Ive never been to the other place others are comparing this one to, but all of these Asian nail places look the same to me. As long as its clean and well lit so that I know they arent trying to pretend to be clean, then im a happy camper lol. This place is very clean and bright, and I saw them disinfecting the tools before using it on me, which is very important because one time at another place my friend got a foot infection, ewww! The spa chairs are nice, typical Asian wrap still on the remote lol. Foot massage was good, the scrub and lotion they put on is amazing! My foot feels so minty and soft. My mom and I both got a mani pedi. I got gel, she got regular. We walked in but when we left there was a wait, so calling for an appointment would be wise. There are lots of other places around the plaza so thats a plus if you get stuck waiting. Cash and credit accepted! the window says they do eyelash extensions and waxing/threading. Will probably try that next time. My worst fear when going to these types of places is that the workers dont understand me, but they do speak English here so thats a big plus for when I decide to go without my mom. read more

I recently moved to montebello and I always come here because the service is always great. But today was a nightmare. I asked for a gel pedicure I got there at 10:30am I rarely get gel but I did because I know it will be after but I did not get out of there until 12:20pm because my tech was new. I did not know this when he is in the middle of starting and looked like he didn't know what he was doing until two people came to see how he was doing. I can go in but the fact that they couldn't let me know he was new. Until I told the girl that was watching him polishing my toes then she took over and when she did I said, I was suppose to go in to work at 12:30 she said oh you should've told us that you where in a hurry sorry next time extra massage like whaaaaat? Like you should've told me it was his first day. Not only I'm late for work I had to pay up 45 dollars that where not worth it at all for the service. This was my first time coming to this place , after my original Nail place was closed and BIGGEST MISTAKE EVER . Not only did one of the workers cut my nail recklessly causing my toe to bleed , she left my toe nails uneven and messy. After I was told I would only pay $25 for a pedicure after I asked 3 times through out the procedures if it would still be at the cost of $25 ,ended up being that I had to pay $37 . This was so unprofessional , and caught me so off guard . I would not recommend this place to anyone , unless you want to be robbed for your money and leave with bloody cuts . read more

Never really liked their service but I went again because my cousin wanted to come. Our visit was decent so I decided to return with my mom. Everything seemed fine and everyone was friendly. I got a fill with gel polish and as soon as I got home I noticed the gel was peeling. I went for the first time last week and I was helped by Chin who messed up my right foot by leaving on the Callus remover for more than 5 minutes(mind you, callus removers are not to be left for more than 5 minutes) after I told her my foot was burning all she did was take off the plastic and didn't take off the chemical, finally she took it off after 10 min, I left this place not being able to walk and in a lot of pain!!!! Very unprofessional and negligent of them to leave on such a strong chemical for a very long time!!! Not to mention very expensive she tried to charge me $33 for the horrible experience but ended up paying $23 when I shouldn't even have payed anything for what she caused!! I walked in here & asked for a pedicure & gel manicure session. The place was empty & a man directed me to the spa chairs. Which is only common sense to be charged more for the spa care. What I did not know, & was not notified in advance about, was they charged extra for the pedicure which they labled as "spa" since I was sitting in the chair. I explained to them that it was their idea to come & do my gel manicure on the chair, I had no problem waiting to sit at the regular chair/table to get the manicure. The man just keep saying "no" spa manicure. This place takes advantage of people. Be aware of the prices here. My gel nails are already peeling off? The worst Nail experience ever!!! I came in for a fill on my French tip with pink powder under and a pedicure. My mind was already set on French tip toes, which still looks very crooked! Check out the picture ! the guy doing my fill grabs any pink and adds it to my nails BUT it's not the same color !!! He still has the audacity to tell me that if I wanted the same pink, I should've went to the same nail place I had went to in the first place. Then since I was so upset, he tried to fix it by making me choose another color on top but I had already done French tip toes so I didn't want a different nail color. He convinced me to paint them pink then add white French tip on top. Sounded good but I wanted the pink to look natural and he got me a pepto-bismol color !! And he didn't even paint them correctly from the top!!! Just check out the images. And I STILL got charged for everything! $71 bcuz they charge $15 gel pedicure but don't tell you until the end. Also they charged me for the white tip, when they're the ones that messed up! Oh and they don't sterilize their utensils so I might even get an infection. Went here with significant other to have nails cleaned up (mani / pedi for her). We were greeted and told the wait was 20 min. The place was busy but was equally well-staffed, so seemed a reasonable estimate. After 25 min we cordially asked how far on the waiting list we were to being seen, and were told it would be "just a minute." At 40 min we asked the same, and were told our wait was 20 min more. At 65 min we asked one last time and were told we were "coming right up". We decided to leave, having wasted an hour of our life. It's okay to be busy, it's not okay to lie with time estimates in an attempt to retain business - that's called dishonesty, and there are long term consequences - one of which is that we won't be returning to do business. read more

I usually go here because of the proximity and because it's actually quiet and you can relax, which is rare for a nail salon in south gate and nearby cities. I do like the different spa service options they have and for the most part they have good service and do a good job on pedicures. This last time I went I was happy with the service until the older gentleman doing my manicure started rushing and doing a sloppy job. The lady doing my pedicure took over after I complained about the sloppiness. I did tell her that the polish was clumping she went ahead and painted over it and it looked fine because it was only the first coat he had put on. Clean place, first time there, honestly i felt like the guy at a point was scrubbing (filing) my nails too hard, which felt like the acrylic nail was gonna yank off together with my natural nail, then he made one of my fingers bleed, the thumb acrylics are unevenly filed, and i can see a nail polish brush mark on one of my nails, when he put the nail dryer machine he would just sloppily throw my hand in it, which would hit the side of it and actually messed up one of the wet nails, but he went back over it. I like the color and length of my nails but not the best job. Idk how the other emloyees do their work but speaking for one of them, he didn't do the best joband seemed rushed when nobody was waiting, but i guess I'm still satisfied with my nails although I had to file my thumb acrylics when i got home. read more

I also hadn't checked yelp before coming so I was a little scared as I was getting my pedi reading the bad reviews. I was greeted at the door and I didn't have to wait. I got a fill and pedi for 27 bucks which is pretty decent. The polish selection isn't the greatest and my nails were cut too short but they looked good considering the length faux pas. I usually don't like leaving bad reviews but man this place made me so this. I went in Saturday afternoon to give this place a try since I wanted to try something new. I was greeted right away, the staff was friendly. However, I sat down and this man "John" started doing my nails.. as he is filling them he cuts my skin from the edges of my finger nail... he didn't file the nails down correctly... he kept cutting me. He then proceeds to put gel on my nails... he was not applying the polish correctly that it started to get bubbly. Afterwards the hairs from the polish started to get on my nails.. when he was done he wanted to charge me $30 for SHORT gel full set.. I told him no I'm not paying $30 because this is not a $30 work! So he ended up charging me $28!!! As I was walking out I seen my nails were getting worse! So I went back in and told them to just take them off and refund me .. however, this lady (I'm guessing manager) offered to fixed them and she thankfully she did.
