I visited here with my family few days ago, and this place is still fantastic. You can find daily happy hour specials, senior specials and more. We ordered sleeve size Yellow Dog ($7), Gramp's Fish and Chips ($15), Oma's Schnitzel ($15), Nonna's Spaghetti ($15) and F&F Farmhouse Salad ($10). Yellow Dog Hazy IPA had citrusy after taste. We couldn't pick a favorite food out of everything. Fish and chips were crispy, schnitzel was yummy and Spaghetti were great. Great price with variety. Wonderful vibe to bring friends and families. Finally after being 29 days in Kamloops ended up @ Frick Frack for a quick bite . Ordered a pitcher of draft beer with house wings , so many options my god confused but loved it !!!! Ordered a set of 10 buffalo wings and after binging on it , desired for more so ordered a punch of buffalo and teriyaki wings . Wings were good but not great . This place is colourful and has cool signage and decor. It's located on Victoria street a main drag downtown close to The Thompson Hotel and Hotel 540. They had fishbowl drinks on special, so me & my gf split one. It was ok, but we could barely taste any alcohol in it, despite it having a full Mike's Hard Lemonade dumped on top - bottle and all! The food prices were crazy ! Way too much for anywhere - but especially for Kamloops ?! We both decided to start with a bowl of Won ton soup. It was 8.50 a bowl. It had exactly 4 won tons in it! found myself in dt kamloops for work not too long ago...was there cause of work... anyhow, the gang wanted to find dinner and drinks all in the same place. we were supposed to go someplace else but that joint was full, along the way, we saw this place and decided to try our luck. by kamloops standards, this place is huge. it was also packed and we had to wait a bit for a large table. the owner was walking around making sure all the waiting guests were not forgotten...constantly assuring us that the table is being prepped and keeping us abreast of the waiting time. servers were actively asking if we wanted a drink, and gave us the menu to study while we waited. as soon as we were seated, drinks came and i ordered the special of the day. it was roast chicken breast and a half rack of ribs with fries or salad, all for $19.99. wow! the chicken was juicy and full of flavour. the ribs were good too. but in my opinion, they couldve used more time at the grill to bring out the natural smoke and bbq flavour. but nonetheless, they were fall of the bone tender. servers were awesome too..despite the busy night, our water glasses were always attended to and they would pass by asking if we needed anything else. i felt taken care off. however, when i asked for a bit of gravy , i didnt realized they would charge me. wouldve been good if they informed me in advance... anyhow, towards the middle of the meal , our table was given a round of free shots of peach vodka, a reward for the wait that we endured. we were very thankful..lol interior was great. nice big bar with a couple of bartenders. everyone seemed happy to work there and were always interacting with the customers. when in kamloops, highly recommend this place. really good value fornyour hard earned $. portions are huge.better deal than dining in vancouver. cheers! read more

The hubs is hungry and happened after 3pm, so we decided to hit up this joint for the advertised happy hour. Customer service: we were promptly seated and our server attended to our needs. Our server is on top of our orders and remember to come back to check up on us. Kitchen service: we ordered our ceasars at 3:05pm and the orders arrive by 3:11pm. We then ordered honey garlic chicken wings and JD poutine from the happy hour menu at 3:15pm. The orders arrived at 3:31pm. Atmosphere: typical bar atmosphere. We are here on a Saturday afternoon and there are tons of patrons. Mayhaps because Blue Jays are playing. Cleanliness: the tables and cutlery are clean. However, the menu and the glass in which my ceasars was served were sticky. My table napkin has stains on them. Portion: the poutine came in a decent-sized skillet, while the wings looks like to be a pound in weight (10 pieces). Taste: the poutine is nicely seasoned and sauced. Generous ingredients and full of flavour. The wings are OK. One can tell that the sauce was poured on after the wings were fried. Overall: we will likely come back for the happy hour. read more

This is a must try in Kamloops! Yes it's a pub with like 200 beers available and in my opinion a few notches up on probably most pubs anywhere. Not a cookie cutter corporate type pub but a unique experience. Great food and when we were there wonderful service including a visit from who we thought was a the owner . Frick and Frack is fine I guess. I never choose to come here on my own but due to a lack variety of pubs in downtown Kamloops, sometimes I end up here. Everything on their menu is pretty predictable "American" fare. You have your standard burgers, pizza, wings, and nachos. There are also some random additions like ginger beef and calamari. Not a lot for vegetarians but they are willing to make modifications for you if you ask. I usually just go for the spinach dip. It hasn't failed me yet. The real highlight of Frick and Frack is their drink menu. They have a decent selection of beers on tap and a colourful menu of fun, fruity drinks. They even have alcoholic milkshakes if you are so inclined. Overall, I don't dislike Frick and Frack. I'm never itching to go there but the decent food and great service make it palatable. There are just more interesting places to eat and drink in Kamloops. read more

Everything was fine until I lifted my glass of beer to have a sip, the bottom fell right off the glass, weird. But then we asked 3 times for help from staff, no one came until 15 minutes later, the beer soaked my cloths, some of our food on our side of the table, and all around us. They seemed to think it was my fault they bought cheap glassware as they charged us for all the beer drenched food as well as the glass of beer that broke in my hand, until I complained again so they comp'd 1 desert & the 1 beer. I write this review solely on my experience at the bar, your mileage as a party at a table may vary. Bars are usually the best place to watch the staff have fun while still being taken care of, and that was definitely the case here. Conversation with the staff helped the time pass while golf had the audacity to be on TV. F&F has an .. eclectic beer selection, especially if you're used to a detailed inventory in beer towns in the USA - still, their selection of local drafts was appreciated. I had a few pints and some buffalo wings. The wings weren't the best I've had, but they were crispy and well sauced (most importantly, they were cooked through!) although they were served without any accoutrements. Is it the best bar I've been to? No. Was it a fun way to pass a few hours and have a few pints? Definitely yes. read more

The service was good but the food - over salted to the point of being inedible --- however The flys that were buzzing around the premises thought it appetizing - Needless to say we will never return .To give them credit they comped 50 percent on my meal but even that gesture would not entice us to recommend or return. read more

Im giving 1 star for the variety of food on the menu. The 2nd star for the lone server busting her ass, since she was working by herself. There was a "bartender" there, but it seemed like the server was making her own drinks as well. Unfortunately, because she was by herself, it made for a bad experience. This purely comes down to management not scheduling anyone else. She was serving all 30 people or so in the restaurant. Because of this, orders were getting behind, food was kept up in the window for a long time. I think this is what happened with my food. Being from PA, I ordered the pierogies , thinking they might be good as this is an easy dish to prepare. Not so in this case. The dough was a little stiff and the filling not too hot. These things should be sauteed in butter with onions and it seems like they just put a few raw red onions with it. It came with bacon, which really didnt seem to fit, in my opinion. Then I ordered some sliders. I couldnt tell you how they tasted because they sat up in the window for close to 10 minutes. And I didnt want to eat cold food. So I refused them. This all could have been prevented if there was another server there. Or maybe if this "bartender" would have run food out. Multi-task. Figure it out Frick & Frack or you will close your doors quickly. read more

My wife and I stopped in here on a Sunday night on our way from Calgary to Vancouver with our 2 year old son. The place was busy and seemed understaffed. The server appeared to be trying but service wasn't very good. While it is kid friendly you might re think bringing children in if your kids are not custom to waiting patiently. The bathroom was also dirty and out of paper towel. I'm not saying I wouldn't try it again the food was good but not the service. I really enjoyed the six pack sampler though! read more

The place had typical bar food, and although it wasn't horrible, there wasn't anything very memorable about it. My husband and I had a chicken fajita platter, which was the special that night. I could have use a little more heat to the dish, but it was OK as served. The waitress was very nice , and let us take our time lingering over our meal. We sat outside, which was a plus. The place does turn into kind of a noisy bar later in the evening, so go early if you want to enjoy some quiet conversation. Considering the other nearby options, it was a good pick. read more
