Quesadillas Enchiladas en Salsa Verde Tacos ahogados Rice and beans

The resturant is extremely clean, the food was delicious and was ready in no time. The woman at the front counter was extremely helpful, not pushy, and made me feel welcome. The woman who cleared the table of dirty dishes was also extremely nice and I was very much satisfied eating their traditional Mexican dishes. I will certainly be coming back.

GREATT local spot, the ladies were so sweet and food came out in prbly under 5 mins. sopes were BOMB, birria was BOMB, everything was juicy and fresh. cute decor (we love a theme) and lots of seating. not the most affordable food out there (total came out to $40 with a drink) but 10x worth your money than taco bell !!

I deliver for Pepsi and this was my first time delivering here. The owners wife was super nice. Made my job easier for me. Now the food. I was asked if I wanted something to eat. So I said, "sure I'll take two tacos." She goes on to tell me the culture of the food and how good it was. I must say it was good. I would definitely be back to try something else. Clean kitchen and friendly employees. Masks were everywhere and that's what makes this place different. Oh yeah that red sauce is the flavor I've been looking for so good.

I discovered this wonderful resturant, in 2020 . I enjoyed birria tacos with consommé. beef flour tacos and the chicken tacos . crunchy and made fresh. The French fries and very tasty too. I highly recommend this place as a very friendly family establishment. I will come back .

None of this was any good and plus these are store bought corn tortillas.

I'm going to be honest nothing that we bought here was really any good. First of all they use store bought tortillas, they don't make their own tortillas. The carne asada tacos just lacked flavor and they were not memorable at all. The carnitas adobo were the same, just lacked. The rice and beans were lame as heck, again lacking flavor. The birria taco wasn't anything special either. The guy that took my order was nice and friendly. The restaurant was clean, but honestly the food is really mediocre. From a boy from the hood in the Oak Cliff area I would say nah!!

This place is 10/10. Friendly staff, AMAZING FOOD! I would highly recommend. You can't to wrong and all the options are authentic, delicious Mexican food.

I decided to stop and try this place since its been advertised a lot. Birria tacos were very salty, the carnitas i didnt even try them. The queso had a lot of coriander. The front lady was very nice , the restaurant was clean but food was simply not good.

I'm typing this review as I eat my food... 10/10!!!! The owner was kind and made great recommendations to my dad and I. I felt like I was back in Guadalajara We had the quesabirria tacos, camarón zarandeado tacos, sope de tinga and the taco eclipse (the empty plate) LOL everything was perfectly seasoned, and their 3 sauces was incredible. i'll be back to try more on the menu.

I did not have high hopes when friends recommended we go here. I could not have been more wrong. The food is incredible. Full stop. The food at hole-in-the-wall restaurants is usually good, but this place has everything. The rice and beans at most places is an afterthought. The rice and beans here were wonderful. The doors and tacos were incredible. The burritos are enormous and flavorful. To top all of that off, the decor of the restaurant is SO FRIGGIN COOL!!! The luchador theme could have been ridiculous or terribly done, but I was in awe. The design of the restaurant makes you want to learn more and look at everything. The owner of the restaurant could not have been nicer. Not only did they explain the history of the food, but we're very patient and accommodating. We had such an amazing time. We'll definitely be back.

Best tacos in all of Dallas...bar none. A family favorite that is in Oak Cliff. Discovered it a couple of year ago and now it's my spot.

Since the weather has been so nice lately, outdoor seating is super popular, so I'd recommend making a reservation if you can. Even though we didn't have one, they were still able to accommodate our group which we really appreciated. The service was amazing...everyone was so polite, attentive, and fast. The drinks were delicious and the food came out surprisingly quickly as well. They also offer valet, but if it's packed, there's parking across the street too which was convenient. Highly recommend for a nice lunch or dinner during the weekend. We'll definitely be coming back again!

The location is super cute and always packed. You definitely need a reservation or have to go super early to get a spot. There is valet parking as well as street parking, which can get a bit crowded. I've had a ton of different food items the years, but their fajitas are their signature dish for a reason! It comes out sizzling, fresh, and delicious. Do not pass up on the bone marrow sauce, it transforms the dish to beyond a 10/10! The salsas are always good and then tortilla chips salty and fresh. I start with a skinny margarita w a salt rim, which was good. Our waiter, Abraham, was great! He was very attentive and was very knowledgeable about the menu. We also order the ceviche to start, which was yummy! The crackers were a bit of an odd pairing for me and I stuck with tortilla chips, but overall delicious!! My friend ordered the steak quesadilla and thought it was tasty too.

We hung out comfortably and had a couple of drinks before heading out. The food is amazing!! Obviously every dish is meat based here and it's cooked to perfection. Seasoned deliciously and very tender. The garlic mashed potatoes were smooth and tasty. We also ordered Chicharrónes and guac. I'll admit I was very skeptical about The Chicharrónes because they're either cooked right or they're not. They got it down here. Everything was cooked exceptionally well and delicious. 10/10 recommend. Food and drinks are great!

Here in Texas, chips and salsa are such a commonplace experience it's off-putting to pay for them. We ordered the guacamole and the chips and salsa come with it, so that was, I guess, better...but the guacamole was $16, so there's that. The salsa was tasty as was the guacamole, but again, for the portion it's really not worth it. We had the queso flameado, which was yummy and the flour tortillas are good! We split the sirloin and were underwhelmed. For a grilled meats place the steak was very under seasoned and wasn't giving us fresh hot grilled vibes. Meh at best, as were the rice and beans. We ordered elote as a side and it was really the best thing we ate. Service was friendly and efficient! Cocktails average $16ish. Again, for the prices we expected better.

Chris our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. He took his time walking us through the menu and explaining what made El Carlos Elegante so special. The drinks were perfect. My wife loved her Desert Flor while I thoroughly enjoyed my Modelo Micheleda. Her Surf and Turf one hitter was exceptional. I have to say my Crab Cake was just ok. It tasted a little pasty and very heavy on the bread. The Pulpo was absolutely amazing. Perfect texture and the sauce it was served almost had me licking the plate. The El Machete was incredible from its presentation, to the freshness of the corn tortilla, to the quality of the meat inside. Definitely recommend this. We really liked our Okra + Shishito course, we just wished it had more okra in it. The two things I loved about the Al Pastor was of course the sauce it was served on but the fact that I got to enjoy it like a steak. It was served sliced on a bias like flank steak. Typically Al Pastor is finely chopped and served in tacos and burritos, so this was a different eating experience for me. And of course it was delicious as well. We cannot wait to come back and try more of the menu.

That visit checked every box -- the food, service, ambiance, and overall hospitality were all exceptional. What really stood out to me then was the attention to detail. I had casually mentioned that one of my cocktails wasn't quite my taste, and Harry personally reached out afterward to say they'd gladly adjust it next time. That kind of thoughtful follow-up leaves a lasting impression and is exactly the sort of hospitality that elevates a restaurant experience. Unfortunately, this recent visit felt like a completely different restaurant. We decided to do a combination of à la carte dishes along with the Experience menu after being told this version would feature entirely off-menu items, which genuinely intrigued us since Ihad also done the Experience previously. At the start of dinner, we were asked about allergies and dietary restrictions. I clearly explained that I have a mango allergy and do not eat beef. Our server then asked whether I ate other meats, and I clarified yes -- and even specifically mentioned that if the machete dish was beef, please still include it because my friend could enjoy it and I really wanted her to try it. He confirmed it would be the sirloin version, so we happily agreed not to modify that course. So imagine our surprise when one of the first dishes arrived dressed with a mango vinaigrette. Thankfully, we barely caught him quietly mentioning "mango" as he set it down. We immediately looked at each other thinking, "Didn't we just discuss the allergy?" It was disappointing, but unfortunately also representative of the overall service throughout the evening. Our server seemed disengaged, inattentive, and often not fully listening. Empty glasses sat untouched, opportunities to order additional items were missed, and at one point we were simply handed the check without even being asked if we wanted anything else. We also ordered a bottle of sparkling wine and ended up pouring it ourselves for most of the evening because our glasses were rarely refilled. I completely understand not leaving the bottle tableside if walkway space is limited, but repeatedly needing to get up ourselves to retrieve it felt out of sync with the level of service one expects from a Michelin-recommended restaurant -- especially at this price point. Then came the machete dish. Instead of the sirloin version we specifically discussed, we received the vegetarian potato version. When the server asked how it looked, I politely explained that we were disappointed because he had specifically told us it would be the sirloin preparation. At minimum, I would have expected another protein substitution given the earlier conversation about what I could eat. I'm also still unclear whether the Experience menu was truly "off-menu" as described, since several dishes -- including the halibut -- appeared familiar. Had that been communicated differently, we likely would have skipped the Experience altogether and simply curated our own meal. At the end of the night, spending over $500 while pouring our own wine, nearly being served an allergen we explicitly disclosed, and receiving dishes different from what was promised made for a deeply disappointing experience -- especially after such a phenomenal first visit. It honestly felt sad more than anything because I know how wonderful this restaurant can be. I'm not sure what changed in the last five months, but the difference was significant.
