Cozy sports bar, but has gone down hill over the past decade. They need to focus a bit more on cleaning as there is lot of dust on the memorabilia. Your glass isn't always clean either. We've started using UberEATS to have it delivered instead of eating amongst said dust. Make sure to sub the bacon for chili on the loaded waffle fries and you literally cannot go wrong with any of they cubbie claw flavors. We like the medium, honey BBQ, garlic Parmesan, and teriyaki the best. Drinks are pretty cheap and when there's a game on it's a fun experience. The servers aren't very attentive or intelligent but, Eh after a couple tries they'll figure out the difference between ranch and blue cheese LOL My advice: order in unless your looking for a real sports bar experience because you'll get it here. read more

Our favorite past time during football season is coming here and ordering a large order of the waffle fries, several dipping sauces, and a pitcher of Jai Alai. Their fries are extra crispy, just the way I like it, and most of their dipping sauces are tasty. The onions rings are also massive and made fresh, which I give them props for. I'm not the world's biggest fan of Friendly Confines. Their beer 'selection' is limited to domestics (not an issue if that's what you are into but doesn't work for me). My significant other was celebrating his 50th Birthday in March!! A BIG MILESTONE IN LIFE! He LOVES wings and this is his FAVORITE place to go! I decided to do a surprise party for him. I called the restaurant and spoke Milan. He was very helpful and accommodating! The day the surprise party came and I arrived early with decorations, cake and ect. This is s a sports bar. Plain and simple. The food is fairly cheap, lots of specials, and the wings seriously kick some major ass. Whether you get them grilled or fried, they taste pretty good (probably since they make a point to say that the wings are fresh, never frozen.) Everything else is pretty damn tasty. This isn't your fancy "pub" bar where everything is nice and shiny. It's a guy's guy's bar, with not much more decor than the sports and the tons of TVs everywhere. But if you want a sports bar, that's all you need. Lastly the drinks, still one of the cheapest places to get a drink in Orlando. I mean, 5 buck pitchers on domestics, and 6 for yuengling? Sold. Not to mention cheap mixed drinks. Try finding a 4 buck double call or top shelf anywhere near downtown Orlando; not gonna happen, but you will find it here. A good place for families during the day and your rowdy buddies. Most families tend to sit away from the bar area, so don't worry about getting a little excited during games, nights are a random assortment of locals, and everyone is really friendly there. Just was at this restaurant and had the worst service. The manager Jay call me a liar and said his waitress was right. She didn't put all of our order in and told the manager we didn't order but they were able to fill the order with out asking us what it was. So the waitress was the liar. She was on the table side. More like a college hang-out than a nice restaurant to take your family to, Friendly Confines is a regular hang-out for me. Every Monday night following volleyball a group of the players hits up Friendly Confines for some cheap beer and wings. It's a relatively good sports bar to hang out in but tends to cater to a younger, college-age crowd. They have a pretty extensive wing selection and they are rather tasty. They also offer a fairly good beer selection with one of my favorites, Blue Moon. And for always arriving with a decent size crowd of around 10, the service isn't too shabby either. It's a good atmosphere to kick back and relax while downing a beer or two and watching the big game with some friends. read more

Is your server standard getting too low? This zombie girl Tina that slowly moves around the restaurant is very much a turn off to want to sit here. Great place,great specials, friendly, casual sports bar. Wednesday's are trivia night. Wings are great, I do not think the mango habanero has enough heat. The spicy barbecue does though, the spicy teriyaki was just kinda weird. My favorites would have to be hot sauce and garlic Parmesan. Beers are cold and the drinks are strong, I also hear they make a mean Bloody Mary. It's a good place to grab lunch and a beer. Or dinner and a game and a beer. **AVOID THIS PLACE** The food is mediocre and the customer service is poor. Just wanted to let people know to avoid this place especially if you are going in a large group. We went here for a retirement dinner, several people were ordering shots, we were the last to get our tab and the rest of the shots and random drinks were placed on our tab. 8 patron shots, really?! This situation was made even more difficult by the fact that it would have been super embarrassing to make a dispute because all of our bosses were right there. Come on waitress, why not ask the table what shots were going on whose bill to clarify and avoid this? Then to top it off, I call to talk to the GM and his customer service is equally poor. He actually says "the only way to resolve this to make you happy is to take money out of the owners till and I can't do that." This review may be a little bias b/c I've been coming here for a while before writing a review so I have a compiled multiple experiences into this review... Overall, I love this place. Tonight is Thursday and they have a burger & beer special for $4.99! Its only a burger & domestic beer so any extras cost more even sides. I had a cheeseburger cooked med-rare and it came out that way! $uper excited and it actually had flavor.. A lot of places have burgers with no seasoning but tonights deal was delicious and fabulous... O-- Yuengling was my domestic beer choice.. My favorite thing to eat here is a blackend habena..ero mango chicken wrap! Awesome-sauce... With a side of ranch and broccoli.. They have a good selection of draught beer..craft, seasonal, and domestic along with great bottle bear.. I like this place, although a few of the regulars are kinda annoying. I also prefer the layout here, over the Waterford Lakes restaurant. Good food and reasonably priced. This is one of my favorite places to watch sports in Orlando hands down. Unlike many of their competitors they actually have great food. I always go for the Cubbie Claws or a Chicago Dog. In fact, I saw the Cubs win the World Series here with two Chicago natives. There are locals who are literally at the bar every day. Have you seen the show Cheers? Laid back atmosphere and a gazillion tv's everywhere - this is what I think of when I think of Friendly Confines. We have gotten decent service there the few times we have gone to this location. Surprisingly they have really tasty and tender ribs. Honey BBQ is the way to go. Ask for light sauce too unless you like your ribs smothered in sauce. I can't vouch for the rest of the food. I use to come here Tuesday nights with regularity, the waitresses are nice and always bring water and a pitcher right over. The food comes out pretty quick and always warm. The chicken tacos are really good I ask for a side of hot sauce to pour on top. Good pitcher prices and always have some liquor specials if you like that more. If you are more of a chicken tender type then try their tender and juicy cubbie claws with a sauce of your choice or eat them plain. Me and the hubby wanted to meet some friends for some drinks and laughs. We decided to try this place bc it was close to where we live. It was around 8ish when we arrived and it was pretty quiet not too many people, they started arriving a little past 9:30p and come to find out it was also Karaoke night on Friday's. At first our server seemed nice, took my order of a corona $5 and the hubby got crown and coke $6, they hooked him up with the drink bc it was strong like he likes it. I tend to forget when drinking I crave something to munch on and I thought maybe I can order some dessert, when looking at the menu there was no desserts and when I asked the server she didn't even know and proceeded to say she was new. I'm HUGE on customer service and I understand she was new however, she could have shown me a menu but she went to the back and asked someone. Came back to tell me Brownie and Apple pie I asked her if it came with ice cream and she said yea (tell me what else it comes with since I don't have a menu and never been here). I was getting a little annoyed because if you see a group of people drinking you know eventually they will get hungry so try to advertise what you have. I told her no on the dessert and kept looking at menu. Proceeded by ordering the 10 pc Claws (chicken tenders) medium BBQ for $9.99 must say they were good and juicy. My friend wanted to smoke a cigarette outside where everyone was so we all left out drinks with a note that says "Do not Clear please" when we came back inside my beer that was still almost full was gone but my friends boyfriends drink was still there.. aaahhhhh the aggravation. when I asked my server she said she doesn't know and goes to the back. Comes back to say she had to wait for her manager because no one knows what happened. My aggravation went up more, I just felt she was not looking after us, like if we were ok or needed something. This is a great place for food and sports. Great prices and sports on every channel. There was an issue with our appetizer but the staff was very quick to correct the issue and even comp the appetizer as an apology. They don't even do cover charges for fights.
