I'm a happy regular. I work in the area Tuesdays and Thursdays and this is my afternoon pick me up. Mimi has got my drink order down, blueberry almond milk matcha latte iced. Starbucks can't compare! I originally came in because they have mochi donuts on their menu. I went through all the flavors and taste tested them with the boyfriend since they were his current favorite treat. When the kick moved on, I started trying the matcha lattes. Gotta say the blueberry is the best, it's like fruity pebbles. They have much more in store in drinks and treats. I've come in and a man was sharing his guilty pleasure with coworkers and had ordered a mixed box of donuts. Oh the choices! Beautifully made with great pricing. Definitely a gem to local business and the community.
Friendly Donuts is some of the best! We have been here only a few times, but I have always left happy! They are open 24 hours and they are known to offer many VEGAN options. This is great for those with food allergies. The location is well lit and has a decent size parking. The inside has bench seating and nice decor for photo ops. The staff here were efficient and hospitable. On a recent late night visit we scooped up a few vegan donuts and pastries for my wife and I saw a Dubai Chocolate I could not pass up! The vegan donuts all tasted great and that Dubai one was amazing. I love coming out here to Friendly Donuts for a delicious treat and because my wife can enjoy an array of vegan donut selections. Orange County, meet your new local donut dealer. Friendly is not the only good thing about this donut joint. What's also excellent is the variety of delicious donuts they have to offer. Donuts, cronuts, and mochi donuts .. Friendly Donuts has got them all. And the best part? They are very affordable compared to other fancy donut shops around. I came to pick up a dozen donuts to take to a friend's house this morning. I decided to upgrade to a dozen mochi donuts when I found out a dozen was only $32. I've tried donuts here in the past to know that they are tasty as well. In a time when most prices are inflated, I appreciate that Friendly Donuts has kept their prices fair. That mixed with a variety of scrumptious donuts and friendly service, you have found your new local donut dealer!

Over a decade ago I went to Friendly Donuts in Orange and I was so underwhelmed. Recently when my boyfriend mentioned seeing Friendly Donuts from a YouTuber he follows, I was open to trying it again. It's been so long. I was rooting for them to improve. I was optimistic as we pulled up into their little parking lot. There was a lot of improvements to the donut shop. Definitely new paint, new fun back drop, a wide selection when we came during the weekend. We ordered a Canadian Favorite ($4.50), a Pistachio Donut ($3.25), a Maple Cruller (Promo $1), and a Dozen Donut Holes ($4). We were full from lunch but we wanted to try the donut holes right away.. .. .. ugh... disappointment... so dense. Not a fan. My boyfriend ate the pistachio donut said it was not bad, better than the donut holes. His theory is maybe they do better cake donuts than yeast donuts. I microwaved the Canadian favorite which is the maple with the bacon and it wasn't hard since it was warm, flavor was good but just about as good as all the other donut shops. Oh the seating the did have along the side of the little shop was a bit tight and the surface could use some cleaning. It had a lot of donut crumbles from previous patrons. I feel like the latest visit is a smidge better than my last visit. I do see improvements but I wouldn't go out of my way for this place. It's probably an okay option for locals. And I still don't feel like they're friendly... sorry when you name your place friendly donuts, you set up expectations for your staff to be friendly.
Stopped by Friendly Donuts on my way back home from a road trip. I'm so glad we stopped, because they had a nice selection of vegan donuts for my son and regular donuts for myself. Every donut we tried was delicious. I like that the donuts do not taste artificial and the flavors really come through! My favorite donut flavor as the Ube! Very clean inside and staff were helpful plus friendly!

Delish donuts & very creative flavors. Some of our favs are their French cream, tiramisu, flan donuts, Boston cream, and the mochi donuts! And so many more- chef creations & classic donuts- something for everyone. Love our local donut shop! Definitely worth a visit.

This place is amazing! Steven answered so many questions about all the different donuts and helped direct our choices. My daughter loved her animal cookie donut and the Nutella strawberry dossant was bomb!
The dough isn't too sweet, but isn't as airy as some of the other donuts I've had in OC. I can see why it's rated higher than Oliboli donuts. The maple donut frosting is out of this world good. Long John's were more airy than the main circular donuts . Cake donuts dry

Went here after my class at my community college. I saw the high reviews on tiktok and had been wanting to try. When we went there there was a very long line. However the employees there were very fast in getting everyone their order. One of the cashier, Steven went out of his way to give us a detailed description of all the donuts and drink. The Dubai Chocolate caught my eyes and it tasted just as good. The tres leches we're just as good! 5 stars to Steven! I will be frequenting check out this store a lot more. this is the fastest i've written a review bc this place is amazing. the worker is SO sweet and friendly, just the definition of genuine customer service. my partner and i got non-vegan and vegan donuts respectively and she added an extra vegan donut so that we could both have it (,: the decor is so cute and all of the extra donuts are stored in the back of the store, which is dimly lit and cool to keep them fresh! the donuts are all so stunning and the prices for the vegan donuts are so reasonable. finally!! and the selection for vegan donuts is quite large and clearly marked as well. i'm glad that i live near this place because i'll have to return. parking is pretty easy too because this shop has its own lot! read more

One of the coolest donut shops I've ever been to! Friendly donuts is a pinnacle of Orange so I was excited to try it. The interior is bright pink and gold, very 80s diner style. They had the most extensive selection of donuts I've ever seen, so much variety. My favorites (pictured) are the peanut butter jelly and the animal cookie. read more

The donuts here are soooo good. Services is wonderful. The Dubai chocolate donut is a must get, so much texture and right amount of sweetness. Dont forget the French Cream donut, like eating vanilla ice cream that doesnt melt. They have so many varieties of donuts--I wish I could try them all but my stomach would grow and my bank account would cry unfortunately. Still this place is worth saving for! read more

Great atmosphere, wonderful staff, nice view of the homes on the hillside. The selection is outrageous and includes gluten free and vegan options! In addition to traditional favorites, indulge your inner child with whimsical delectables like ube, flan, or mochi, bacon maple, smores, Dubai chocolate, or fruity pebbles. The Cocoa Puffs beverage was crazy. The tiger tail is my all time favorite donut with a cup of coffee, it's the size of half my arm. Great experience, even better donuts! Staff members were super polite. Although the doughnuts are high end, they are pretty good, I love how soft and fluffy they are! My fav doughnuts "maple" were so good and melts in your mouth how soft they are. My 3 year old daughter loved her sprinkled doughnut, she ate the whole thing in one sitting. Hehe. I've been here a few times now. I like the variety of donuts they carry and the rotations they do every month. Donut quality is good and the staff is friendly. I like the aesthetic of the business as well. I decided to try their strawberry matcha and sadly it's not a drink I'd recommend. Way way too sweet and the matcha got lost by all the milk and strawberry flavoring. Do try the donuts though! read more

First of all I want to say WOW! The presentation itself of this shop is so unique, I love it! I was looking for a place near me to try the popular Dubai chocolate strawberries and was utterly surprised upon our arrival with all the other sweets they had. The strawberries themselves were pretty good a little disappointed by how simple they were. By no means was this the shops fault just expected more since it's a trending new item. But the donuts , that's what took my breath away. Every single item was so unique and beautiful I wanted to try everything. The staff was super nice, the girl who helped us out picked and suggested their top items and we were not disappointed. I've been coming in since freshman year of college now to post grad work life and nothing has changed. The quality of donuts, amazing customer service, and creativity remains. I sampled their monthly flavors and the berrylicious and dubai chocolate was absolutely to die for!! I originally stoped by because I wanted to get dubai chocolate covered strawberries and it did not disappoint. They don't skimp on filling or strawberry so it was so decadent and worth every penny. The BEST vegan donuts in Southern CA. They are a family owned donut shop since 1985 and have perfected their donuts. Over COVID they experimented with vegan and let me tell you they have unlocked the treasure box. There is no where else I will get vegan donuts. This donut shop has been around for as long as I can remember. It has been completely revamped though, and even has photo op props inside. They serve some pretty unique items. If you're a fan of cream, like me, then you gotta get the Flan Donut. It's basically a donut sandwich with a massive mound of cream inside! Just be ready to open wide for this one...lol! They also cater for any event. The donuts will be made fresh to order with glazes, sauces and toppings. These large donut holes are crispy on the outside like a funnel cake, but super soft on the inside, like a cake donut. The blueberry sauce is my favorite. I also added a sprinkle of the chocolate cookie topping on top of the Thrifty vanilla ice cream scoop. Everything offered here is mouthwatering delicious! If you haven't been, you gotta make it out...you will not regret it! read more

Ube is a purple yam -- It has a smooth texture and a mild, sweet flavor that has been compared to white chocolate or a cross between vanilla and pistachio. That beautiful purple color is its natural color.
