First time I ever tried cronuts was at this place & I was so surprised it was as good as it was! From the outside it looks like a normal 24 hour donut shop but once you try the cronuts, you get hooked! The croissant part is not too hard nor too soft, but it does fall apart a bit. I had the Nutella with strawberries and that one is really good. It's not too sweet but sweet enough. ALSO you need to try the ube donuts! Those are so good, I come specially for those. I was very excited to try this place for weeks because of their daily instagram posts. Maybe there was a filter i didnt know they did to their photos because my ube donut wasn't very purple... and tasted like there were coconut chunks in it? that was quite odd. The red velvet donut tasted okay. But what really disappointed me was that all my cronuts were burnt. they were too hard and crispy.... and dark. What? Maybe I just came at the wrong time. So I always paid with a $100 dollar bill and the lady spend neary 10 minutes holding my money and telling me maybe 3 stories of how people have been giving her fake new $100 bills. My co-worker and I went around 2345, since we've been eyeballing the mochi donuts. Ube is pretty good, but I really couldn't distinguish the flavors between the green tea and vanilla mochi donuts--reminded me of biting into a plain fluffy jet-puffed marshmallow/boiled rice flour ball (mochiko)! I brought some back onto the unit and the rest of my co-workers did enjoy the ube, but said the other flavors were bland as well. A bit costly for a dozen mochi, $26?! Stopped at the end of the day for "dessert". The two young guys working were super friendly and helpful. They were patient as my 4 and 7 year old were super indecisive over their many choices. So in the best Homer Simpson voice possible I say MMMMM Ube donuts..AAAAAHHHHHGGGGGHHHHH! Who would've thunk ube doughnuts, right? Well there are definitely quite a few selections, but that and the blueberry doughnuts stuck out the most to me. The ube donut was moist when first consumed and the glaze wasn't too sugary, but just enough punch to make Mary Poppins happy as the medicine goes down..(Yeah a Disney reference, deal with it!) The one setback for me is that they didn't stay fresh the next day, but that could be just user error and not that of the donuts themselves. All in all the service has a down home feel and maybe next time to capitalize more on things I'll stick with 6 donuts and not go nuts with 12. read more

Came here as a result of an article on Facebook I found screaming "UBE DONUTS", and knew I had to come here to satisfy my filipino sweet tooth. I think the ube donut fell a little short of my expectation. The flavor of ube was really subtle, and I felt it to be extremely greasy. The red velvet, and blueberry donuts fared better, however. Red velvet was moist, and cake-like, while the blueberry was just as good as the hyped up M&M ones I've tried (just pop it in the toaster for a few minutes to get that warm, fresh-out-of-the-oven goodness). The dossants, or cronuts, were amazing. I've only tried two, but the smores one is just as good as it looks, and the strawberry nutella one took the cake for me. It's amazing that they have such a variety, and it even stated on a small sign that if your choice of dossant that was on their list was not available, then you could order it, and they'll make it for you right then and there! There's usually never a wait when I go, and ample parking. Cash only, but there's an ATM if you forget. Great donut spot overall! read more

Craving for donuts and decided to stop to see what Friendly had to offer. There was a good amount of donuts on display. Decided to get the ube donut since you usually don't see that at donut places besides the usual blueberry or red velvet cake donuts. They also, sell the ube donut with ube ice cream too which is unique. Ube is a purple yam and it's very popular in the filipino culture. Yelp app users don't forget to check-in for a free regular cake donut! I chose a chocolate covered cake donut with assorted sprinkles on top. Lastly, the pop tart donut stood out to me so I got that. The worker or possibly owner? warned us that it might be too sweet said from other people but I wanted to try it out anyways. For two donuts it was around $4ish plus the free regular cake donut. Taste test verdict: Ube donut: was a little disappointed since it was lacking the ube flavor but the color was there. It has nice sugary crunchy exterior and a nice cake texture on the inside. Cake donut with chocolate and sprinkles: the cake donut texture was pretty fluffy and was quite delicious! It went nicely with the chocolate and sprinkles as the toppings. Pop tart donut: out of the three this was the winner! The jelly inside was the perfect amount of sweetness! I was skeptical since the worker mentioned that it might be too sweet for some people but I was glad to see it wasn't overly sweet! I like the nice touch of the pop tart crumbles on top of the donut and a piece for garnish too. The donut texture itself was good and the amount of jelly to donut ratio was about 50/50. Overall, pretty decent donut shop and it's open 24/7! Like a lot of 24/7 donut shops it's best to get fresh donuts in the early of morning or whenever they make a fresh batch. read more

Easily the friendliest donut shop owners, they absolutely live up to their name. I came here to get mochi donuts for my mom and coworkers who are nurses working during this pandemic and friendly donuts was around my area. I was welcomed right when I entered and to my knowledge I believe this is family owned by a mom and her son! They are properly practicing social distancing so there is currently no open seating. I ended up getting one of each mochi donut flavor and one earl grey lavender for myself (bc anything early grey/floral is my weakness) and it was sooo good. It was light and fluffy, the floral flavor wasn't overpowering. He even threw in a couple sprinkled donuts and donut holes in no charge, ugh sooo sweet of him! I travelled from Canada touring around California and one of our days we went around donut-searching. One of our stops was at Friendly Donuts as the reviews were great on here, but unfortunately it actually disgusted me. When we went inside to choose a dozen of donuts and a few desserts (they had a large variety!), there were fruit flies ALL over the treats in the window. I dont know if that is normal for this place or not but we bought a few anyway as this looks like a cute local business. When we got back to the hotel only about a 35 minute drive away, they tasted stale and not as delicious as they looked. Again, Im not sure if this was just a bad time I went, but it qas disgusting. Came here at 10 am on a Sunday. There were two people in front of me, one with a mask and one without a mask. They do not enforce mask required so no one was wearing a mask, including one of the worker. After me there were two more people with no mask too. In addition, they do not disclosed that there will be a 0.75 cent extra charge for credit card.
