    Green and red salsa

We ordered birria tacos, and a taco combo. They were all great, good flavors, chips and salsa had a warm homemade tasting salsa. The stars of the show were the green salsa that I put in everything and our server that was single-handedly managing the whole front of the house. Great place, family-relaxed vibes. Great for a quick lunch.

    Parrillada para dos

Me and my girlfriend came in at the restaurant for Valentine's Day. It was our first time going for our date. We sat down and got served. Our server (I didnt get her name) was friendly and cooperative with us. We got the "parrillada para dos personas". It took a bit but it wasn't an issue because it came out juicy and fresh. I would definitely come in more with my girlfriend for more dates. (Our server was so nice and dedicated I hope I get to see her again.)

The best Birria tacos I've ever had!!!!

I've had Birria tacos many times before but, this restaurant is by far the best Birria tacos I've ever had! The delicious consommés sauce are really Barbacoa juices. That's why this is a 10 out of 10. And the Horchata drink was perfect!

i stopped by here after picking up terrible tacos from a location 15 mins away. i desperately hoped these tacos would be good, & they were! my only complaint is that they were really greasy, but i was aware of that being a possibility since it was mentioned in the reviews. nevertheless, im not from tx & i love birria tacos, so i think id come back if i was in the area. the service was prompt & quick, and my food was still hot by the time i arrived to my hotel 30 mins away. they also have daily specials & serve liquor.

3/5 Chicken 3/5 Beef 4/5 Pastor 4/5 Corn Tortillas A solid hole in the taco spot for lunch, dinner, or even a snack! The service is always quick and friendly, while the price for what you get is great! The chicken and beef is standard for what you would find at a small taco shop, while the pastor is pretty flavorful. I like my corn tortillas a bit on the crispy side and this place does just that. Great inside atmosphere as well.

Frida's is a super-cute Mexican spot right off Sylvan I found while hunting for a new birria spot. Everything is on theme, so the restaurant is brightly lit with pictures of Frida Kahlo everywhere, including a striking wall mural in front of the bar. The food is made fresh, so though I ordered my birria to-go, it was still piping hot when I arrived home and unpacked it. The birria tacos were fantastic, full of meat and cheese, and the consommé had good flavor and there was plenty of it. I only regret not ordering more because I shared it when I got home!

The food here is absolutely amazing! It's the definition of authentic mexican food!! The salsa had really good flavor and did not have a "pace" like salsa. The chicken pozole had such amazing flavors and was made with no dark meat, the broth was the best part. The portion sizes are huge and I couldn't even finish my bowl of pozole. The service was fast and our waitress checked on us many times throughout, the only confusion was when we were done with our food; we did not know where to go to pay but thankfully our waitress helped with that. I will be returning again!!

Their sign is kinda small and the gps makes you look on the other side of the street so be careful. Parking lot is a little small too. But once you park and go in you'll be in for a good time. Food and service were great!! The inside of the restaurant is a whole vibe. Took my whole family here and everyone thoroughly enjoyed their plate. Salsa was A1, spicy. I think the star of the show was the queso birria tacos, they were juicy and crispy.

This really one of my favorite places in Dallas to eat.. any chance I get to make it here I go .. Every thing I've tried here is amazing . Plus some days they have live music . A family owned business place gets better every time.

Breakfast with two of my sisters. The place is next to a Mexican Bakery across from the park with green cows. You can easily miss this place since it is off of Singleton. The server were friendly and attentive if we needed anything else. My sister and I had no complaints about our food but my other sister said her menudo was a little cold.

I'm from San Diego so Mexican food is 100% authentic and easily accessible out there. Since moving to Texas I've been trying to find a good taco shop. This place has the absolute best salsa and sauces I've had and the food is incredible. Had the Birria tacos and they were amazing. The place is cute, good music, great food, friendly service. Only thing missing is a good margarita which I think they're working on. Would definitely recommend and come back to this place

Here in Texas, chips and salsa are such a commonplace experience it's off-putting to pay for them. We ordered the guacamole and the chips and salsa come with it, so that was, I guess, better...but the guacamole was $16, so there's that. The salsa was tasty as was the guacamole, but again, for the portion it's really not worth it. We had the queso flameado, which was yummy and the flour tortillas are good! We split the sirloin and were underwhelmed. For a grilled meats place the steak was very under seasoned and wasn't giving us fresh hot grilled vibes. Meh at best, as were the rice and beans. We ordered elote as a side and it was really the best thing we ate. Service was friendly and efficient! Cocktails average $16ish. Again, for the prices we expected better.

I'll admit I was very skeptical about The Chicharrónes because they're either cooked right or they're not. They got it down here. Everything was cooked exceptionally well and delicious. 10/10 recommend. Food and drinks are great!

Chris our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. He took his time walking us through the menu and explaining what made El Carlos Elegante so special. The drinks were perfect. My wife loved her Desert Flor while I thoroughly enjoyed my Modelo Micheleda. Her Surf and Turf one hitter was exceptional. I have to say my Crab Cake was just ok. It tasted a little pasty and very heavy on the bread. The Pulpo was absolutely amazing. Perfect texture and the sauce it was served almost had me licking the plate. The El Machete was incredible from its presentation, to the freshness of the corn tortilla, to the quality of the meat inside. Definitely recommend this. We really liked our Okra + Shishito course, we just wished it had more okra in it. The two things I loved about the Al Pastor was of course the sauce it was served on but the fact that I got to enjoy it like a steak. It was served sliced on a bias like flank steak. Typically Al Pastor is finely chopped and served in tacos and burritos, so this was a different eating experience for me. And of course it was delicious as well. We cannot wait to come back and try more of the menu.

That visit checked every box -- the food, service, ambiance, and overall hospitality were all exceptional. What really stood out to me then was the attention to detail. I had casually mentioned that one of my cocktails wasn't quite my taste, and Harry personally reached out afterward to say they'd gladly adjust it next time. That kind of thoughtful follow-up leaves a lasting impression and is exactly the sort of hospitality that elevates a restaurant experience. Unfortunately, this recent visit felt like a completely different restaurant. We decided to do a combination of à la carte dishes along with the Experience menu after being told this version would feature entirely off-menu items, which genuinely intrigued us since Ihad also done the Experience previously. At the start of dinner, we were asked about allergies and dietary restrictions. I clearly explained that I have a mango allergy and do not eat beef. Our server then asked whether I ate other meats, and I clarified yes -- and even specifically mentioned that if the machete dish was beef, please still include it because my friend could enjoy it and I really wanted her to try it. He confirmed it would be the sirloin version, so we happily agreed not to modify that course. So imagine our surprise when one of the first dishes arrived dressed with a mango vinaigrette. Thankfully, we barely caught him quietly mentioning "mango" as he set it down. We immediately looked at each other thinking, "Didn't we just discuss the allergy?" It was disappointing, but unfortunately also representative of the overall service throughout the evening. Our server seemed disengaged, inattentive, and often not fully listening. Empty glasses sat untouched, opportunities to order additional items were missed, and at one point we were simply handed the check without even being asked if we wanted anything else. We also ordered a bottle of sparkling wine and ended up pouring it ourselves for most of the evening because our glasses were rarely refilled. I completely understand not leaving the bottle tableside if walkway space is limited, but repeatedly needing to get up ourselves to retrieve it felt out of sync with the level of service one expects from a Michelin-recommended restaurant -- especially at this price point. Then came the machete dish. Instead of the sirloin version we specifically discussed, we received the vegetarian potato version. When the server asked how it looked, I politely explained that we were disappointed because he had specifically told us it would be the sirloin preparation. At minimum, I would have expected another protein substitution given the earlier conversation about what I could eat. I'm also still unclear whether the Experience menu was truly "off-menu" as described, since several dishes -- including the halibut -- appeared familiar. Had that been communicated differently, we likely would have skipped the Experience altogether and simply curated our own meal. At the end of the night, spending over $500 while pouring our own wine, nearly being served an allergen we explicitly disclosed, and receiving dishes different from what was promised made for a deeply disappointing experience -- especially after such a phenomenal first visit. It honestly felt sad more than anything because I know how wonderful this restaurant can be. I'm not sure what changed in the last five months, but the difference was significant.
