Seems to be a brand new brewery. Everything is nicely designed and shiny new! Nice staff, lots of space good bubbly fun atmosphere. The beer left a lot to be desired, everything was in the same flavor profile. This place joined only one other brewery I have been to in my life that I left with out getting a growler fill. We were hungry and ordered both late night snacks, the chips and salsa and the empanadas. Hard pass for both if I were to return. So stingy with the salsa and it seemed like most of our chips were The broken bottom of the bag ones. The Empanadas were okay, but they were dry. Very "instagrammable" flights, copper piping on wood. Lots of parking! Maybe just growing pains. Next time I'm in town I'd be curious to try again.

A nice relaxing beer at the end of an eventful day!

Great beer and tacos! Been to breweries all over the Pacific NW, Colorado and Europe and this place is worth the stop.

Sort of disappointed because several selections were not available. Overall, I enjoyed the beer that was available, service was attentive.

The place is about 1h out of Kamloops, and maybe 45 minutes from Salmon Arm. In case you're wondering, a Crannog is a Scottish (and Irish) stilted building, usually built on bogs. Getting here involves a turn onto a side street (literally an intersection, not an exit) right off Highway 1. A GPS helps big time here. Parking is available in the small lot in front of the building. There is barely enough room for 8 vehicles. Other than 1 type of brew during my visit, only pre-filled growlers were available. In other words, one cannot simply bring in a growler for a filling for most beers. Guess their operation is too small. I was able to fill my growler for $15, while my buddy picked up a pre-filled one for $20. Tours are available (free, but reservation required), which last about 1h. This is a special mention, because not only is it quite educational, but those who complete the tour get a free tasting (4 beers at the time of writing) at The Bloody Stump, their in-house tasting room. Definitely learned quite a few things. For example, almost everything used for brewing is produced on the property. The water is drawn from a well, and the hops are grown on site. The used barley is used to feed the hogs in a small pen nearby, and the hog poop is used to grow more hops. The tasting room is very cozy, but this is where one can try the different brews. Special mention goes to the Red Branch ale. This is probably one of the best craft beers I've ever had in my entire life. Yes, it's that good. I regret not picking up a pre-filled growler of that stuff.

On a recent drive back to Vancouver from the Prairies we were able to stop in to this beautiful location not too far from Merritt BC. We had a chance to sample a few of the ciders which varied and taste and then purchased a few bottles. We were able to crack open a bottle and enjoy it on a bench outside and taking the peaceful surroundings. They are one of our most favourite ciders we have ever had and this visit was a treat. You can also purchase some other small local goods in their shop.

They use English & French dessert apples and everyday eating apples to create some delicious concoctions! This family run business started off with an idea to make cider in a bucket in their kitchen, and turned into a business after taking many cidermaking courses with some of the pros! They have a Bunk House dry hopped cider that is delicious and the perfect cider for all you beer lovers, made with Cascadian and Chinook hops. The School House ginger infused gives a nice warm and spicy punch of ginger. Joe Shack Rhubarb infused is obviously my favourite, I've never had a rhubarb cider before and now I'm obsessed! Made with local BC rhubarb of course! The Cook House is a raspberry infused, which makes it a little tart and sweet. Then they have their Big Dry, Little Dry, Pear Dry and English Dry. They also have a cider club where you'll get a case for Spring, Summer & Fall with free pickups in Merritt, Kamloops, Kelowna and Vancouver and starting at only $71 a case, that's under $6 a bottle! Woot! They have no doubt inspired me to jump on the cider wagon!
