie with Tots! Grab a menu, get a seat if you're dining in and order at the counter. Hot, well cooked food and the tots are so crispy... perfection. Soda and water available in the cooler. Three specials a day and they are open for breakfast and lunch. The owner is so friendly and accommodating and I found out today it's all family run. This building has been here since the 1950's, thank you Joe for preserving this wonderful part of Syracuse history.

Super cute place!! Came here for the first time this morning for breakfast, we were greeted instantly and the employee was super helpful and patient as we made our orders. The food is fresh, tasty, hot and decently priced. I got the breakfast special of sausage , egg and cheese on a plain bagel and it was huge! It comes with the best tots I've had in a long time. Hubby loved his btle sandwich and tots also! The building is super cute and unique. I highly recommend stopping in for some good food.

Solid lunch and breakfast spot with friendly helpful staff and good food. Never had a bad meal there, love the gotti & the tater tots - but recently they added dirty sodas to the menu. Was skeptical, hesitant to try, but turns out they are delicious. Great little treat for finishing the work day.

Don't leave without dessert! Went this morning for breakfast with the folks. Had the Broadway Breakfast Burrito which was huge and came with tots, delicious! Parents both had the veggie omelette, which was loaded with veggies and flavor. As we were getting ready to leave I spied the 3 First Place Dessert awards humbly displayed behind the counter and had to ask about award winning dessert. They cooked us up an order of churro beignets with caramel sauce, best thing I've eaten in a while!

Fantastic food at fantastic prices! They have the best most well seasoned and crispy tots ever! Ordered the Downtown Smashie and Patty Melt and they were phenomenal. We also got the beignets for dessert and they were delicious! The service was great and the staff are friendly and accommodating.

The people were great, friendly and helpful. Food was great, I enjoyed tater tots and the taco was out of this world, ate here twice. Next time I am in Syracuse I will be back. Thank you.

Love this place for a lunch or breakfast stop! The staff are great and super accommodating. You can tell they really get to know their customers. They have daily specials along with their regular menu. It's nothing much on the inside, but it's a casual Cuse vibe... perfect for stopping in. I tried the breakfast BLTE and Mac and cheese. The Mac and cheese was so good and super creamy. The sandwich was delicious as well and fresh. Not too greasy. The Sriracha mayo was a nice addition.

Great little spot! I think everything is such a great price. Service has been friendly and quick the couples times I've been. They make a house sauce that is kind of like a burger sauce chipotle mayo. Pretty good! I prefer dipping the tots in tomato soup. Their coffee is perfectly good for diner coffee. They carry gluten free bread but no dedicated fryer. Space is small. Four booth tables with a few seats at the counter bar.

Such a great choice when you want some great food with a short wait time. They pride themselves on having your food ready within 10 minutes of ordering. I typically get the burgers here (always delicious) but I got their fish taco special this time and it was cooked perfectly. Nice and flakey without any soggy tortillas. Definitely recommend if you're downtown and want a bite bite to eat.

They changed their prices and now its too expensive. Not paying 13$ for a breakfast sandwich that's insane, we're in Syracuse not NYC.

Walking through the restaurant was nice as the space was very large and the decor indoor was cozy and whimsical. Our server was nice throughout the meal. However, I did get a water glass that had marks on it that looked like someone just drank out of it and a crumb on the rim. I asked them if they could get me a clean cup and they ended up bringing the same one as the same mark and crumb were still there. For food, our table ordered a few items to share. We got: -CAULIFLOWER WINGS: The chutney/salsa on top of the fried cauliflower was nice and gave the item a little sour kick. However, the cauliflower itself was not cooked fully so not as soft as I wanted it to be. -SYRACUSE POUTINE: The appearance of the poutine was not the best. However, the gravy it came with was very flavorful and tasty. The potatoes themselves were not fried and were in wedge form but went well with the gravy. The small globs of melted cheese on top were a nice complement. -CAJUN SLIDERS: The slider compliments/sauce went well together but the sliders themselves had grill marks on it which gave a bitter bite to those parts of the slider. Additionally, the fried shrimp inside of the slider still had the tail on and so it was a bit of a surprise to bite into a full tail while eating a slider. All in all, a cute spot to see people but food had some hit or miss components.

The seasoning they use is delicious and the burgers are very flavorful my boyfriend demolished his and wanted more. Which in turns brings me to my WAGYU SMASH BOWL. This is literally amazinggggg! Mac & cheese base is cheesy and delicious, topped with cheese potato pierogis and grilled onions! And last but not least a waygu smash patty. All of it was addicting and so filling, I kept giving more to my boyfriend and he loved it. It also comes with a side of chili consume which is yum and nice added flavor to everything going on. PS the homemade pickles are delish! Overall seriously impressed with get smashed and saw an article that they will be expanding! Super excited for them and wherever they go I'll be there!

My favorite dish was always gyros over rice with cut up pita and salad from the streetcarts. Fastforward to now. In Upstate NY it is hard to find Gyros or meat over rice as good as the city...until today. I took one bite and had flashbacks. The chicken is seasoned with a blend of the middle east and Mediterranean. The steak was coated with white sauce, garlic sauce, and hummus. And the salad was panopley of options. Even a little toasted pita to remind of the gyros. Very filling. I will get multiple meals out of this and I will be back to try more!

I placed the order again and this time my dinner came without the cheesecake. I call back again and ask to speak to the manager and he tells me I have to email their HR department to get it all sorted out. He treated it like it was all a joke. I email them and they said I was Refunded for the first meal completely which I'm Still waiting for all these to process and that they're going to refund me for the second cheesecake. So I get hit with delivery fees and processing fees. I used to eat out here weekly but after this I'm sorry but I can't support someone who is going to mess my Order up twice I got hit with all these fees and there isn't anything they did to make the situation right and I've never had to email an HR department for a company I didn't work for. Also the second time I had to call the manager told me that I had to send an email about the missing desert and when I asked him to take care of it himself he couldn't comprehend the fact that I shouldn't have to contact them when they messed my order up twice it's disappointing that a place that I enjoyed eating at could care less that they made these mistakes.

For drinks they have a good selection of beers on tap, usually 10-20, from local and national breweries. The server offered me a sample before I fully committed on a beer I had a question about and I appreciated being able to try it before committing to a full glass. The Evergreen's menu itself is accessed through a QR code where their full list of options and specials are listed. My group opted to share the beer fries and they were taaaasty, pillowy soft, crunchy, and amazingly well seasoned. The vegetarian options are a regular part of the restaurant and the fried tofu I had was genuinely satisfying and well done. My cajun pasta was maybe a touch over but I was okay with it since it had my condiment obsession of chili crisp in it. The menu is well marked for dietary needs. A great thing of note is that they have women's, men's, AND an all-gender bathroom. I appreciate the inclusion in the food and restaurant itself. Car parking is street parking, it's accessible via the Centro bus system, and there is an artistic broken-chain shaoed bike rack just across the street from the restaurant. My partner and I chose to split the herb fries, burnt end chicharrones, and the brussels. I thought the herb fries were delightfully crisp with great flavor. The sweet & spicy smokey sauce that was provided with it was a bit tangy. I didn't like it at first, but it grew on me! You'll definitely have to taste it for yourself. The burnt end chicharrones left more to be desired. Both my partner and I thought they were dry and not tender. Also, there was something about the flavor that we did not care for. I absolutely love burnt ends from BBQ joints, and this was the first time we've ordered chicharrones so I don't have something to compare them to, but I'd suggest trying them elsewhere. As for the brussels, when we first got to the restaurant our friends were sharing them. We tried one bite and knew we had order a whole plate for ourselves! They were literally the best brussel sprouts we've ever had. The roasted garlic aioli and grana cheese were topped on perfectly cooked brussels which I would go back for. I highly suggest checking out The Evergreen, go through their beer menu, and find a new favorite plate.
