We went to the daily diner for the first time and loved it. We've been looking for a new go to breakfast spot and this is it! I had the classic eggs Benedict and it was perfect. The poached eggs had perfectly runny yolks, the hollandaise was rich and creamy . Our server was excellent and our food didn't take long at all. It's a cozy and bright space with lots of booths and tables. They had lots of fun shakes and pancakes in unique flavors on the menu as well.. perfect for the kids to try when we come back.

My. Favorite. Pancakes. There are several reasons to check this place out but the pancakes are my #1. Fluffy and buttery with a little bit of a crispy edge and sooooo flavorful??! I absolutely love them, I recommend the blueberry, they don't overwhelm the pancake which is delicious as is, but you really can't go wrong. Their hash is delicious and old school. With peppers and onions are the best. Has the decor and vibes of a retro diner with decent prices and wonderful, kind staff- win win win. It can get busy on the weekends, go early or join the wait-list online! -so easy.

Good food. Exceptional menu selections inc. Booze. Comfortable and clean. Can join the wait (if any) list online. Outdoor seating. Family setting (so don't come if kids making noise annoys you) Cool molk shakes/ice cream treats and deserts inc. Canolis. Cheesecake etc.

Brought my boyfriend here on the promise that these are the best pancakes he'll ever eat and it did not disappoint. I HIGHLY recommend checking/joining the waitlist before coming in because this place is always poppin. Our server was super friendly and bubbly. We both got the double for breakfast with a chocolate chip pancake. The home fries cooked with peppers/onions had a ton of flavor; I really didn't even need ketchup 10/10. The sausage patty was pretty big and also very flavorful I really enjoyed it. I am not a huge fan of diner eggs (I prefer mine at home) and these were pretty boring but edible. Obviously the pancake stole the show: crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and topped with buttery syrup. You have to order at least one if you come to visit here! Very cute townie diner with INCREDIBLE pancakes, worth the trip.

We drove 90 minutes to try their key lime pancakes, only available in June, and we're so glad we did! They were delicious and had so many components to make them all that they were. From the crispy buttery edges, the lime zest, the key lime mascarpone mousse, they were perfection. Even the syrup was extra special. I asked what it was and the waitress said it was syrup mixed with clarified butter. Well okay! I've had many orders of pancakes with the texture of play-doh, but not these. I can't wait to see what July's special pancakes are. We also ordered the fries with eggs, cheddar, and sausage country gravy. That's the best gravy I've ever had. It was so strong with sage, (I think?) absolutely delicious. Our server Shay was super friendly and attentive and I want to be her best friend lol. The decor is super cute, bright colors, retro but modern and very clean. The only thing I didn't love was the restroom was 1 hole but shared gender and didn't feel clean. Large parking lot, plenty of seating if you need to wait for a table. Very comfy chairs / booths.

We decided to try the daily diner for Father's Day and good tip to know if you have 5 or more party you can't get on the waitlist online, you have to call. So we weren't ready for that l, but that's ok while the wait was a bout a hour and a half we went over to the swan pond to kill some time. We got in around 11:30am and our waitress was super nice. The menu has lots of different options so it was tough to make a decision. Dad and I went for the classic which is good any where you go (the double) 2 eggs, meat, homefries, and toast or a pancake. My boyfriend and mom got the French sandwich a unique twist on the eggs Benedict but a sandwich with Swiss cheese and on a croissant. One sister got the back country burger and that was huge with lots of sausage gravy and my other sister got the Philly cheesesteak with fries and it was on thick bread instead of the typical sun roll. Overall was a very yummy and nice time at the daily diner. It was actually pretty calm when we got in and sat. Not noisy at all and definitely a cool place to check out. When I'm in the mood for pancakes I will definitely have to go back because that looked to be the star of the show from what I saw coming out.

    Eggnog Martini

Always a delicious meal. I splurged since it's the holidays and treated myself to their special eggnog martini. Delicious. The eggs Benedict and side of home fries with onions was very tasty and cooked to perfection. Service was great. They totally gave us time to chat and look over the menu without feeling rushed.

I was visiting friends in the Syracuse area for the weekend and this was one of the places we visited for breakfast. Not knowing anything about local restaurants, I gave them free reign to pick places to eat. A diner sounded perfect for breakfast, so I was really looking forward to checking The Daily Diner out. Located in a small strip mall, DD primarily serves breakfast and lunch items. The place is pretty spacious with a combination of tables, booths, and a counter area (typical of any diner). The place seems new - it didn't have that lived-in feel of other diners I've been to, and when I asked my friend he confirmed that they have only been open for about a year. Because of the newness and the large windows, the entire place had a bright, fresh feel with lots of natural light and an eclectic color scheme. The menu contains a good variety of breakfast and lunch items. I drew my attention to their egg dishes, and the French Sandwich stood out the most. This was an egg-based sandwich that also contained ham, Swiss cheese, hollandaise sauce, and Daily sauce (a spin on special sauce?) on a croissant. It was good - despite all the cholesterol, the sandwich wasn't too heavy. I will say it was too messy to eat by hand, but they provided a knife which I appreciated. The sandwich came with breakfast potatoes on the side which was good too. Service was good - our dishes came out in an appropriate amount of time and everyone we interacted with was friendly. Overall, I enjoyed my experience at The Daily Diner - this seems like a great spot to grab a meal in a comfortable, friendly environment. I would definitely return if I'm ever in the area again.

    Ghoul Goblin Milkshake
    Benny G.

This will be a review of just the new Halloween milkshake called the Ghoul Goblin milkshake! The shake it's self was very good, but I had just a few problems with it. The shake comes with icing on the top along with a brain cupcake and eyeball gum balls! The icing is just too much! While I drank the shake I would get the icing through the straw and it would make it unbearably sweet. The cupcake was okay but not something I particularly enjoyed. So overall, it's an okay shake but for $13.00 I feel like it's more for show than it is a quality shake.

Good food, good selection, clean and comfortable. Small alcohol selection (unusual for a diner - usually there is none) Closed caption televisions. Manager is very involved. Family diner- don't come if you cannot tolerate loud Kids. Gets full sometimes and they're not shy about telling you they need the table when you're done eating, however anyone that lingers when they see people are waiiting are jerks anyways :) Not the cheapest please to sit down and eat - go to Dave's Diner or Dennys if you're short on money. Definitely coming back

I heard that waits were long for breakfast so I came when they first opened. Pro tip- if you come right at 6:30 on a Wednesday, the restaurant is actually empty- at least it was for me. I felt so bad because I could tell the waitresses were just starting their shifts and not used to having to snap to work so early, but they were so sweet and didn't make me feel like an inconvenience at all. Seriously, the staff here are dolls. The owner was around too, and he was also friendly. The decor here is bold, bright, and retro. I went for the pancakes. I wanted to try two kinds- the blueberry and the bam bam (fruity pebbles.) Again, I was a thorn in the staff's sides because they usually don't do short stacks for specials but they made an exception and figured out how to charge me for it and, again, were so nice about it. Both kinds were excellent. The pancakes were perfectly light and fluffy, big, and delicious. They come with homemade maple butter which was different from standard syrup, but super tasty. They have a case full of cute cupcakes. I've seen on social that they do adorable monster milkshakes, which, much as I love sweets, is always a tad too much sugar for me. While my pancakes were sugary for sure, it wasn't sickeningly so. I'd come back and try more things on the menu- especially their breakfast cocktails. This is out of my way but it's a cute place, and I'd return!

There was a long wait so we ate at the bar. Food was good, service was ok, desserts look great although we didn't have any this visit, would definitely try here again.

When my husband read a ridiculous one star review, we knew we had to stop in. We both agree, we have now found our favorite breakfast place! First, the food....I ordered the #2 breakfast (2 pancakes, 2 eggs, 2 sausage and 2 bacon. The pancakes would be more than a meal by themselves. Thank goodness my husband wanted one of them. They were huge and fluffy and delicious! I ordered my eggs scrambled and they too were light, fluffy and cooked for the perfect amount of time. The bacon was delicious and the sausage was nicely browned and tasty. My husband ordered hash, eggs and toast. I tried a bite of his hash and WOW! We both think it had to be made in house. Second, the atmosphere....this is a classic, old school diner. We sat at the counter and enjoyed watching the masterful cooking on the flat top. Lastly, the staff was super friendly and attentive. Even though this was our first visit, the friendliness of our server made us feel like regulars. We can't wait to go back and next time I'm definitely going to try the brioche French toast I spied cooking on our way out!

Unfortunately, I found that despite some good reviews, this place is subpar. I paid $35 for two breakfasts. I was served a dish with two eggs, two thin slices of toast, I don't know how they slice the toast that thin, a huge plate of greasy home fries, and bacon that was so greasy it was inedible. The floors were filthy and I can't imagine they have been washed in months. This is a small space and tables are crammed everywhere making it difficult for the waitress to move around. My husband said the men's room was simply disgusting. The flies on the window next to us eagerly looked at our plates, waiting to pounce at the first opportunity. Not a positive experience.

She instantly changed them but she already touched my food.So from there I didn't feel comfortable to eat from the restaurant. I still paid for my food and I still tipped the waiter because it wasn't her fault. I'm very disappointed that I saw what the cook did.Hopefully that cook could learn proper cooking etiquette. We have been looking forward to coming here since we heard it was coming into this location. The decor felt high end pizza parlor with a little industrial touch. The panted brick was a nice touch for the coal fire pizza feel. The menu has a good amount of options but felt it is a little overpriced. We had an order of Utica Greens because we love Utica Greens. They came out quick but they were overly salty unfortunately. They had a little spice to them and were cooked perfectly. The salt was just a little to much. We both ordered a 12 inch pizza I had the sausage and my better half had the arugula, prosciutto and added ricotta. My pizza was good. The sausage was delicious but the other meat was a little salty. The other meat overpowered the flavor of the sauce and cheese. I wish I had just ordered the crumbled sausage and it would have been perfect. The arugula pizza with the ricotta was delicious. The sauce on both pizzas was missing a little flavor but the crust was perfect. They have only been open a month so I will revisit for sure. I hope adjustments will be made and this place stays open. Love the bar area and the feel of the place. The price is a bit high for the product being put out so I hope they adjust the flavors to make it worth our while.
